Broken Gladiator On Pritchett Canyon

- We got a call one morning for a Jeep Gladiator that had broken the day before on Pritchett Canyon Trail. The people had stayed with the Jeep and their friends came out to get a Welder. The welder they thought they could get wasn't available so they called us. We took the buggy and Wile E in to weld them back together. We got there and twisted the brackets back into place and welded them up, added some gussets, and we were on our way. We decided to go back down the trail since it is the easiest and fastest way out. We spotted them in a couple spots and winched them were it was needed so we didn't add stress to an already damaged drive shaft. We got them down and back to town so the could make further repairs before driving home. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting us.

This is the only channel where I watch every video all the way through. Amazing problem solving, scenery, sense of humor, and no BS! Keep it up!!
Me too.
Between watching Rory and Ivan, I feel like I could fix anything if I put my mind to it and put in the work!
It’s not just your towing, but your driving, your repair work/welding/fabrication in the field all display your creative problem solving abilities are superior to most of the other channels I’ve been watching. Throw in your sense of humor. You and your team aren’t just good at what you do, but you obviously really enjoy what you’re doing. The bigger the challenge, the more you guys seem to enjoy it.
I totally agree!
🌵🌵💀💀👍👍🌵🌵
You forgot to compliment them on the size of their Schwartz. It's as big as mine.
You hit the Grenade on the Pin! I completely agree, but it seems whenever someone does it right, shows doing it right, or explains it right it's like Napalm to the morons out there and they just want to watch the world burn in ignorance.
@@nikonikorian6124 lol, huh?
I watch this channel, because Rory is just going to work and bringing us along. It’s not about making videos, but videoing what’s happening regardless .
Rory, you are one of the hardest working people on UA-cam! Don't ever stop. Mike and Shawn, you guys are awesome!
Rory your vids are the best!
Short intro's, fantastic scenery, hair raising recoveries, simple trail repairs, what more could we ask for.
You are living the dream, more than a few of us are living it though you.
You are an authentic stand up guy and that easily comes though.
Your crew is pretty awesome also!
No need to apologize, true fans are happy to put in a little effort to support you! Plus, some of us love the commentary, Rory! 2:28
I consider your videos a privilege to watch. I am an 81 year old gear head, to have you invite me to see the most beautiful country in the US, I wish to thank you and your wonderful team.
Rory, i know this youtube stuff is a pain in the ass. I see you worked at it and have largely overcome your 'reluctance'. I'm happy that it has opened up so many opportunities for you and the team. Keep up the good work. Your numbers will take care of themselves. Even so it doesn't hurt to prod people once in a while and your fans don't mind. To me you've come from being an also ran channel to being what you have always been that took a minute to recognize. A master of what you do . Your peers look up to you. Some even 'borrow
' your ideas. Keep being rory and having fun. Don't let the weight of that trophy affect you in the slightest. Now that you've developed a sense of online personna just be you along with your team. Many would love to be on your team. Even so, i think you would thrive like you always have if this opportunity were to go away with just not do many options...
Rory, sir, no problem. I absolutely watch all your videos. Love your content. Enjoy watching you, mike and sean on the trails and in the shop.
ditto
Ditto Rory $exploit$ UA-cam! Screw ‘em
Interrupt all you Rory. I watch every video and like them all. The content and fun between you and the guys is great.
Dudes and their 90k “overlanding” rigs always breaking down and gettin stuck just cracks me up
I'd love to have you narrate (after the fact) why you spot someone through a tough obstacle the way you do. I'm starting to learn the difference between "walking" and "crawling", but I see you moving people around where they can get traction with a front tire (like wedging the left front in a corner to go up that shelf), and guiding them to roll straight down a shelf so they don't "endo". It would be fun for those of us who watch but have never crawled. Thanks!
I agree
I agree
From the UK so we don't really have this stuff. Yes please!
The things that you, Rory, and your team do are impressive! Real skills displayed without ego or giant price tag builds.
I can’t imagine anyone being happier doing what they do for a living than Rory.
It is great to see an expert do their thing. The skills needed to do this are immense and you guys make it look easy.
COMMENT AS REQUESTED - I remember in the last millennium I was wheeling so hard that my average monthly repair bills were more than my loan payments. I'm now more of a overlander.
Rory, you run one hell of a repair and recovery service. Thanks for what you do for the people.
I love watching, liking, subscribing and commenting. Thanks for taking us along so that I can keep doing all of those things. :D
"When you wheel the hard trails, stuff always breaks."
