@@annmorris6280 Although I understand your point, some of the intensity and passion is lost whithin the messege when you dettach the person from saying what comes true to them. Also, they made a clean version, in order to acommodate and reach different audiences, so people such as yourself can also learn from his life story. Therefore, now understanding this other point of view, I hope you have aquired a deeper appreciation for the explicit version of the messege. As well as, the value and knowledge you could learn from other individuals that speak their truth.

Same here. And the “ill make myself good enough.” Ive always been the skinny (arms and legs), fat (belly and moobs), clumsy guy in my group. At 38 yrs old I found goggins as covid hit the world. 2.5 yrs later im down 75 lbs. Do yoga daily. Train bjj 5 days a week. As my friends get older and fatter and drink more and more booze, i shed lbs, added muscle mass, eating clean. I made myself good enough to run a half marathon. I invented a new person. People ive met since think Ive always been mr fit, until i show them my before pics

People just dont do that... force themslves to suffer. Goggins punished himself; not to defeat himself, but to overcome what he felt could defeat him. Adversity shaped him, improved him, and made him the iron man he is today. Stay hard.

Grew up, rebelled against the discipline... Gained 80 lbs.. now here I am at 29, hating myself realizing I need to fix this.
Started eating better, cut out sugary drinks... And then felt ready. Stretched, and started running. After thirty seconds I dropped to my knees in agony, unable to breath... And cried. Felt so fucking pathetic I wanted to die.

Dude whatever it is that you need to do just know that the only limit you have is your mind. I'm a big believer in developing or hardening your own mind to overcome challenges in your life and to not look at what others are doing, even if its inspiring, like Goggins running. a million miles or going through 3 hell weeks, your own journey isn unique to you. I'm just gonna give you a look into my mindset and how i did this for myself. My sister attempted suicide in my freshman year of high school and i lost everything. I shut down completely, my social life, I forgot about my health and became comfortable doing nothing. Not studying, not talking to anyone, but friends that I already had, not working out. The way Goggins has a voice in his head that tells him that hes not good enough, mine was the opposite. I continued down this path, through sophomore year and then COVID gave me yet another excuse to prolonge this loser mentality. Then I heard the other voice. The voice that says "You're not Fucking Good Enough." This is probably what you're hearing right now. Anyway, I went from 270 lbs to 180 in 5 months. It was an improvement but im 6'5 so I became "skinny fat" cus all I was doing was grueling cardio. I was still, "depressed" and I still didn't like what I was, even though other facets of my life had improved like academics and I was generally in better health. Some m ore time past and other aspects of life that i won't get into deterred me a little bit, but there was already some adversity that i had overcome, so I got a little complacent. Anyway, this cycle continued until I discovered Goggins. This was only a couple months ago, but just by developing the mentality to harden your mind is incredibly important. remind yourself that you're a bad motherfucker and no ones gonna stop you. Discipline and Consistency are important. Just by doing this, I'm now about 210 and have a solid amount of muscle, but the answers lie in the repetitions. People tell you to embrace the grind, but you don't have to embrace it, in fact if you don't hate it, you're not working hard enough. Find it within yourself to tell yourself that you have to do this. Culture today provokes us to tell ourselves and others that they're perfect how they are, but you know that you're not fulfilling your potential just like I do. I've vowed to myself to never stop improving myself as a human, which is something that I think everyone should do. I'm not typing this bug ass paragraph to patronize you or anyone that reads it, but to just give insight on how developing the, "dog mentality", which I haven't fully developed btw, It's an everyday battle, can change someone's life like it did mine. i have complete and utter peace of mind and focus when it comes to improving as a human each and every day now. If your goal is easier or harder than what I did, develop the mentality that is fit for you and your situation. Only you can harden your mind to fulfill its potential. Anyway bro I hope this somehow gets to you. I don't know why I've spent all this time typing this out, but I really think that by reading your comment, you've come to a real realization in your lifer and at this point I wanted to let you know that You are unstoppable and know that you want it more than anything youre gonna harden your mind and shape yourself into a bad motherfucker. Go Get that shit!

