From my experience (Just playing Librams in the Tavern Brawl because of the "Play 125 Paladino cards" weekly)... Yrel isn't even that good. Like, the 3 old Librams just don't do enough anymore. The power comes from getting the repeatable +3/+3 buff and the 3x 3/3 minions to 0 but these require getting most (Or all in the case of the minions) of the discount cards played... It's making me angry they not nerfed saurun broken frustrating otk and they just killed Reno what about stupid elemental mage otk lamp lighter isn't important
Okay i know that hearthstone needed to reduce the powerlevel of cards but this feels like early hearthstone nerf design. As in butchering the card. The goal was to weaken it to be in line with tgdb not make them nearly unplayable.😅 Well at least some still survived I think
I am using Malted Magma in my pirate shaman in Wild mostly for AOE. Yeah, occasionally it works as a reach, but not a huge hit as i was expecting (going to 3).
Honestly, if Quasar had gotten the "not less than one" treatment, i actually think it would be a great card. We'd probably see the first "big rogue" deck ever.
Wow, asteroid Shaman is going to love the new meta, if people are really trying to play Starships and more slower decks. Especially because none of it's pieces were nerfed. Ethereal Oracle does so much for 3 mana and Shaman has some really good cheap Spells to combine with this card. The variant I play doesn't care for late game combo's with Shudderblock. Early, fight for tempo, all the asteroid cards and Incindius and loads of Spell damage and draw spell(s). With the spell damage being so easy and plentiful it's actually not that hard to push a lot of damage and clear their board, over and over again, or just go face whe they try to control your board. But maybe I am still too low ELO, diamond five in EU now, to really see what it's potentially power level is.
So considering this last nerf to Reno what is the point then to Reno decks when the payoff isn’t worth it? Also do we get dust refunds for other highlander cards?
I'm assuming they'll revert reno once it goes to wild. Even at 8 mana it was good for wild because it gave reno decks a chance and i'd rather have reno decks at the top than aggro/combo
All the decks I've been making for dark beyond just got a little more viable, especially reno nerf. At first I thought maybe reno should be cheaper now, but it still clears your board without procing deathrattles and that's still worth 10 in my opinion
It sucks that they keep not doing choose one cards, makes Runes seem like a working mechanic I wanted them to drop the Refresh and give us Choose One, Choose One, Choose One so we can actually use the Choose One synergy in standard
If they were going to do this to Reno then why not put him back to eight mana??? Unbelievably foolish choice to gut him in this way AND leave him at ten mana, ugh.
If Reno is that frustrating to play against they should also rework every single "For the rest of the game" card aswell at this point, Brann, Odyn, Helya, Kil'jaeden etc. and now that Reno is nerfed Sergares and Rheastrasza. These are frustratig cards with literall 0 counterplay except being lucky with a Dirty Rat.
@@FoldUpJohn my point is not how good each of those cards are but that there is literally no way to interact with their effect. While it makes plagues playable, it is very frustrating to play against it. Which is why they apparently nerfed Reno. Brann is straight up unfair, Odynn just rewards you for mindlessly bulking up, Kil'jaden is an abomination of a card as he not only removes fatigue for one player, the demons also scale infinitly just like Jade idols just in an even more dumber way. If they want these kind of effects in their game they should also either give us anything at all to combat it or straight up change those cards. Before Reno came out Sergares was the most frustrating card in the meta as the warlock just got free taunt minions every turn making it almost impossible for board based decks to win after he got played. Renos effect was healthy for the game as it allowed you to take the bullet, make your deck worse by playing Highlander and gaining the ability to shut down Sergares and Rheastrasza
Cards like Quasar should not be printed: If the options are 1) It is very broken and non-interactive - not a good card for the game. 2) Or it is unplayable and bad, in which case it is bad as well. Either you have a useless filler card or you print a problem card. That means no reason to print it.
