- This might have been my favorite landscape photography trip in recent memory. In this episode, I explore abstract landscape photography with my telephoto lens. I also shoot the incredible Utah Badlands from an aerial perspective with my drone. I really hope you enjoy the video! This place is truly a playground for photographers and intimate compositions. This is only the start so make sure to stay tuned!

If anyone knows a rep at In-N-Out Burger I would love a sponsorship. It can be like the whole Squarespace deal that UA-camrs have. In the intro I can be like "A SPECIAL thanks to In-N-Out for sponsoring this weeks video! If you are looking for a simple TASTY burger, make sure to check out In-N-Out!" Something like that. Anyways thanks so much for watching the video! Let me know your favorite photo from this weeks episode in the comment section! :)
You deserve a lucrative sponsorship. Yea, it dose not have to be directly photography related. It could also be something like, In-N-out burger pick one up as you head out to your next Photo trip.
The first time I was reading this I thought it was "Lord" Hardcastle who was hijacking your account - at least I keep hearing his voice when reading this - sorry Michael, I guess I have been watching too many of his Lordship and you ;-). You deserve definitely a deal that will make you continue this awesome production of material you produce.
What about my investment firm?
Nice shirt by the way!! lol
That shirt is making me hungry :)
The light bathing the antelope is perfect.
Thanks so much John!
Love them all but really love the drone panos 👌 😍
Thank you Robbie!
Hard to find words for this. What an amazing place, and how good you captured it. That is a photographic playground.
That was a real treat to see. Such majestic views that I'll probably never be able to see in person.
Stunning images as usual mate. Cannot possibly choose a favourite!
Thanks man, I really appreciate that!
Those aerial drone shots are worthy of a wall print or even in an art gallery. Stunning images!
Hey, this video is actually one of the best landscape videos that I have seen the last couple years. Started with the nice drone footage, the thoughts about the image process, the images itself and the nice beautiful relaxing scenes. Awsome stuff Michael... keep up the great work.
What a beautiful landscape. I can’t pick a favorite.
Perfect images, great expression. Drone panorama shot taken at sunrise is exceptional!
Hey Michael, I am fan of all your work. All these shots were so beautiful and inspiring to travel to places like these. Please keep up such great work.
Stunning, what a location!
Those drone abstracts were just amazing, loved the teleshots as well. Beautiful video!
T-shirt and shorts! Looked much more fun than when I was there last December. 😀 Thanks for the inspirations! Beautiful images all.
Stunning images both from above and on the ground. Your abstract and minimalist perspectives always inspire one to look more closely at the details of mother nature's wonders. What great work you are sharing... thank you!
Amazing photos, all of them! I visit that area last spring, can't wait to go again...
The Mandalorian vibes!
I just got done watching the first season, really good!
Incredible images, as a Utah local these images came out amazing. It really gives some true meaning back to the desert. Honestly some of the best composed images I've seen on UA-cam.
Loved the telephoto images. The patterns are so interesting. Although the pano at sunrise was pretty spectacular!
Michael - outstanding images!
Great images, glad you still have the drone. Spectacular first image. I love looking for abstract patterns myself as well.
I love it. So happy you found somewhere spectacular where you can fly the drone at all. What neat shots. Favorite is the first vertical pano, but I love those telephoto shots with the stone golem faces.
Your on another level from most UA-camrs . Awe inspiring images and footage mate thanks .
You are too kind, thanks so much Mark!
the images in this episode are all incredible Michael. Awesome work. Really like the subtle editing on the images as well. I think you did a really good job out there
Love, all of the photos😊
REALLY RELAXING VIDEO AND WELL MADE EDITING! THE IMAGES IS JUST A BONUS!
It’s so awesome .It’s a great enjoyment for me to watch your videos and photos !!!
All images are beautiful.
Its not easy to say whats the best.
