Very high quality videos. Clear explanations of every step and great photography. No useless chatter and no annoying music. It doesn’t get better than this.
It boggles the mind that a guy can make videos by himself in his shop and be 100 times better than anything a network can produce. The network suits collectively scratch their heads wondering why TV is dying. Well done sir.
Network TV is dead as a concept. The digital world has made video recording and editing much simpler so almost anyone can do it. And there are far more talented people hiding out there in the weeds than there are networks. Networks are over bloated with suits who know nothing about what people really want. They have to sell their crap at exorbitant prices to cable cos just to keep the suits well healed. I gave up on cable TV and only stream on my Apple. tV equipment and on my iPad. I turned the cable news on the other day and I could not believe the advertising. I went back to streaming pronto. In future I will drop cable entirely and get network channels via digital antenna. I just use Apple TV, Netflix and Prime and youtube (a lot!) because of Pask and his ilk. May they thrive. Cable $ will be redirected to producers like him.
Thumb up for all that file work! There is something quite soothing about dragging a file over the work and watching it slowly take shape. Much more rewarding than a screaming angle grinder.
When I come home from work, I watch your videos. They energize me and inspire me. You have such a positive spirit about your work. Thank you so much for producing these little gems. They are very important to me.
Rob Paul: Completely agree. This man's videos are informative, entertaining, educating and extremely well done. Thank you so very much and please keep up the fine work!!
Every time I watch your videos, I learn something new. You are talented and creative, and I appreciate that you share those gifts with us. Happy Easter.
I enjoyed that! Y'know have owned a few wedge-adjustable planes, but have never really seen someone set the iron that way. Also, blackening the steel with a torch & linseed oil. ALSO, compressing the wood at the hammer head by peening...y'learn something every day! Thanks!
I like this hammer, it looks very nice. And I'm really in love with that puppy plane. What I appreciate most in your video is the immense source of ideas and inspirations and the genius way to realize things. Keep doing it, please. I always need clever ideas and inspiration for my projects. Thanks for sharing it.
Very timely for me, I just found a tack hammer head my grandfather gave me as a kid. Going to put a new handle on it. A couple of good tips for me in the video.
Thanks. Got the handle made, and the head on it, but broke the top of the handle driving the wedge. I think I as a bit aggressive with the angle of the wedge. Have to see how it holds up under some use, it is only a tack hammer, so it may work for years without an issue.
Very good. I've got a vintage E.C. Emmerich Primus smoothing plane that my dad passed on to me, love using it, better than my iron bodied equivalent. I've just been using a wooden mallet to set the blade, but this hammer idea looks great, will definitely build one.
Every one of your videos is wonderful. I am amazed by your Ingenuity and ability to create almost anything from next to nothing. Keep the great videos and ideas coming.
Great stuff here. I love learning things. The oil finish on the steel is new to me, it looks great! Useful in my area as well with summer storms in the morning sometimes and 95°F by the afternoon as so often happens in the summer months. Functional and looks great. Also I think most people would have simply glued the handle in the hammer head in some way. Compressing the fibers seems like one of those things people learned over generations to work better and last longer, one of those things that's nearly forgotten today. I will likely be using that knowledge as well. Love your videos keep them coming!
I had one of the worst week of my life. You have no ideas the amount of joy I felt when I saw the notification for your new video. Thank you for so much
Great little gem of a channel. Pask has a nice niche showing us how to do things sensibly and cheaply without a lot of large expensive equipment. Some of these yield excellent handy tools which in themselves are nice one day or weekend projects. Keep this going, please.
i just saw your two videos on light work mallets. i found you to be genious one ..workmanship nice and perfect with high qualities... worth noting ..ideal for newcomers students...congratulate you for setting nice exsmples through your job
Thanks very much Tobias! I am doing this full-time but I'm lucky to have a wife to support me. I earn enough to contribute, but not what I would call well paid (not complaining though, I love it!!!). ;)
First class! When you're finished with the plane you can knock the Victa blades back into their correct position on your mower :-)) Well made...regards, Phil
Watched many of your videos and subscribed. I’m shocked you don’t have a million subs. Your work is outstanding and your production values not far behind.
So good! Blackening Steel with Linseed oil is clever, i didn't know that would work! Also love how you get it bang on with a tiny tap!! Great work, i've subscribed!!
Love everything you make. By far my favorite creative director. Love the smaller builds, but would love to see your take on making a power tool, perhaps a lathe? 😮
Another great build Pask. I have a small plane Iike that I got off of Amazon and I never did know how to get the blade out. It came with no instructions and what it did have was all in Chinese or Japanese, lol. So, thanks to your video I know how to adjust/take out the blade.
It’s called bluing. If you don’t want to heat whatever it is you want to blue (prevents rusting) you can use a solution to just paint it with and it will start a chemical reaction to do the same thing
You make everything seem so simple, small f*ckups included 😜, that even those of us who are new to the craft could make your projects. Though my end results are far more dodgy looking with many many more f*ckups along the way 😂 but I learn so much through the process. THANKYOU
I know it is an old video but thank you for illustrating the hammer head's taper. I would have done it in reverse thinking the taper was for the natural taper of the handle.
Very high quality videos. Clear explanations of every step and great photography. No useless chatter and no annoying music. It doesn’t get better than this.