I actually think the Scrounging Shipwright is a massive nerf. It was a good choice to hit with cubicle and I had a wild deck with a bunch of deathrattle synergies
After several matches of the flavorful Sargeras + Kil'Jaeden deck after the nerf, I'm having a blast. Might not be top tier, but damn is it fun and flavorful to blast demons left and right with warlock again.
i mean you can disenchant every nerfed card in this patch since they give you 100% dust back. Just type refund in the search tab in collection and the game shows you all nerfed cards and trash them out of existence. And you can craft them back later at any time if you feel so.
and yes you can safely disenchant Reno. I should also note if you disenchant a GOLDEN NERFED card, you get 200% dust of the cards' original value. This means if u have a golden Reno he gives 3200 dust back which is huge. Have fun!
I don't even care about Reno's board limit. The best feature of it was that it removed everything. Now it's straight up unplayable. Needs to be at least 8 mana again to see very little use, anything higher and it's gone forever.
seeing a lot of people complaining about the nerfs being too much and simultaneously seeing that people that say the nerfs aren't enough. Surely the people in these two camps should come to the synthesis that they both got what they wanted, right? Sure, Reno is worse, but it's not like the decks you were bad against got much better, now it's just time to adapt. I imagine this is along the lines of what the devs were thinking, but I do wonder if this will actually change the consensus people have about this meta, and the expansion by extension of that.
Nice. Just came back to the game, got the loaner deck for warrior to finally have Reno, and nerfed literally 2 days later to where I can't clear locations or limit 1 slot on their board. Screw this game again.
The conniving conman and the sea shill change, what does that actually do? Doesnt it basically do the same thing. Play the last card from a non-rogue class, and play the last card from another class sound like the same thing to me
For Paladin and Mage, it won't affect their class cards. It will only affect the Rogue cards they put into their deck via Tourist or any cards they randomly generate from other classes.
@tarille1043 ok but what does that change tho? If you burgle lets say a mage card in a game playing rogue. Wont conman just do the say thing? Like what actually has changed
They can’t be used in Mage and Paladin to spam/discount Tsunami and Amitus (like Zeddy mentioned) because those aren’t cards from other classes. Essentially: “another class” refers to classes other than the one you’re playing. The only way to change that mid-game is with hero cards from other classes (like the ones generated by Rogue’s tourist legendary).
Chalice was good burn/combo option for sif mage (yeah I know sif mage doesnt see too much play, im saying it from experience of using it) With that nerf this deck has less damage cards to kill your opponents with but I think it can be still usable as nice early minion removal Im bit sad about that nerf (fuck druid tax) but maybe I'll find my way to play it
I get they want to decrease the power level of everything to let other archetypes thrive, new ones included, and they are preemptively nerfing archetypes to compensate for the power vacuum being created, but for mystery egg I think its very slow at 4 mana as is. So this nerf seems really harsh to me. But maybe with everything else nerfed, it won't be so bad. But I think egg is dead as my gut reaction.

Goodbye reno, you made highlander fun again, and now in good fashion, you got murdered
It's making me angry they not nerfed saurun broken frustrating otk and they just killed Reno what about stupid elemental mage otk lamp lighter isn't important
Fun again? hahahahaha
@@supremazach I'm pretty sure it's undeniable that people playing highlander reno were having fun
@@Armaniran193 Yeah they pretty much just want Reno to disappear entirely
@@supremazach fun to play with not against
Okay i know that hearthstone needed to reduce the powerlevel of cards but this feels like early hearthstone nerf design. As in butchering the card. The goal was to weaken it to be in line with tgdb not make them nearly unplayable.😅 Well at least some still survived I think
Man they really killed Lamplighter.. I just started playing Elemental Shaman xD
The problem is cards that put 3 to 5 creatures on the board at once. None of those cards were nerfed.
I see Seabreeze Chalice as a buff. Finally will I stop worrying that it hits face instead of killing that 1 health minion.
Can we just point out how crazy it is that Zeddy has 4000 wins in 2 years. That's pretty much 10 wins with the class every single day.
So considering this last nerf to Reno what is the point then to Reno decks when the payoff isn’t worth it? Also do we get dust refunds for other highlander cards?
Wow, i actually didn't think they have the balls to actually murder lamplighter
I don’t even play hearthstone anymore. But Reno leaving your opponent with no minions and 1 board slot sounds just straight up unfair.
Reska is still going to be a problem. DK’s can still get this to 0 mana and discover multiple copies in a game.
What is the diff bet non rogue cards and other classes?