I've recently being getting a bit burnt out on the UA-cam photography scene so it's nice to find a channel that focuses on the abstract side of landscape rather than the usual sunsets, mountains n rivers n stuff.
Your style is very much the direction I've been wanting to go for a while. Great stuff, very inspirational.
Love the pronghorn shot. I like wildlife in their environment. I liked the color of the sunrise but loved the mood in the sunset pano.
I was sure This place had a Great potential ! Now i am amazed ! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Amazing Michael. Love how relaxing and enjoyable this was 🙏🏻
I loved all of your abstracts ❤️
Love the vertical panoramas. Shot large format film from the same area a few weeks after you were there, and agree that there are a multitude of compositions. The awesome quietness of the dessert is something I will remember for a long time. The desert sunrises and sunsets just seem to go on forever! So many opportunities for images with the changing light.
Epic shots man, great conditions also! Drone is a must, I don’t go anywhere without it no more... 👊😎😍
Well done! Utah is my home, and I never get bored!
Amazing video as always. Learnt a lot watching your videos and thanks for all the explanation.
Drone panos and abstracts for me! Great video!
Hey Michael, that first drone shot was a stunner. All the images were equally brilliant in their own light but yeah that first one! So so good. Great video!
Really great shots of a subject I love, the southwestern landscape. Love the zoomed in bluff shots.
Dude this is top notch, very impressed. Brought a smile to my face. Thanks
Breathtakingly beautiful! 😍😍😍 Thank you for sharing. I love all of your photos, but the drone shots from above are my favorites because they remind me of gemstones that are cut and polished. The earth is so amazing.
Thanks Carol, glad you dig the drone shots :)
I specially love the drone shots mate & I really like the shot in which the patterns are looking like the pinkish rose Patel's I think it's the bottom right image in the video. Just bring out the perfection man we all love you..!!
The drone shot panos are my favourite images. The telephoto shot with the pronghorn antelope looks great as the animals give it scale and a sense of context.
The abstracts are good to look at, the patterns are interesting and make me think about how rugged the landscape is there. It's a dry area so must be a lot of wind erosion. Very beautiful place for photography. Thanks for sharing your lovely images.
Thanks so much for watching the video Hugh!
Loved them all! Inspirational! Going to head out today and look for patterns and textures! Thanks!
Fabulous video. At 10.11 I love that image - but also the 1st photo and the goats and mountain ... but also ALL of them are so great
Stunning work!!
Beautiful❤
Firstly how could someone not like these amazing photos. I always get excited about a new posting by you Michael. I love the drone photos with the golden glow. Also the close up of the ridges and groups of rocks and finally the one with the antelope.
Thanks Donna!
I really can't decide. These textures are all amazing. 👍🏼
Great images. Thanks for sharing Michael.
Amazing shots! Best video I have watched in a while.
Love them all! Well done Michael! :-)
A perfect example of the importance of perspectives, and how they can change everything. These compositions are all beautiful and inspiring Mike, thanks for sharing as always🤙!
Thanks so much Tal!
Wow!
Great video Michael.. the first 3 shot Pano which was captured with the drone is my favourite... though stunning landscapes and well captured..
Spectacular, all of them were just spectacular. Nice video.
This is the Michael Shainbloom we've been waiting for. Just top shelf stuff. The aerials and the cliff faces. Can't possibly pick a favorite one. Just well done.
Thanks so much Robert!
Just stunning images. My personal favorite is the sunrise drone panorama. Simply breathtaking!
Thank you!
Those opening drone shots.....my word
Thanks Andrew, glad you dig them!
Thanks for all the videos ! You are the Bob Ross of Photography !
You might be the most talented landscape photographer I’ve seen on UA-cam. Unreal images
absolutely stunning images!!
Super! Really like the stone faces. They remind me of pharoahs heads!
These are my favorite images you have. The very first one, the sci-fi one are my favs. Love the blue tones. Fantastic
Thanks so much!
