I saw rows of nice original Lee-Enfields and Mausers in a gun shop in Paarl, RSA, gathering dust and not getting sold in 2008. Almost impossible to buy them.
Ordered one of those C grade No 1s and will have a video up on it on my channel soon. Should hopefully be a good project and use up some of my spare parts.

Missing front hand guard, rear Hand guard half gone, forend cracked in multiple places, major crack in butt stock, missing barrel band, few screws missing, non matching numbers, almost no rifling, bullet test swallows to brass. I might have $150 firearm at that.. Best of luck to you on the gamble

FYI: Carcano clips are not "stripper" clips. Loaded clips are inserted into the magazine and remain there during use. When the last round is loaded into the chamber, the empty clip falls out of the bottom of the magazine. Without a clip in place, you have a single-shot rifle. Function is similar to an en-block clip in an M1 Garand.
@@whylikethis117 Well, one is a single-stack that falls from the bottom of the magazine thanks to gravity. The other is a double-stack that is ejected upwards out of the receiver. Therefore, they are not identical in operation and I see nothing wrong with my statement that function is similar.
@@jimcarr5504 the function of a garand clip has nothing to do with its ejection method, thats more to do with the magazine than the clip itself. But i do see what youre saying, i just interpreted the last sentence of your original comment differently that was intended.
@@Mikhail-Tkachenko first you have to have some sort of proof it never showed up. if you could get a refund just by shouting " i didnt get it" everyone would get free shit. i dont know what the op did or said or how he conducted himself i DO know however ive had no issues with RSI shipping promptly and delivering what i purchased nor have i had to wait more than 24 hours for a response from them by email.. i just in fact finished restoring a vetterli carcano i bought from them last year.. so im going to go ahead and assume the OP did something incorrect to get himself in this mess..

However navigation is difficult, no major index of arms types with sub menus taking the user quickly to the Lugers for example. Hire a pro for some temp work, pay the going rate. I will help sales immensely. PS: Remember, bore condition is paramount, be upfront about what the buyer is getting.
I got one on sale for $200, broken magazine, bolt didn't headspace, missing barrel bands, stock was broken, chamber looked like someone had gone at it with a hammer and punch so even though the bore was really nice on the rifle it was completely unshootable. Still haven't learned my lesson though and just ordered a C grade No.1 Mk3, hope that turns out better.
In the email rolled out on the 11th of June on the latest shipment they received it said Lebel was in there. I emailed the customer care team and they would not confirm. They replied “we are still sorting the shipment”

I'm willing to do a little work now and then but gee whiz people these for the most part look like reclamation projects..I love ol' mil surp but not this ol' and beat up..still, for the avid kinda DIY types these would be real projects to take on and for those who find that to be fun then there is a lot of fun to be had at this offering.

The function isnt similar to an enbloc clip, they legitimately are just en bloc clips