*Wheels hard trails everyday, does fixes, then rescues said broken rigs from said hard trail*
Really shows how in tune with the work Rory's got that rig; not to mention maintaining it when it's due.
I'm amazed he runs stock dana 60 shaft with the crap he does. But he's said before he purposely under gears the rig so it stalls before it snaps everything. 😅
Nothing like a TrailMater adventure on a Tuesday afternoon
Dang straight !
it doesn't matter if trailmater down or not he can still dish it out better, strongly & fasting get well trailmater we missed you Thank Jeff
No one better at picking lines than Rory. I can’t imagine anyone unsubscribing themselves intentionally. Several other channels are having the same issue. YT is up to something.
As long as you keep making videos, I'll keep watching. I continue to love seeing what you all do with these vehicles.
Ditto
Rory, what you do is beyond amazing! You have the best channel on UA-cam! Thank you for letting us experience what you do every week.
Those of us who survived Covid are catching up on home jobs, gardens, lawns, repairs etc.
A lot of good drivers out there today. Good equipment too.
A lot of people quit watching due the comments being crammed to the Side Bar. That has been rectified. If it's working leave it alone!
A drop in viewership may be somewhat seasonal as winter fades and more people are outside away from the computer screen.
Never grow tired of watching your trail fixes. I always wonder if those people have the parts replaced or just brag that they have “genuine TrailMater parts” on their rig.
I just said the other day in the comments that I cannot believe that Rory isn't at a million subs. In terms of content and insane recoveries there is no one else on you tube that can even come close to this channel.
I've been watching rory since he posted his first few videos and did most of the filming himself . from that first video to this one, I'm still amazed by his wheeling skills and where he can drive and make it look effortless.
"When you wheel the hard trails, stuff always breaks." .. says the guy who drives these trails almost daily, dragging broken carcasses back out, and almost never breaks down on the trail.
Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦
I'd like to second that "Good Save" that Shawn gave you Rory, it was a close call between a save and a fall.
I drove tow trucks for 30 years and have done all kinds of recoverys, but you are the king of recovery and off road genus. Keep up the great work. Leonard sweatt
You do not have to apologize to true fans . Keep up the good work.
Thanks from England + I once a very large sticker that said 'We interrupt this marriage to give you the racing season' or something like that.
IT’s Aussie Rob here we had about 6 ppl watching you , Matt, Paul and Robbie that’s now got up to 15 every week, you’re so popular and amazing at your job.😅
I love your realness. I appreciate that you are yourself, rather than trying to be whatever brings the most drama.
This channel is real and very entertaining. It is also somewhat formative because it gives a sincere point of view on how to act in the face of difficulties and breakdowns. One of the best channels that can be seen on youtube. THANK YOU FOR YOUR DEDICATION AND WORK
Remind us anytime Rory. Your teams skills at remote recovery and repair are amazing.
I perform these kind of duties for the agricultural community in the Applegate Valley of southern Oregon and consider your channel as EDUCATIONAL.
Keep at it, and Thank You All.
New venture opportunity: guide spotting service through the tough stuff. Your knowledge, experience and skill put you at the top of the heap. I’d buy a trail ride w Rory.
Never ceases to amaze me what kinds of terrain you guys can tackle. I figure my 1 ton 4x4 truck would get stuck in the parking lot.
Of Walmart.
As requested a comment this time from the UK, you guys are doing a brilliant job entertaining us all on UA-cam always down to earth and interesting. One of the best assets you all have is that you take everything in your stride, well done guys and keep up the great work 👍😎
Hi Rory, greetings from New Zealand, I love your relaxed format with "no in your face over dramatising crap" always hit like even before I watch! appreciate how hard it is to weld while on the trail, being an engineer.
Rory’s trail repair video’s always make me happy to be a leaf-sprung peasant. Those brackets for multi link suspension just always seem to fatigue and break.
We appreciate you not asking for likes and subscribes on every video. I can't imagine not noticing getting at least a weekly dose of Trailmater crew shenanigans!
Agree. And then for the first time ever I check my subscription after the request and I'm not subscribed... What's up with that...
Some of your recovery's are insane and the trail side fabrication is something else entirely! You guys are lots of fun to watch!
We love watching your entire crew! Keep up on the videos. Also we watch Matt, Paul, Robby, and Chad. Enjoy you guys jabbing each other. Don’t stop doing that.
I agree with 81 year old Don. It's a privilege to watch you guys. Keep it up. Thanks
Best recovery show on you tube. By far!!!
