...how in the hell did you even figure all this out? Major, major props dude. And in response to the numerous comments relating to Converge and music theory, I studied post-tonal theory for a short time, just enough to know that, from the few Converge riffs I've been able to break down and study (namely Heartless, Jane Doe, Sparrow's Fall and Thaw), Ben and Nate are genius composers. They pass between post-tonal and traditional tonal theories seamlessly as each song demands. The extent to which they're aware of what particular method of thinking their riffs fall under, however, is eclipsed by the impact those riffs have on a listener. Personally, that effect is immense, complex, nuanced and absolutely soul-rending to me. And the soul does not give a shit whether what it's experiencing is considered a part of a formal theory. But this is what makes Converge a truly rare gem to me... most bands you listen to either with your mind, your body or your soul. Converge... fucking DEMANDS the attention of all three.
I need to give to huge thanks to two people: this guy for putting up this great cover, and UA-cam for giving the video player the function of reducing the playback speed by 50% (so I can actually look at the notes being played)
@Rawker31 Thanks man. Okay, well I have watched Kurt play it multiple times, and he usually just slaps the strings at the pickups while doing the same fingering I am. (4th fret 5th string, 5th fret 4th string) The way I am playing it, is by fret tapping the note an octave away from the fingering. Does that help?
this is fucking amazing still, i really wanna learn jane doe but i'm a new guitarist and there's so much fucking shit to soak in...for 3 months i'm decent but man I would LOVE to work on a jane doe project with you
thats one of the cleanest covers of concubine i've heard on here... very VERY nice

Great comment and seemingly a brilliant mind. Hope you’re still doing well nearly 10 years later. Take care.
12 years ago? 12 years ago me wished I was you. Hope life has treated you well. Love this cover, love converge 🤘🤘

the slow down speed function on youtube is the most important tool for figuring out songs, EVER.
