Ya I agree. The fact it removed locations and things like sargeras portal just seemed too powerful. Plus limiting the next turn to only 1 minion. I can't belive they didn't put it back down to 8 mana afer the nerf. It's pretty bad at 10 mana.

Better yet revert it to 5, make it reduce by 4 or 5, so I can play it with Vandaar in wild for a true big beast greed pile. This nerf is mostly for standard though, and my suggested change doesn't fix the "1 billion hollow hounds" deck there.

The deal 4 damage on turn 4 with Lamplighter wouldn've been 4 damage before the nerf too tho? Turn 1, 2, 3 and then you'd reach 4 damage once you play lamplighter on 4

for wild? He was strong enough to make the best decks want to transition into HL for sure, but I don't think you necessarily needed to make him stop being 8. Renathal was still 35 at the time and not really played so aggro decks still had a good window
Just today I've lost two "unloseable" games because of Prince Maladaar. The first time cheating out Yogg. The second was, get this, the now nerfed into oblivion Reno.
While I agree Egg was warping hunter a lot, it's another example of them blasting hunter out of wild with no compensation. What do we play now? Reno Hunter? I love the deck, but calling it "good" is a stretch now all the decks it taxed aren't super playable. Hunter aggro is dead, Big beast Greed piles are shit, spell/quest hunter are ass, Cleave/Knuckles are funny but not actually good, Shockspitter is still unreverted. Guess we just wait another two years to play the class again for a month before our Blizzard-mandated gutting.
The indirect nerfs for the Rogue Tourists feels like a huge fail by the dev team. In concept the whole point of playing Tourists is to use cards from another class. And Rogue has the burgle mechanic so it makes sense to give them cards to use from another class. But they really didn’t consider the ramifications of giving two other classes that power.
They're overtuned to account for jumping through a loop or carrying a restriction; namely, playing Thief spells in Rogue or limited to effecting the rogue cards in your Mage/Paladin deck. After the change they were just pure mana cheat with no restriction for those two. Clearly too powerful. They still fulfil the tourist idea of playing other classes' cards, they reduce your rogue cards in the other two. If anything they're more "on concept" now, not just "I will use this to repeat my mage spell in mage".
It doesn't matter. The card is a complete outlier, in both classes (priest moreso in wild) it needed a nerf. If you wanna ask "should they have compensated Priest for this?", you have a point; but killing Funnel cake needed to happen. Same as Mystery egg for hunter, I'm less bothered with the nerf, and more wondering where my compensation is for the only playable hunter deck in wild being wiped out.
@@Tk-nm7ph yeah I just really enjoyed playing OH priest for a while in standard and it was never that toxic imo, I never hated playing against it and it was the only my deck I found that made playing priest a little fun and not just braindead zarimi spam, I just can’t believe how there are no good substitutes for the cards they needed they just put that class into the ground, luckily I got my gold portrait pre hauler nerfs but sometimes I wanted to just play a flame of priest and it is just never possible so I found myself literally dusting my entire priest standard card collection today, hopefully in a week the standard meta will settle a bit and I can make a fun deck… hopefully 🤞 😅

Remove all the charge and DD damage and decide the game on the BOARD with summoning sickness so that each player can actually react with the opponeents plays ....you know PVP.
Askara could be 2 mana and spawn 3 copies of whatever draenei you play next and it would still utterly worthless. This entire set for Draenei is such an insulting way to treat not just any creature type but one of the most important and popular races in WoW.
It's a common thing for many new archetypes. They rarely add extra cards to new archetypes nowadays. Like remember jade cards? It never got any additions after initial release.
You can Play Aqua Archivist on 3, then get a free elemental on 4, then play Lamplighter. It includes the current turn. It's why on 8, 2 lamplighters is 17, not 16.
That Reno nerf is bullshit it was the only way to remove permanent things like Alex or Sargeras portal. Getting rid of the one way to counter these cards isn’t good unless they release anther card that can do the same.

I’m pretty happy with all of the changes, except the one to Malted Magma. I feel like it was a marginal call to nerf it, and it basically lost face dmg because Seabreeze Chalice needed to. A collateral damage nerf, but it makes the card a whole lot worse. Malted Magma isn’t a “generally solid” choice anymore. Now, it’s a niche spell, which ya better have a very good reason to run, cause it’s now less efficient than frickin Lightning Storm. 🤦♂ Only Asteroid Shaman will run Magma now, imo. Every other “Rainbow” list, (both Shaman and DK), will replace it. A real shame, as Magma WAS one of the only genuinely good “Drink” cards.
@@ДюсековИльяс Perhaps, but imo if you wanna play Dazzlers, you’re better off doing so with Rainbow DK. DK can easily cast Shadow, Blood, Nature, and/or Frost spells to juice up the Dazzlers… and without running any weak cards; like Malted Magma.

You can literally silence starship off cards prior to dormant. He wasn’t overpowered. Having a counter to permanent board states is necessary

Yeah 10 is the first time Reno has ever felt fair to play against, and even still he was a huge pain in the ass for certain decks
