    That’s the last thing on the list, weld the diff and full send after that. I know raceland suspension doesn’t get the respect it deserves but for what it is worth the car feels a billion times better, now I can imagine with an LSD. I’d say when you drift make it as if you went out for a swim not do what the titanic did and over do it unless you’re ready for all those bolts on the floor when you do decide to drive. Go for a dive instead and hit up the track.

    One thing I'd say about the readily available cars is that the E36 and E46 didn't come with an LSD apart from their M3 models so you're gonna want to weld that diff.

    • @FitmentIndustries
      @FitmentIndustries  Рік тому +1

      Yup, welding that diff will be the most cost effective way to get those cars going sideways. If you want to be fancy you can get a 2 way diff though ;)

    If you’re car makes a lot of mechanical grip I would not recommend starting with kendas in the rear. They are great drift tires but on my mustang they were too grippy for my first day out. I’m going to try them again once I tune my car for less mechanical grip tho

    The only events for drifting near me are at WWT raceway and it’s for all experience levels. What ways not officially can I safely learn how to drift?

    • @FitmentIndustries
      @FitmentIndustries  Рік тому

      If it's for all experience levels you can still get out there! I would reach out to the event organizers ahead of time and let them know you are new. They might also know some other local-ish events for you! - Sam

    • @FitmentIndustries

    I just wish in italy we had any kind of open drift day... It's depressing to find out that any combination of keyword you use on google will end up getting you slapped in your face with a freaking payed course... Than they complain if kids go around drifting on the road... (actually who am i kidding, here everyone drive a stock abarth 500 and call it a day)

      Drifting is still a relatively "new" motorsport and continues to gain momentum all over the world. In the United States the last 3-5 years have seen a huge increase in the number of events. Hopefully it can start taking off in Italy the same way!

    • @FitmentIndustries
      @FitmentIndustries  Рік тому

      It's tough to maintain some consistency since you are getting whatever they have and might have different left or right tires. A lot of those tires are also old so they'll fall apart pretty fast after you get some heat in them. BUT...if they are free they are free!!!!!! - Sam

      Ran my first drift season fully on scabs (used tires from a shop) and I thought it was the best because they were cheap or free, and I could light them up… this year I got morr adjustments and better alignment along with lots of ironman gen 2 and let me tell you.. it was a lot to get used to the massive grip change, but now that I’ve got it down the driving is so much more aggressive and I’m much more confident gaining speed and throwing it at walls. It’s night and day.

      @@Maaaaaax-07 not true at all. Loose setups are much easier to drive than one that’s hooked up. Driving with grip will level up your driving and you’ll be faster. But yes it’s a huge advantage when competing which is a big reason I had to up the grip cuz everyone was walking me
