I love how everyone is saying how Hannah should have taken him to the ER and its her responsibility, but...Shane is an ADULT and he makes his own decisions If he doesnt want to go to the hospital, she cant make him
You have never been in a long term relationship have you? "He makes his own decisions" you would never say that if you had been. Aside from the rational aspect a marriage license in fact does grant legal responsibility. That legal aspect is why the LGBT community fought like heII to have that privilege.
@@67vette52 to a certain point, yes, but this is an altogether different situation. Lgbtq population aren't asking to be able to control their spouse. If Hannah forced him to go to the hospital against his will then she'll be no better than a parent.

As a nurse, I have been on floor work in a hospital for 30 years. As we age and the “severity” of the flu, cold, surgery, whatever aliment we get, sometimes takes us time to recover. I think Shane’s flu was severe enough to cause some dehydration and that in itself will cause weakness. Double up on your fluids and electrolytes the next few days and help your body continue to recover.
When your body is working HARD to repair, recover & heal itself...its tired... & fatigue can/will set it. Hydration & proper sleep/rest goes A LONG way to help the body along the healing process.
Wow! No one likes having to go to the hospital but sometimes it’s just necessary! People become dehydrated very quickly that is dangerous! Glad to see your feeling Better 🙏🏻✨
@@lolalyle6660 The troll saying that they were getting divorced could likely be the same one saying that they weren't married in the first place. Lol!!
And it's also very expensive! Insurance only covers so much, and so much just in one year, if you go over that claim limit, you're pretty much screwed.

What a relief to know that Shane is better. So scary not being able to drink or eat! That's what happens to a lot of elderly people. They get to the point where they can no longer swallow (as with Parkinson's patients, etc) which is the beginning o the end in so many cases. Stay well you two. Happy new year! ♥
I suspect Shane hasn't been able to swallow properly for quite a while now - he probably has a PEG tube fitted in his stomach. You can tell from his voice, which often sounds like he has an accumulation of saliva at the back of his throat, that he doesn't have a strong and safe swallow.
I would have been so scared and of course the first thing I would have done would be to take Shane to the emergency room. Especially since it was lingering for a while. It is concerning that you guys didn't reach out to a medical professional :( If that happens again, please get medical help. I am glad you are feeling better.
It sounds like he was too weak to get help or to take himself to the doctors. At that point, his wife or mother-in-law really should have sought help for him. Not being able to swallow or even drink from a straw is a medical emergency when it is a new symptom. The ball was really dropped here.
Okay but if they live in America, completely understand why lol. I'm sure his normal medical appointments and medications are already very costly, even with insurance. Insurance also only has a certain amount for a whole calendar year, so if that amount was already used up, you're going to be stuck paying the office visit, medications prescribed and used during care, equipment used, and everything else during that doctor visit, which, is enormously ridiculous. If they thought that his symptoms weren't serious, and they ended up not being serious, there's a lot of money down the drain. Yes, he has a disease that requires them to be vigilant, and I am sure that they are, however, money could be very tight, and you do not know if any other factors determined their decision to not reach out for help. Quit judging people, as if you're some superior human, or that you have a doctoral degree.

How very scary for you guys. This, among other neuromuscular diseases are so difficult to deal with. I’m not going to patronize you with words. Your ability to honestly share these episodes with us is inspiring. In 1987, I was teaching special needs kids. Brad was 8 years old when he came to my class. He had a severe form of Duchenne disease. He went from walking to being in a wheelchair that year. He was angry and frustrated, He cursed like a sailor when he would fall or whenever. His parents were very young and did not know how to cope with his illness and behavior issues. I will never forget him and how hard he tried. He wanted to do the things that other kids could do. He was very brave. But very angry. Who could blame him? I think of him often. If only our government would make neurological illnesses a priority in research for children, we might have cures for them. Shane, you are candid, funny and just plain awesome. I’m glad your better. Prayers for both of you!