I make time during breaks to watch all your uploads. They're usually the perfect length for a twenty minute break. Love your expertise and attitude. Keep em comin!
You Paul an Merlin are my favorite channels. Good dudes doing what they do best . Thanks for sharing your experience’s .
The slightest unnecessary dig turn at 6:40 - love it
I try to comment, and i always watch and like. Love Rory's crazy ideas, mikes great attitude, and shawns easy going teamwork that pulls these off time after time.
I don't know how youtube operates but you guys are doing great. Always good to watch a trail repair and some wheeling in Pritchett Canyon. Thanks for sharing.
Amazing how you always get them fixed and out. Everything you do is about spot on. Experience does pay off !!
Watch every one of these video's you guys do, hope the UA-cam algorithm starts treating you better! Love you and your crew's attitude, always humble and can do. Thanks again!
I’ve always said this channel should have a MINIMUM 80% like to view ratio. Never understood why people won’t take half a second to hit that button.
Me neither. It's easy and costs nothing!
You are The number 1 off road recovery for me . Watch and enjoy the others but love your show 😊
I don't watch the others.
no question this is the truth
True. Small improvements can always be made, but the general direction of the channel needs no adjustments, just like trail mater.
Rory makes it look so easy that MORR on Matt thinks he can do it. 🤣😅😂
@@theuglytruth8162 I've said this on matts channel and he hearted it i think Rory makes it look fun
I enjoy your videos for sure Sir ! They way you navigate those trails like some of them don't even exist is simply Amazing !
And the area that you get to work/play in is simply beautiful. Sean, Mike, and Yourself should be proud of that part I think !
And talking about Pride, Rory you yourself should be very proud of yourselves as a team ! Your on the trail repair is unbelievable, as well as the recoveries you do with any vehicle you set out to fetch !
I say a BIG BIG THANK YOU To All Three of You for Sharing Your Wonderful Talents and Adventures with Everyone ! ✌️❤️🙏
Absolutely love the channel and whatever you do, I'll keep watching. My two cents about keeping/growing viewers: the recoveries are fun to watch but after a while, they might become as predictable for us to watch as they are for you to do. You want to grow the channel . . . do more builds and/or show us working on your rigs. I might pass over yet another recovery but I promise you; I never miss a video of you guys working on a project, especially if you're building a new rig.
Always happy to see another Trail Mater video! Just got off work and now it’s time to crack a cold one and watch a another great video!
Why do I hit the like button every time? Because I LIKE the videos! A tiny bit of effort on our part helps our favorite channel a lot.
Rory is the master trail driver and spotter for others not to say master trail repairs and recover 😀
Happy to provide a comment, as I fear one day I will need your services while in the Moab Backcountry. Amazing work out there!
the fabrication is out of this world and its hard to believe thats a trail pretty wicked i think rory could guide a mtn goat through that trail awsome views and awsome job
I always take the time to comment. I enjoy all of your videos & I can't wait to see you reach a million subscribers. Thanks again for putting in the extra work to bring us along for the ride. We appreciate you & the "extra miles" you go so we can all play hard on the trails 😊✌
Thank you Sir again for your time after work. Truly a honor. I came for my Dirtbilly Deluxe hat. and got the last one.....
Dude !!! Seriously - You and your crew Sean and Mike are the best, I never miss an episode!
Your attention to problem solving on the fly is second to none. But hear this !!! You are true to your brand of video - NEVER CHANGE! We are not interested in flash video cartoon inserts and comedic attempt at corny humor, not going to mention names - they are good but they are corny cartoon, only thing missing in their video is a laugh track. You guys are having fun at what you do and your humor is natural ... real. Don't ever change - stay true as you already are.
I watch them all, some of them 2x. You guys know your stuff. Thanks for filming them. Keep up the great work and filming.
Love the videos. You guys would be a blast to hangout with on a trail
We're still watching, keep up the good work and great content. Thanks for the entertainment.
Rory a day without you is a bad day I always look for anything with you and the crew. keep on plugging and we will keep on watching.
Show the buggy some love bro, nicely done, those off roads welds get put to the test and wow is the word on their outcome.
Mater gets the attention but he runs the jk and buggy HARD! 😂
Hot diggity damn it’s the Trail Mater Crew! Appreciate you all filming your shenanigans !! I enjoy them myself very much. Take care and stay safe.
After the repair you gave them lots of local knowledge on the obstacles.
I never comment. But I’m now going to start in an effort to help out this awesome channel... Love that these guys have stayed true and haven’t become some gross “UA-camr” types.