God bless all who find this video to give you that drive. We need to stop with the, “Imma Dos.” and, “Maybe I’ll Do It Tomorrow.” The times now let’s do it y’all got it. My father ran the Badwater 135 with this man. It's a 135 mile run that starts in Death Valley in July, ends near the top of Mt. Whitney. A lot of folks thought that David wasn't qualified to run the race, supposedly he wasn't based on qualifications needed to run the race, but I understand the board made an exception, and he completed it. His first race (not sure if there are more) was a struggle from all accounts, but he stopped at nothing and persevered. My dad, also ex special forces, completed the run at age 58. It's mindset that carries someone through something like that. We are talking about running for 2+ days (for most folks) with temperatures up to 130 degrees and massive incline. The longest range, highest heat, and most incline of any run in the U.S. and perhaps the world. BEAST.

This isn't just something that can be applied to exercise. Every day I write, I educate myself through online university courses, I play music, I cook myself nutritious food, I get smarter. One day I am going to be at MIT. Or at least I am going to try. I know it might take me a long time. But this is who I am now. Every time I think I'm not smart enough, every time I doubt I can get there, I look back to videos like this, I look back to the highschool dropout self from three years ago and say 'I'm not that. My story doesn't end here.' Then I get back to educating, doing a little bit more every day, pushing my brain a little bit further. Eventually, this will be all I do. Wish me luck - although I don't think I need it.

      www.foodrevolutionsummit.org/immunity/?orid=471093&opid=343
These are an amazing cast of speakers. Dr Greger is very important but so are the others. See if any speak on anxiety directly I’m not sure at this point.
I originally switched to plant based when watching Jon McMahons iThrive series on obesity diabetes and heart disease. I had just resigned myself that I would live with anxiety. But I had to change my heart and pre diabetes condition. But I switch to plant based and about 3 months later I didn’t notice but my anxiety was basically gone. About a year later i was trying to remember my last panic attack and was like it’s been at least 6-8 months. Normally I would have 3-4 a week. So it was a good byproduct of the switch to whole food diet and exercise.
The best resource I’ve found on UA-cam is Dr. Greger. He is famous for showing people what they need to eat each day. He doesn’t charge for any of his advice. And his book all profit is donated. And he doesn’t sell any programs. He teaches you what to eat and how. With his daily dozen checklist.
      ua-cam.com/video/g0UmVKA-4F8/v-deo.html
      His UA-cam site.
      ua-cam.com/users/NutritionFactsOrg?app=desktop
Remember none of this is some magical cure. This is real life and it requires a step by step change and dedication. But I guarantee you will be better off.
VERY IMPORTANT: you need a balanced diet on plant based as it can be difficult if you miss nutrients or vitamins. Eat a variety of vegetables for salads and meals. Get all the four groups of fruits and vegetables, whole grains and beans (nuts and mushrooms) in you everyday. The mind needs these nutrients. As well you will need a source of B12 in your diet as this only comes from diet which people don’t eat anymore.
The plants and exercise helps regulate the body and mind which allows you to then sleep better, which I believe also has an excellent impact on reducing anxiety.
I listened to Goggins everyday of my journey. Still do most days. Every interview of his. Listened to his book at least three times in full and both Joe Roggins interviews as many times to help me. I’ve turned my life around but it never ends. Believe it or not I qualified for the Ironman 70.3 world championships in my age group and I’m 50yo. And trust me 15-16 months ago I was a mess. 25-30kg overweight, no exercise for 20 years and had a mild heart attack driving my 5 year old daughter to school. Panic attacks anytime I was in a confined room or meeting or mall or restaurant. I think you probably know this hell.
I know I wrote a lot here and I just hope it helps you like it helped me. Happy to help you along the way. Fuxk these food companies and drug companies plying us with shit. To me Goggins is the answer and healthy living.
In fact If you want to email me directly you can at rogercorns@gmail.com. Just so you know I’m not some internet clown plying BS. I’ve lived through extreme anxiety and know how it feels.