Love your humour and the important work you both do.❤️ Cannot afford to be a patron at the moment but hope to when my circumstances allow. Love to you both always xx
Same with me here in central Illinois, had me wondering 💭
Good news Shane! Glad to hear you’re feeling better! Are you still drinking your shakes? They would help to put some weight back and for strength 💪
I’m really glad you are ok! I have a serious spinal cord injury and I’ve been at abbot and the University of Minnesota. I finally transferred to the Mayo Clinic. I am super happy with their care! They are doing a great job going above and beyond helping me.
Wow, whatever you picked up in CA really did a number on your body. It’s so good to see you upright, and smiling again! Prayers going up for a safe and stress free New Year! Blessings to you all!
I am so glad to see you Shane! I have been watching for a new video after your last one. We were all worried about you!!!
Glad you doing better! 😊
It’s a Christmas miracle! 😉🥰
Glad you’re back to normal Shane. Happy new year to you both.
So glad to hear Shane is feeling better! I never comment but I love what you do with your channel. I hope that 2022 is your best year yet!!
Oh I’m so happy that it only was a temporary bug! Have checked for you guys everyday. Happy holidays 🤗❤️
Glad you are better Shane!! It is obvious that you two love each other. Happy 2022
So happy everyone is well now. How scary. Stay well and safe! Enjoy your New Year Guys!!! ❤❤🙏🎉✨
Basic hydration is incredibly powerful❣️❣️ -even 2%l dehydration is VERY DETRAMENTAL❣️❣️
I’m not thanking “lucky stars! I am praising God who created each of us ❤️🙌🏼❤️
I love you Hannah and Shane❣️ It was precious to watch Hannah’s expressions!
You guys inspire me so much. Your love for each other is amazing. I hope you both have a wonderful long life together. Thank you for sharing your life.
Shane, how terrifying. I have Secondary Progressive MS so I do have an idea of how you were feeling and my heart is with you both. So glad you’re back.
Also, puppy! ❤️❤️❤️
Omg!! How scary you guys!! Did you ever consult your physician about this? If it were me, I would have to know what the heck it could've been, just in case it happens again. So relieved your better! Hannah, even though your a glass half full gal, I know you had to be freaking out inside. Prayers that that never happens again
What a relief to know that Shane is better. So scary not being able to drink or eat! That's what happens to a lot of elderly people. They get to the point where they can no longer swallow (as with Parkinson's patients, etc) which is the beginning o the end in so many cases. Stay well you two. Happy new year! ♥
Its good to say that. I can't imagine having that nora virus and I'm pretty healthy.
Yes my mom had Alzheimer’s and forgot how to swallow. It’s so very hard to watch them pass that way!
@@readycool9600 that's what happened to my mom too. She had dementia. First she stopped eating and then wouldn't drink anything.
Why would you say this smh people don't care about how that makes Shane feel after reading this
I suspect Shane hasn't been able to swallow properly for quite a while now - he probably has a PEG tube fitted in his stomach. You can tell from his voice, which often sounds like he has an accumulation of saliva at the back of his throat, that he doesn't have a strong and safe swallow.
So glad you recovered. That had to be so scary. I love when Hanna was talking about the state, Shane’s yep that was fun, anyway….
I would have been so scared and of course the first thing I would have done would be to take Shane to the emergency room. Especially since it was lingering for a while. I am so glad Shane that you are back to your old self! But I would definitely call or go to the doctor just for some tests and blood work and maybe the doctor could let you know what it might have been and you want to make sure it's not something that will return. You should go get it checked out! Have a happy healthy New Year and sending lots of love hugs blessings and prayers
That is scary to go through for sure...The illness wipes you out....Glad you are doing so much better ❤️💜
Yes! I was getting so worried!! So glad youre doing better Shane!
I am happy that passed! That’s terrible that you went through! I want to wish you two Happy New Year!
