Did you get out to shoot some fall colors this year? If so where did you go, or where would you like to go next year? As always I really appreciate you watching the video!
I live in the north east where our fall foliage is legendary. I started a little early in the season in the Adirondacks. If you can make it out here for the fall foliage, which is usually October, you will not be disappointed. If you love fall colors and waterfalls, Central NY is the place for you!
You gotta come to Canada. Some of the most beautiful fall colors in the world! I went to Muskoka, ON. this year and a couple of years back I visited northern Quebec. Mont Tremblant is stunning!
i live in sheffield united kingdom and the fall colors here are just amazing.and we had few foggy days which was a bliss to shoot with the fall colours in the mix.beautiful work well done
Yep, like every year a week spent in the Dolomites :)
Always. Fall colors are a highlight of my year in Kansas.
Man, that last image with the numerous distinct color bands just screams. Beautiful job.
Thanks so much Robert!
It's a comprehensive celebration of colours.
My favorite part is at 7:07 when you smile back on the camera as it was your best friend photographing with you.
It was you guys! :)
We all smiled back 🙂
I did too ! Lol
Great shots. Desperately counting the days when traveling will be considered a normal and safe activity. Thanks, Stefano
Perfect example of never stop experimenting - love the images.
I love hearing your thought process! Now I want to go there next fall!
Well done. Love to see how this came out so beautiful.
Like always, when watching your videos, I long to go out and hike, explore, enjoy and photograph. Your vlogs are also so relaxing as there is no stress in them. Great work once more!
Very nice last two photos that have so much texture of mountains and colorful foliage. Thanks
Excellent photos. I really like you showing some of your pics you started with to finally show the progression and the results. Like your channel. Thanks for sharing.
Too cool man!! What great comps. Cant wait to see the next one.
Those colours look so dreamy 😍😍😍😍😍😍
Thanks a lot for the video! And those last 2 photographs are simply breathtaking!
Beautiful. Vibrant colours that makes you feel happy. I like what you manage to capture, but I'm in love with your voice. Such soothing voice. ♥️
The compression that you were able to obtain with those buttes and the foreground colors was superb.
Like how you ended up with all the layers at the end, just about perfect.
Great images and I like how you show your thought proces. Nice video Michael!
Nice shots and great discussion of how you got to the point where you were telling the story you wanted to tell. I have to say that I prefer the horizontal version of the foliage and butte. I love the horizontal vs vertical lines, the fall colors vs the butte colors, etc. Enjoyed the video.
Amazing Michael!
Wonderful, I always learn from your videos. Thank you.
Beautiful photos. Thanks for sharing.
Great video Michael, loving the autumn colour shots 😃👍🏻
Great shots, Michael! I like your way you work!
Loved the location Michael and you nailed the composition with the elevated position.
Gorgeous imagery... as usual. thank you for sharing!
Wow, this is so beautiful!
Beautiful photos of the trees, look more like paintings! Image at 10:17 is amazing, juxtaposing the warm and cool.
Superb as usual!
Nice photos, Michael. I really enjoy Fall color photography. I love driving up 395 from Lone Pine to Bridgeport. In the last couple of years I have grown to enjoy photographing the large cottonwoods far more than the aspens. The deep furrows in the bark are in stark contradiction to the fluttering leaves. Safe travels...
very beautiful shots. Yes, u can be proud of.
My favorite part of Utah. The compositions are endless!
Agreed!
Great Video Michael... stunning pics as always... would love to get to Utah some point in my life....
Lovely color and image composition. I was there in the same area 2 weeks ago, and the color was gone, but the images were still great. The landscape is so dramatics that it creates its own compositions for us. Beautiful!
Beautiful work.
Really like your editing on the tree photos. Very painterly feel. Amazing colors out there!