Who’s with me (in a loud war cry voice)? Keep on keeping on Rory. You rock.
Another great video. That has got to be the most beautiful and challenging place to test man and machine. Before I started watching these videos I would never have believed anything with wheels could travel these places. You are certainly a big asset for those doing it with your talents for both repairing, spotting and towing the broken ones out of there.
Subscribed again. And again. And keep turning on all notifications. Liked and commented here. Now back to more trail stuff with Rory, Mike and Shawn! With adventure around every turn driving their arsenal of mobile shops on wheels.
I haven't missed a video and haven't been disappointed yet. Rory is the GOAT. Dirtbilly Deluxe is also a "never miss" show.
Don't sweat the UA-cam stats Rory. Quality unscripted content will always win over time.
I really enjoy watching your videos! We visited out in MOAB a few years ago and went on a tour through some of these trails. It is a joy to see how well you know the obstacles and how expertly you traverse them.
The down spike is probably due to spring and summer and people are getting outdoors and doing more stuff and camping! I hope it picks back up soon! You deserve it!!! Show the building you do on your rigs and especially the rebuild of the buggy!!! That would be awesome content!!! Thanks for sharing your story with us Rory!!! True Loyal Fans Will Be Here For You!!!
This is my #1 one off rad channel like the down to earth knowledge and talk about how and why better than the yellow crew.
Between Rory and the TrailMater crew, FabRats and Matt you have Utah all free and wheeling!. Thank you!.
I watch a lot of your stuff on the tv, so I’ll do better to remember to comment and like on the phone after watching. Y’all are a bunch of awesome folks and I appreciate the effort that you put in to show what you do. You make an extremely tough job look so easy when we know better. Be safe and thanks for what you do!
I have been recovering from back fusion (one helluva lift and suspension upgrade 🤣). Really enjoy the work you guys do and has made recovery a lot more bareable
Rory Sean and Mike plus Lil Lily are the best. Keep posting great content fellas.
Rory , you're a ROCK STAR , ya know - the good kind !
Hey guys, love your work. The down to earth get what you get attitude is refreshing in this day and age. NOW, IF I MAY. I have been going to suggest this for a couple of weeks now, but your spool during the video about falling numbers has spurred me into offering my 20c worth. The recoveries are great, but not the whole answer, let me explain. I loved watching the MORR wrecker and the rat rod wrecker being built, I've loved the builds and mods you guys have done. For me personally, I love all the builds, mods and solutions. You have Robbie Layton's old wrecker to build, now that's something I would love to see come together. Please give us more builds. The explanations and solutions are fantastic. When you built the 'blue' wrecker was great, the stories of trail mater are the real gems. You can only watch so many recoveries before wanting a bit more. Please take no offense, love you style
You guys are doing a great job on the videos. Yours are honest real time stuff with the good, the mistakes and your honesty. So well worth it. No BS on your stuff and that is refreshing. SSG.Bo.Retired.
Great job Rory
That gladiator did look really heavy 🤙🤙🤙🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I’m watching, every down load. Because I like it
You guys are the best. I think to try to stress your equipment and what breaks, you build back better. Great recovery.
Great job crew. I watch just about every video
I’m still watching. Your videos get better and better overtime.
Love watching the rawness and sounds of the crawling. Up in the Northern part of the state but love the south too. Thanks all.
Rory has the uncanny ability to make moves that seem impossible
I just checked, I'm still subbed. I watch all your videos, however I don't always comment. I think you put out some of the best content on UA-cam, every video I'm more and more impressed with your driving skill, the capability of Mater, and your recovery knowledge.
I'm pretty sure that by now Mike has walked up and down every obstacle in Moab...backward. All in the name of getting the good camera shots. That some mad skills right there, lol.
Thanks for sharing your day to day, "bloopers" and all. It is amazing to watch the minds of you and your team work as you tackle the obstacles of each day. It was a pleasure meeting You, Mike, and Shawn at the Wrecker Games. I hope to catch y'all around Moab.
Love your channel. Your repair skills and spotting skills are unparalleled. Keep up the videoing and I’ll keep up the watching.
I will continue watching all of your videos. Your driving skills are top notch. Your knowledge of the Moab area is better than anyone else, no doubt. Mike and Sean are a great team, the 3 of you obviously love what you do, which is the best part of the videos. Keep having fun and I will keep watching!
We love watching you guys. ❤❤❤. Don’t ever feel bad about asking us to like and subscribe to your channel but most of us do.
I enjoy driving through Moab and seeing the vehicles out in front of the shop when I haul loads through Moab.