@Nachiketh Hanumante. Thanks. It’s funny you say that as when I first listened to Goggins (his first like ten minutes of his first JRE podcast hit me like a tonne of bricks) I used to sit and listen and take notes. One of the notes I wrote was:
This life is my video game. Somewhere in the heavens I decided to play this and this is why I am here. I’m going to play it my way and do the good things that bring the most points. Those points will be achieved through suffering. Suffering is the key to this game.
There’s so many distractions. I’m writing on one right now lol. Dr. Jordan Peterson taught me the importance of scheduling. He starts with the premise what does your perfect day look like? Then write it down. Then scheduled it in. He knows not every day can be like that. But as long as it’s better than the last then you’re improving.
A clear healthy mind full of nutrition is going to be great for creativity.

    Mr. Goggins,
I just wanted to say how inspiring I find your story. I am glad I ran across this video because my sister just sent me a copy of your book which I will start reading today. After high school ended in '81, a very close friend of mine decided to become a SEAL. I was a fairly decent long distance runner in school, so he asked me to run with him to prepare for BUDS. After the the first 4 or 5 days , he left me in the dust !!! ! I could sense a change in him and a strong sense of drive that only got stronger and stronger as time passed. He also was not a swimmer, but pushed himself at the local YMCA pool and it worked, he is still in the Navy today. You may know him, his name is Jesse Gross. I am so proud of him and am grateful for his and your service. Thank you !!!! If you do know Jesse, and are still in the Seal community, please tell him hello from his friend Dave in Grants Pass, OR. I look forward to reading your book and wish you well.
    David Hannum

That's amazing how he explains the transition in the mindset of "I can't do this" into "What if I did this, how great of a story would that be" That's like the biggest barrier in anyone's life destroyed in one notion...

I watched a Goggins video recently and one simple thing he said has changed my life completely. I have struggled with thinking I have no real purpose in life for a long time. But he said that the Main purpose in you’re life is yourself and that one statement alone has inspired me to make myself a best version of me.
Dave Goggins you literally saved my life anc I will forever be thankful.

What a story! He got himself into BUDS and then endured three hell weeks...wow. He built himself back up after his father tore him down. Thanks for this inspiring video.

I’ve played this video one too many times. This video is such a clear presentation of the human potential is endless. No matter where you come from, you are able to accomplish anything with hard work and dedication. When I’ve first listened to this I’ve tried to run close to 1 mile but couldn’t, the more close I’ve listened to this video the more I got out of it. A month later I’m able to run 10 miles at a 8:30 pace. I’ve grew up fat and been picked on my entire life. Never in my life I would have thought I can run past a mile. Whoever reads this I just want you to learn from this comment to never give up on yourself, and don’t ever go easy on yourself.

I've been binge watching Goggins videos. At first it was motivating me, then out of nowhere some demons from my childhood came up and now I realize the depth of what he's saying. And what he's saying is helping me to face those things and deal with them. I've done this before many times, but new layers have come up. That's what he's about, fully dealing with any demons and flipping it on its head. Me too. Let's go.

When this man entered my life my first reaction was that he was another American posing for the social media without knowing a lot about him.
I saw a video of him explaining what was said in this video and I kept listening. I realised I could relate to him about my father as I also had a rough time growing up. He said he visited his dad ten years later, sat there looking at him and thought...
“you had something in your life that fxxked you up and decided to take it out on me and mum without dealing with it yourself so you passed it onto us” and then he explains like this video.
It’s really hit home for me after floating around for most of my adult life and it is something I needed to hear from a man like Goggins.

If he had the money to get a personal trainer to help him lose 100lbs in 3 months. Every single professional personal trainer would say that is impossible. Even if you starved yourself with no food, you can only burn 2000 calories a day. When I was young, I was really fucking poor. I remember what it is like to be hungry.
David goggins was in a constant state of starvation for 3 months. Let me tell you, that's a lot of fucking pain and suffering. He burned like 5000-6000 calories a day.
2 meals a day at ranger school was probably a walk in a park.