Another fantastic vlog from you
“Decided to walk up a little hill” and boom you nailed it, loved that shot and the ones at the end
fantastic shades and colures and tonality >>> just wonderful images
Beautifully artistic
Loved the tree shots when you backed up and got the detail you wanted. I love the shots of the color against the cool shadows of the butte. I have to say and you may disagree, I really like the shot with the front bokeh. I really do. Thanks for sharing!
Very nice.
Yes, the fall is a beautiful season for Photography.
Really enjoy your videos. It gives me inspiration in the way you explain your thought process and helps me to think more about mine on those days when I can't quite work out what I want to shoot but have great conditions around me.
Stunning colours for the location. I always thought we had stunning autumn colours here, really makes me want to travel there! Top class Michael
Thanks so much!
Love, love these images!
thanks so much!
Great location. I didn’t mind the brown grass in front of the trees myself. Last photo was incredible. All the colors from top to bottom and patterns.
Michael, its so obvious you are a videographer as well by the footage that leads into the video, I loved it! Your photos were absolutely stunning and I never would have thought to not include the top of the tree, but it wasn't necessary! Thank you for this video, now I want to go buy a 100-400 lens!!! ;-)
Thanks for the video. I enjoyed hearing your thought process in figuring out how to approach the situation and find compositions. I went to Zion this year for fall colors. Next year I want to stop by at Capitol Reef area and Colorado for fall colors.
Funny.. I didn't know you did videos until I came across this one. Been following you on instagram since I heard your interview on improve photography. The work speaks for itself. incredible.
Wow! Stunning photos great work! Keep it up 🙂
Autumn is always good here in Scotland, often with dark skies and soft or golden side lighting. Great video as usual. Loads of amazing shots but I especially love that last shot.
So awesome shots seen from these episode 😍😍😍 bdw I mostly love the last one ❤️❤️❤️ keep crushing man 👍👍👍
Awesome video, Michael. My fave is at 7:35 zoomed in on the y shaped branches. Hard to pick a fave among so many great shots.
Excellent video and images. Keep them coming sir we need something like this in these tough times.
I visited the exact same spot just past Capitol Reef NP after seeing your video ! It was so beautiful !
Gorgeous shots, Michael. The last two with the buttes are stunning!
Simply the best 🔥🥰
Great video and excellent photos. I loved that you showed us your mindset from beginning to end as you experimented.
Thanks so much!
Beautiful images and really nice video.
Thanks for talking through your thought process. Really helpful.
Of course, really glad to hear that thanks! :)
Excellent as always. You made my day. Take care.
Thanks so much!
Hi Michael, I also stumbled upon that tree last month. We must have been there about the same time because the colors look the same. Really neat area and I like what you did with it. I set up on the side of the highway, kinda looking down. I loved the multi colored grasses in the foreground. Kinda funny because the day I was there, I photographed that tree first and then drove out to the overlook where you started your video, so we did it in reverse. I really like the morning light you got at the overlook, very nice stuff and well seen. I look forward to seeing more from your trip!
Nice photos of the trees.
awesome...
Beautifull images Michael. Great work. Thnx
Thank you!
Great !
Great video Michael and some beautiful photo's.
Thank you!
Great video, a little change of pace. Love the images and I really like the 1st bokeh tree. Please don't fall in to the coffee making b-roll trap! It is the lens ball of photography vloggers 🤣🤣🤣
Harika kelimesi yetersiz kalıyor.
You did a great job capturing the fall colors in Utah.
Thanks so much!
Excellent photography
I love that image of the tree where you had the higher vantage point. Ok! Still watching and I'm seeing more beautiful images!
Thanks so much Sharon!
Great stuff Man!
Very impressive! ✌️
Always learning from the stuff that you put out. Thanks for all the great content.
Glad to hear that Brian, thanks so much!
It’s so beautiful and thank you share those awesome works!
Thanks :)
I live not too far from where you are shooting. Fun to see my stomping grounds in your video. As usual thanks for the great content.