It sucks that they keep not doing choose one cards, makes Runes seem like a working mechanic
I wanted them to drop the Refresh and give us Choose One, Choose One, Choose One so we can actually use the Choose One synergy in standard
The exodar is now the same cost as Tess for rouge so robocaller draw is a bit worse for me with no 8 cost draw option.
Zeddy, there's nothing in the description where the patch notes links should be, we need a dust refund for this bug.
If they were going to do this to Reno then why not put him back to eight mana??? Unbelievably foolish choice to gut him in this way AND leave him at ten mana, ugh.
No it's not foolish
15:20 yes, you can...with Polkelt...4 times stronger than Shirvala bloodtrail
No patch notes in description
LOL at the displacer
That did nothing for the card, they just want to say "hey I buffed it, what do you want from me?"
If Reno is that frustrating to play against they should also rework every single "For the rest of the game" card aswell at this point, Brann, Odyn, Helya, Kil'jaeden etc. and now that Reno is nerfed Sergares and Rheastrasza. These are frustratig cards with literall 0 counterplay except being lucky with a Dirty Rat.
the truth
None of them are nearly as frustrating as reno
Yeah. True. That fucking warlock card is so annoying, I swear.
Helya probably doesn't belong on the list and it's the only thing that makes plague decks remotely worth it otherwise mostly agree
Cards like Quasar should not be printed:
If the options are 1) It is very broken and non-interactive - not a good card for the game.
2) Or it is unplayable and bad, in which case it is bad as well.
Either you have a useless filler card or you print a problem card.
That means no reason to print it.
R I P pepsi paladin
I'm so glad they finally understood that they have to decrease the power level and to kill the complete broken shit that feels terrible to face !
I actually think the Scrounging Shipwright is a massive nerf. It was a good choice to hit with cubicle and I had a wild deck with a bunch of deathrattle synergies
Spicy. . .the spirit of Firebat is still alive. . . What is he up to in the world these days?
I just want zileax to get the Genn and Baku treatment and rotate early. I'm tired of zil every game.
Call this what it is: the best balance patch Hearthstone has ever released.
The Reno now gone. There is not way to remove the portal from Sargareas
After several matches of the flavorful Sargeras + Kil'Jaeden deck after the nerf, I'm having a blast.
Might not be top tier, but damn is it fun and flavorful to blast demons left and right with warlock again.
Purified dragon nest remains on board as well.
Curious to see what happens to Starships 🌸
Yayyy I can’t wait for the 30 minute games of “let’s get my armor over 100 with my starship piece” so funnnn.
I'm excited about chalice for mage, so often I need it to hit a minion and it goes face
So should we disenchant reno? Which cards are worth disenchant?
i mean you can disenchant every nerfed card in this patch since they give you 100% dust back.
Zeddy the new face of hearthstone after Rarran poster boy pissed them off
You forgot to put the link for the patch note
I would like to thank Reynad for these changes. I think The Bazaar got them nervous.
I love all changes. Will miss a little Reno effect of 1 minion, yes it was OP but was very climatic. But still prefer playable over climatic.
seeing a lot of people complaining about the nerfs being too much and simultaneously seeing that people that say the nerfs aren't enough.
Seabreeze chalice would have been better as "deal 1 damage to 2 random enemies" in my opinion
@@CovetedPeacock ohhhhhh ok i get it now
Paladins and mage tourists.
Zeddy Thanks so much for this update on all those cards
Looks like they forgot about Yogg as well… starships will still be stolen left and right and was a way bigger problem than Reno ever was
They should have made Reno 9 mana at least to compensate.
As the only Paladin Highlander player this Reno nerf is sad to see but understandable at best
Chalice was good burn/combo option for sif mage
(yeah I know sif mage doesnt see too much play, im saying it from experience of using it)
With that nerf this deck has less damage cards to kill your opponents with but I think it can be still usable as nice early minion removal
Im bit sad about that nerf (fuck druid tax) but maybe I'll find my way to play it
I get they want to decrease the power level of everything to let other archetypes thrive, new ones included, and they are preemptively nerfing archetypes to compensate for the power vacuum being created, but for mystery egg I think its very slow at 4 mana as is. So this nerf seems really harsh to me. But maybe with everything else nerfed, it won't be so bad. But I think egg is dead as my gut reaction.
