- So I decided to buy Lilli a small go-cart, which then led to me buying a slightly larger go-cart for myself. Which then led to Mike and I racing around the yard, which then led to a conversation of 'I wonder if it could go up Hells Gate... So off we went one morning to go out on the Hells Revenge Trail to have some fun. I took the go-cart, Mike took his motorcycle, and Shawn took his buggy. We made it all the way out to Hells Gate unassisted. After more than a few attempts to climb it we finally decided to winch it up. It drove all the way out and back to the parking lot, so that was a win. Then later that day we got a call for a jeep out at the Escalator Obstacle that had lost its coil spring. So we went out and repaired him. Found more fun on the way out on the Staircase Obstacle, but made it out safely and had some fun doing it. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting us.

I guess it’s for the best that all my employers have been tight fisted and humorless, otherwise I wouldn’t have started my own business but there’s about twenty five years of work with no play that I will never get back. I’m always happy to see a good crew having fun while doing their jobs.
@@jessepitt I can appreciate that I started working at 7 planting gardens for mom n dad and grandma n grampa and from there into farm and herd work then I worked everyplace around for quite a while worked construction and went into the military and when I got home I was right back at it until my first wife died and my employers let me go then when I couldn't keep throwing money away on a license that's over regulated and then I switched it my old bosses wanted me to return to work but I already burned my wife and got a new job. And that's the condensed version. Lol

The big kids have the best toys!!!! Kids will be kids, and Rory's laugh just tops it off, lol
But Shawn's laugh is the best. It's been recorded and put in the Smithsonian Institution.

Rory needs to write a book on his trail fixes and offroad recovery techniques. The man's a wealth of knowledge.
Back in the day there was a book or two written on making trail.repairs on Jeeps that was awesome. I believe it was written by Granville King and/or Willie Worthy. The Aussie Outback bush mechanics could teach a fella a thing or two as well.
Or just document it on UA-cam...

Well THAT was totally unexpected! Glad you guys had so much fun together. I had fun just watching you. Rory...you are something else. Anyone else would have crashed that go-kart right away! Your intimate knowledge of the trails sure pays off. Stay safe out there.

Find a dirt bike with a bent up front end. The engine and transmission shouldn't be too hard to fit and you have ALL the power. (looks like a scooter engine/transmission)

This was so fun! I usually tune out of non-recovery based rock crawling (I've never been) but not this time! It was fun to see Rory apply his mind to the familiar obstacles with an inferior vehicle.

weird that people would be unsubscribing....for anyone interested in off-roading in Utah or recoveries it doesn't get any better than this. I like and watch several of the other "similar content" channels but this one truly is a step above all the others even if they have a million subscribers.