Almost sounds like food poisoning. If you consumed some sort of toxin, it could cause weakness like that, but usually those symptoms pass after 24 hours or so. Happy to hear you're feeling better!
Norovirus I bet. Shane sould of visited the ER. Nothing to play with.
Maybe shell fish? They were in California and he very well could have eaten something that wasn’t good
A doctor should look at him post haste. Doesn’t sound like norovirus. Worrying.
@@judyivie4181 norovirus is extremely extremely contagious. If it was noro, they were in a hotel room together and probably had to be quite involved with Shane while he was ill.. there is no way they wouldn’t have caught it. I think something else was going ob
The fact he has not been hospitalized the whole time he's been with you- MEANS YOU REALLY LOVE AND CARE ABOUT HIM AND HIS WELL BEING!! (I know some ppl are not kind to you guys and seeing the beauty of how LOVE TRANSCENDS ANYTHING!) love isn't easy all the time but u can't help who ur heart wants. Thank God he's ok. I know if anything happened to him, you would be a wreck. And ur amazing -both of you. And u will dance into the sunsets each night in heaven into the next life. Ur typa love will never die.. it will be reborn and u will find eachother again after this life ends. (Hopefully not for a long time 😀 )
Wow you really said a mouthful! Though I' am not sure at the kindness you meant or your confused that people with a disability can find love. And what type of love they have? And they will come back! Wow sounds like shakespeare
@@whatmyohmy Right?! Lol the "you can't help who your heart wants" is so cringe. He is disabled, not a criminal.
It has the "burden" vibe between the lines oof
@@sabserab Thank God someone else can see what I see! Too many times people don't get it. What the heck is wrong with people? This is a wonderful couple and you can see the love they have for each other. It's not something that some can open their mouth and say why the heck? I'd say back why the heck not!
I’ve been wondering!!! That sounds sooo scary. You’re a good team. Very proud of you both. ❤️
oh noooo sorry : ( you two are so refreshing thank you for sharing your lives with us, social media is so bombarded with people trying to pretend their lives are perfect and spotless so thanks for your realness : )
Glad to hear you’re doing better Shane! Did you get checked out by your Dr. just to see if they can figure out if something triggered that episode. ❤️
So glad you’re feeling better. What a blessing.
I’m so glad to hear about your improvement, Shane. Happy New Year!
It is concerning that you guys didn't reach out to a medical professional :( If that happens again, please get medical help. I am glad you are feeling better.
I don't understand how or why!
OH Really dl m? 🤣
That would be the worst thing for them to do!
We have been so concerned, you were gone for so long. So good to see you both again❣️
Never doubt that you are loved.
That had to be so frightening!!! You two have a lot of people praying for you - I am glad you got your strength back Shane! Take care and Happy New Year!! 💕🙏😊
Glad to hear you’re feeling better. I hope you had a nice Christmas
Glad you are doing better. I did notice you hadn't posted in a bit but I just thought, "oh how nice they are keeping Christmas week for themselves".
Nice to see you back. I've missed you both.
I can't even with some of these comments lol. I am so glad that you are OK. Happy New Year!! Wishing you happiness, health, & lots of love in the Year to come!
I know. Some of these comments are so rude!!!
Awwww Shane, sorry to hear you have had a ruff few days, I am so glad that Hannah is so supportive to you mate... Feel well regards Richard Uk
So so happy to here that Shane is ok. I’ve been watching and waiting for an update just getting more and more concerned. You two have a very relaxing and happy new year!! ❤️🎉🎊
Sounds really scary! Did you contact your doctor on how to deal with it and perhaps ways it could be avoided in the future? SO glad you recovered!