The drone panorama at sunset of Factory Butte is awesome
Great work at the Factory. It is a magical place at sunrise. Drone work is actually way better than down to Earth camera work in that spot.
Those images are just spectacular mate. thank you and well done!
Favorite? They are all my favorite. Darn it Michael - drone, camera, even the cam you have on yourself, was allllll incredible. And Utah is incredible. Spectacular video here.
Thanks so much Todd, agreed Utah is such a cool place
Amazing video - again - thanks
The telephoto were my favorites. Keep having fun.
I love the panorama ❤️🥂
Wonderful video Michael! We spent three days there last month and it only gave us a taste of what is available.
Beautiful work buddy, thanks for sharing.
Thanks Michael for such and inspiring video and photos. Really awesome to see your photos capture these abstract structures and landscapes. Nature ia really amazing in such a different outfit all the time all over the globe. Keep these videos coming ;-)
Thanks! :)
Amazing images. I love them all. My favorite is the image with the Pronghorns. Thanks for sharing!!!
Thank you Patty!
Enjoyed watching.. love your abstract images of natural patterns...the drone shots are breathtaking.. Thanks for sharing and inspiring ❤️🙏🏽🙌🏽
Beautiful shots! I was down in that same area with some friends on a photography trip just last month. Such an amazing landscape! I think your three exposure vertical panorama from the Mavic 2 Pro is my favorite from this outing. Just magic! But they're all beautiful. Can't go wrong in Southern Utah!
Enchanting 😃
Hi Michael, amazing photos, I like the last photo the sunset pano very much.
Beautifully narrated Michael! Love the drone shots but the level of detail and mood of the telephoto shots does it for me. Gorgeous! would be interesting to see some BW conversions and play with the contrast and D&B some of those ridge patterns in the rock.
Gorgeous photos, would be very difficult to pick a favorite. Also love your choice of music.
Amazing images. I like them all. Congrats.
Well done Michael.
All of them, I absolutely LOVE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THOSE IMAGES. Utah is now on my list of places to photograph.
Thanks so much!
Dude, exceptional ! Very well done.
This is the first of your videos I've ever seen and I already love it. Its so refreshing to see videos of this quality with such great landscape photos and drone photos and not have to listen to someone with an english accent the whole time haha! Keep up the great work!
Love them all!! Exquisite!!
Thanks so much Shannon!
Excellent photography and cinematography, bravo!
Thanks Mike! I have been there this Sunday and it is a beautiful sunrise with morning glow, colorful cloud all around the sky. I also flew the drone but I don’t have a SUV so can’t get further off road. Really appreciate you shared your experience, definitely will be Factory Butte next time with a Jeep!😂😂
Spectacularly done. Always love seeing your work. I do 3D world and scene creation using World Creator 2 and Unreal Engine, and your images are always a tremendous inspiration. Thank you!
Wow! Love all the images in the video, but the last one is my favorite! The western USA and Canada are on top of my travel list when this 'worldwide situation' ends... hopefully next year!
Fantastic video, what a great trip. No way to pick a favourite out of these amazing images, all so different and unique in there own way.
Thanks so much!
these are so beautiful 😭😭😭😭😭
What a beautiful location and great images Michael. The drone shots are unearthly and Wall shots are also stunning. I can’t chose. Love your channel👍
Thanks so much Ed!
Just landed in hanksville and took my first trip out to see the butte and scout and blown away! can't wait to see what i can shoot here.
So well put together, incredible scenes, class photography. Inspirational...
Thank you Mali, really glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for sharing the awesome images. Favorite by far is the butte photo at sunrise. That lighting is incredible. You've inspired me to make another photo/adventure trip to Utah this fall and include a stop at In 'N Out in Barstow :)
The sunset ridge/ Butte image is just perfect.
Thanks so much Robert!
One of my favorite outings you have done. Beautiful images and your video editing is subtle but powerful.
Thanks so much, mine too :)
