The Eldred is a special place. Famous for its big wall climbing, my brother and I went there for a different purpose: to packraft the river. The Eldred river is some of the most beautiful water I've ever experienced; there's giant boulders, clear, emerald green water, granite slabs, sandy spots, fun rapids, juicy salmon berries. Oh and Nina loved it too. Thanks for watching!

120 years ago millions of salmon would have spawned up this little river. Before the built the damn dam on the Powell River this , and associated watersheds had one of the largest salmon runs on the coast. The river looks like a perfect spawning channel.
I have the same stikine packraft. Great designed Canadian made raft!
Yeah definitely, my brother loves it!
My favourite shot was the burp
Wicked!!! should of camped for a few nights on the river.
Beautiful video Luke and Nina.!:)
that scenery makes me miss the NW a lot. great adventure as always Luke!
Great river run Luke. Beautiful scenery too!
Great video with some very beautiful shots. The drone work was very impressive. I hope it didn’t take too much damage when it went in the river.
Looks like a grand old time! When I was a teenager I canoed down the Hay River in the NWT and it was so cool going through the canyons. You kind of get a small sliver of what the early explorers like David Thompson and Alexander Mackenzie experienced while charting territory in the New World. I imagine canoeing through the mountains like that is even more majestic. 👌🏼
Nice 1 bros - shout out to Kent
Wonderful ! You are a great story teller and photographer. Thanks for sharing the beauty. 🌲🤙
Love this area! Further up from the camp the river narrows and is also very stunning. The outhouse situation by the camp is one of the most beautifully crafted that I’ve ever seen, almost a destination in itself!
Awesome once again!

Wow, the video is so awesome so I watched it twice...
yo, you were somehow removed from my feeds for so long, glad i found you again!!!!!!
Thanks man, I'm glad you re-discovered my videos as the algorithm seems to have hidden what I post
Very cool! Third descent though, a few locals have sent it in pack rafts!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I want to be reincarnated as your dog. Another great vid, Luke and Nina.
Haha, thanks Keith, she does live about as good a life as one can hope for!
My drone went into the river on this one
ouch!
F to pay respect
You're not alone. I lost my mini 3 pro a week and half ago. Bushwacked to a gravel bar that looked good to work from, hit a twig almost immediately. I shared your video to "close friends" because it's by far the best video I've seen of the valley in general, (aside from those focused on climbing) and I want them to have some vague idea why I go there.
Beautiful work! I love your introductory video of the approach along Goat Lake. Best I've seen.
@@billjaxin Thanks Bill, I appreciate that!
nice job, whereabouts did you put-in and what class would you say it all is? Could you go higher and find steeper stuff too? Anything you had to portage?
Difficult to say where we put in because it was just thrashin' around in the woods looking for relatively easy access below the steeper, more constricted, boulder-filled sections of the river. There definitely is steeper and more technical whitewater above where we started. The only stuff we portaged was a couple spots with logs lying across the river. The lower bit we did I would say is class II, but I'm not the best at estimating grades.
No helmet; not smart!
Wait until you see my other packrafting videos
