Awesome I’m a decent bunker player that gets the ball on the green 99% but needed a reminder me that sand tip was brilliant!! Tack Fredrik blir en heldag i bunkern på söndag✊
Great drills. I've always heard the three goals of playing out of bunkers, #1 - Hit it out, #2 - Hit it on (the green), #3 - Hit it close. This makes me actually want to practice my bunker shots more! 😆I have problems when some of the courses I play here in Hawaii, the sand is inconsistent. Some have very little to no sand (almost being like hardpan), while some have REALLY powdery, deep, fluffy sand. It would be great if you could have a vid showing varying techniques for playing from those different conditions.
I noticed Freddy had a more square stand to the ball and the line in the sand but Pete had his left foot behind the line in the sand and facing about 30 deg to the line so he was not replicating Freddy’s swing.
The problem in my area is only one golf course has a practice bunker. And they know it. They charge $100/month just for a bunker practice membership. If anything it's helped me to avoid hitting into the bunkers during a round, lol.
why not take the last tee time of the day during the weekend and practice on any hole after the 1st ? thats what i do. im from uk so i get held up a lot so i practice putting or chipping if theres no one behind me
Ok in the sand, BUT … How do you get out of DEEP ROUGH? Too often, thick grass causes the clubface to fan open or grabs the hosel and shuts it. It seems way too penal to miss a foot off the fairway only to find your ball buried in 4” or 6” rough 🙄
Sometimes you just gotta take your medicine. If the rough is really penal, just take a lofted club and hit it back onto the fairway' even the tour pros will do that. Take the really big number out of the equation an accept the bogey (or a miraculous par save) and just take out the double or worse.
Green side bunkers are easy, it's fairway bunkers that suck. Honestly, I think that people struggle in bunkers because they are convinced they are hard.
Fred is so chill and such a good teacher. Love the content with you two together.
The best bunker drill i have come across, cheers Pete 👏

Best Bunker video I've ever seen! thanks!
I've used this guy's advice before and my accuracy out of bunkers has improved greatly. Great video Mr. Finch.
Ty
In the UK the “throwing the sand” drill would need to be replaced with a “launching the mud” drill!! Cracking video.
This was great instruction.
Favorite piece of advice was the "throw the sand towards the target." That makes a lot of sense in my brain about how my swing/feels are.
Great tutorial, need to practice this today!

I am streaky in the bunker, (not like riding a bicycle) but now I think I know better and I have practice these fundamentals

Great lesson. What happens if the bunker is hard and compacted how can I play that shot?
I love it Pete
im about the worst bunker player out there ill be trying this today seems like it works.

Bugger me I wish I'd seen this video b4 my last round .... maybe my sand wedge would be still alive and in one piece!

Loft is your friend and swing hard.
Take your medicine, which means a wedge, grip tighter than usual and swing hard.
Rough is there to punish us!

Nothing new here. But recaps what everyone else has said.