Enjoyed the recount of the struggle to find “how” to look at these scenes and agree that you found your footing finally. Those shots were wonderful in the second half of the video. I’m also glad that you took the drone w/ you, as in the previous video those were spectacular, as well as the closing shots in this one. As for the Pinned request: I live in New Mexico, Santa Fe, and we can go from 7K in town up to 10.5 K elevation in a 30 minute drive right from downtown, and can hike another 2K higher. I never seem to tire of photographing the seasons w/in this close proximity to my house. But nothing as nearly dramatic as your Utah trip.
Thanks so much Todd! New Mexico is such a beautiful place. I hope to go back sometime soon!
This makes me want to go out in to the open badly. Thanks for sharing and inspiring 🙏
Nice adventure and photos! The landscape in fall over there looks dry and interesting! I almost forgot how a bright clear rain fog couds free landscape looks like lol. Cheers from WA State!
Very Beautiful In all capturing As Always :)
Your favorite image towards the end is truly awesome, in both crops! It's like a beautiful rainbow layer cake
I really liked the first tree image -- the photo that you ended up with. You really worked on the composition, something which my personality doesn't see to want to do. :)
Gorgeous shots, particularly that last shot with the bluff too. I particularly like that you showed how you work the scene.
On another note - any idea about photo tours next year? I want to join you for a trip.
Beautiful images if i had to pick it will be the close up shots of the trees 8:35 ,,8:48 ,,9;06 n 9:23 !! stunning place ..GOD BLESS !!!!!!!
Amazing shots! It’s that time of the year again 😎 as someone who lives in Utah, any chance you could be somewhat specific on the locations? Not looking to copy the same shots, just love the contrasts of terrain. Thanks again and great video!
I need to get myself to Utah. Lovely shots man!
That last shot...W😱W!!
Unfortunately, no "fall colors" here in the islands haha! Spending an Autumn in the SW is on my bucket list tho.
Ooof. That shot at 1:59! I approve of this composition.
Thanks man!
i love your videos!!
Thank you!
Really cool Michael!
Thanks!
That ended up a lovely image Michael
Thanks Ian!
Awesome to see fall in a desert location compared to the woodland here in the UK. Some interesting images really like the abstract images.
Thanks Chris!
Awesome video, Michael! Loved those shots! I'd be curious to see if you'd enjoy my area, and what perspectives you could capture here. We're a fan favourite during the Fall season. Cape Breton Island, if you're curious!
Amazing images again Michael, congrats. If you start out strong like this it's pretty hard to keep up with in the following years I think. That's the only negative thing I can think of. Again very beautiful and subtle editing as well. Really like it.
Thanks so much man! Ah I am not too worried about that :) I have been shooting landscape photography for 16 years and never gotten bored so far. I never go into a shoot wanting to top everything I have done before. I only go in with the mindset of having fun and if I get something I am proud of, it ends up in my portfolio or videos. I think for fall color next year I will spend some time in Canada or Colorado if things are fully back to normal.
@@MichaelShainblum Sure I totally agree. I wasn't trying to say that one needs to top everything done before when going out. Having fun is the most important. I just wanted to get across that your fist time shooting fall colors was pretty successful :-) I generally really enjoy your content from the past months. All the best and stay safe. Hopefully we can go back to normal in 2021.
Awesome as usual! Missed the classical music soundtrack ;-)
8:23 The tree shot 😍
Really gald you dig it, thanks!
If you liked shooting fall color you've gotta come to new england next fall!
Love how the shots came out, Michael. Have you considered a crop on the final image to exclude the sky. Using my very scientific method of holding my hand over my screen, I have determined that the image looks super gorgeous without the sky as well.
Thanks man, yeah I have a few other shots of the butte cropped. I figured for this video since I already had a similar tight composition I would leave it as these two separate shots. I do have a lot more variations to play with and process though.
You even make making coffee look incredible, jesus man 🤣
Hahaha I tried my best! :P Thanks!
