He didn't get popular by making good content; it's because he's male and white? And because he's male and white, he doesn't deserve success, especially success on a platform they literally built? Wow, that's not bigoted at all.
Sohla got shafted at BA; no argument there. However, to say another person should get shafted for essentially the same reasons is backwards and misguided.
Babish put Sohla back on; why does Babish now need to be demonized for having said platform to begin with? You can't fight fire with fire; violence only begets more violence. Trying to fight bigotry with more bigotry is the exact opposite of progressive.

@@dt52090 Considering she just left a job that wasn't paying her I'm pretty confident she wouldn't take another gig that would do the same thing. Babish has had sponsorships from freaking Bounty paper towels and has moved a couple of different times to accommodate his growing channel/collection of crazy cooking implements. I think he can afford to pay a new host. Especially one who people really like. Conde Nast fucked up royally with the BA SNAFU and Babish is taking advantage. I'm just bummed he probably won't be able to get the rest of them.

From what you can find on the internet, it sounds like expectation creep, which happens in a lot of jobs. She was never contracted with the UA-cam channel portion of BA, but they brought her in to help people who were. Eventually she started appearing in videos, but still didn’t have a contract so wasn’t getting paid for that like people who were. I’ve experienced similar things in “normal” jobs - you’re good at computers, so you become unofficial IT. You know how to craft, so you’re assigned to decorate the office every holiday in addition to your normal job. You can handle pissed off customers better than anyone, so people let you handle someone who’s yelling if your manager isn’t there.
Unfortunately, her situation resulted in much more lost money. I feel for her, and I know how one can feel like they can’t say “no”. If she asked for a contract and was denied, she should have stopped doing videos. If she never asked for a contract after she found out everyone else was being compensated more than she was, then she should have left. If she was then dismissed from her job, I feel like she could THEN have gone for blood.
Obviously there’s a ton going on behind the scenes and it’s a tense atmosphere these days, but as someone who has been underutilized and underpaid in the past, I just left. No need to get revenge on the way out. That just looks petty.

The only thing I think could help the series in the future could be some text to supplement her planning and tell us a little more about what she's working on. Fortunately it's rather early, and I have faith in Andrew to be able to figure this out. It's most likely due to the fact that he's filming different layouts with multiple people as opposed to his stationary layout for his solo show. But I'm just some guy on the internet what do I know?

@@anhariraushanfikri6089 The colour correction when Sohla wore the mustard shirt was definitely off, and her voice picked up better than his throughout. There's always a learning curve when starting a new endeavor.

The only time I had seen Sohla doing anything close to this when she was with BA was when she made the experimental carbonara and I’m so happy that I am able to see her do such things again!!!