So glad you are feeling so much better and hope you enjoyed your Christmas holiday after the scare. All the best in 2022! ❤️🇨🇦
Finally a update! Thought you were dead! Glad to hear you’re ok
Hello, guys! Thank God Shane is better! 🙏🏼🙌🏼 Are you planning to see a doctor about that episode? I hope so and I also hope everything is fine! ♥️
These trolls keep doing this - they cannot accept your happiness 😤 Glad you are feeling better Shane 💙 Stomach issues always are the worst for me too... super weak and listless. (hypoglycemic)
I actually had a brief conversation with one in the comment section a while back and just as I figured, the origin of their trolling is their own disappointment over how their own life is going. It's sad.
Trolls have nothing in their life. They are miserable and making someone else miserable is how they get their jollies!
You are an inspiration and encourement to so many i love your humour and it is very obviousyou both love each other very much❤❤
So happy for update from you both and to hear you are feeling much better Shane. 🥰
We are so very relieved you are okay, Shane! Prayers to you always. Love watching your show, and your wit and wisdom! You two are so positive and sweet. All the best to you in 2022!!🍾🙏🍾
Sounds like a tough period and over Christmas. I'm happy that you're doing better Shane and Hannah is still alive (I'm sure he's also exhausted). Happy New Year to you both!
I'm so happy you're better, Shane.
May the two of you have a wonderful and blessed New Year.
Merry Christmas you guys 🎄 so happy to hear your feeling better Shane!
I was so excited to see you had made a video. I had been telling my husband that I was worried about Hannah and Shane. He was like who is that? I am all like my friends 💛🤗 I am happy you are doing better Shane! I am looking forward to your videos! Sending lots of love! 😊😊😊😊
My prayers are with you both. Happy New Year to you.
I’m so sorry you had to endure that, Shane. Very glad you got your strength back. Wishing you both good health and happiness in 2022!
people can be so dumb, you two are like the most stable couple lol. glad Shane is hanging in there!
I am a mom of three adult children all with Muscular Dystrophy, but my oldest, my son passed away in August. I love watching your vlogs, I wish my son could have experienced a few of the many things you have been able to do. It was not in the cards for hi, but he didn’t let his disability dampen his love of life! He always had a big smile, infectious laugh and a heart of gold! This holiday season has been really tough, but your vlogs have been a nice distraction, thank you! Wishing you good health and happiness in 2022! 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
I'm so sorry for the loss of your son
So glad you’re feeling better Shane! It was a Christmas miracle 😂
Prayers for your continued recovery, Shane. Good job taking care of our dear Shane, Hannah. I wish you both a happy, healthy New Year.
You are a lovely couple, I wish you all the luck in the world xx
I just want you to know that I’m here for you both. You both are an inspiration to me and I’ll do anything I can to make your day better :-)
You are a miracle man and an inspiration.
Shane keep fighting everyone of our SMA warriors are miracles as you know 💞🙏🕊. Stay strong stay safe you 2. Much love prayers, strength, and healing. Haylee is battling a gtube resight surgery that caused her low blood levels, iron and also she ended up with a large blister on her leg that just wont heal😩😞... 2ed dose of meds to start tomorrow as she is lookong like cellulitis may be starting. Hard time of year in our community plus covid hasn't been easy for our community. Blessings to you all stay safe healthy and positive xo🙏xo
I can relate to Shane. I exaggerate when I don't feel good! "I'm dying" is a frequent phrase in my don't feel good vocabulary lol.
I can relate as well 😂 I can be quite dramatic sometimes, not to get sympathy (I hate getting attention). Like with my ankle sprain I got a few weeks ago, I started with 'ohhh noooo its ok don't worry', when it got worse about an hour later I was like "lights camera action!" drama LOL
I was truly worrie about you both ...so happy Yahooo you live !!!
Don't divorce! lol what a bunch of jerks for posting crap ! Love , Mary
It's different with Shane though. He has a health condition already so not being able to swallow is bad news. He could have been dying. It doesn't take long to die of dehydration. Hannah was giving him liquid through a straw! That is some serious stuff.
Thank God you are better Shane! Only from the grace of God!! Prayers going up for you guys!🙏🏽❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