Thanks very much! :)
TV? What's that?
Read my mind
I don't care what Park makes, it always cool and educational. Love this channel. Keep doing it and no one will watch TV again 😀

Brilliant, simply brilliant. That hammer is a work of art. Very rarely does a craftsman produce something that looks so right.
When I come home from work, I watch your videos. They energize me and inspire me. You have such a positive spirit about your work. Thank you so much for producing these little gems. They are very important to me.
Pask, you've been on fire lately. Your projects are useful and accessible, but never boring. Very cool work.
Thanks Joe! :)
Simple build but so many handy tips. Thanks Neil!
No worries Scott! :)
Your smile and happiness at 2:25 is awesome! You are awesome Pask! Regards from Buenos Aires!
Rob Paul: Completely agree. This man's videos are informative, entertaining, educating and extremely well done. Thank you so very much and please keep up the fine work!!

No worries Tom! And Happy Easter to you too! :)
Beautiful Plane set hammer.I made one years ago out of a piece of brass I had in the shop still does the Job.Nice work very professional looking tool.
Thanks very much Joe! :)

Man needs a piece of hex bar stock, proceeds to make it by attacking round stock with a file. The patience of glaciers.

Thanks very much - glad you're enjoying my channel! :)
I've made a few lately too, and will be making more. This will come in really handy. Thanks!
That sir, was a lot of filing, rasping and sanding!! The result? A really cool hammer.
Very timely for me, I just found a tack hammer head my grandfather gave me as a kid. Going to put a new handle on it. A couple of good tips for me in the video.
Glad it was helpful Brian! :)

Pask just seems like such a nice guy to be around. Lovely video as always

Again appreciate seeing your approach. I like to hear how the bluing has helped for reducing corrosion.
Every one of your videos is wonderful. I am amazed by your Ingenuity and ability to create almost anything from next to nothing. Keep the great videos and ideas coming.

No worries my friend! hopefully you'll have a better week this week! :)
Great vid again 👍👍👍. The tip about conpressing wood grain before installing into hammer head is brilliant 🤔
I like how u progressively make tools to make tools. Reminds me of my grandpa. Skillful!
Thanks Vishwan! :)
This dude needs his own show! All over cable, Netflix, hulu, and everything in-between!
Great little gem of a channel. Pask has a nice niche showing us how to do things sensibly and cheaply without a lot of large expensive equipment. Some of these yield excellent handy tools which in themselves are nice one day or weekend projects. Keep this going, please.
Nice little hammer..... I love my Japanese file.... that thing is a beast, works great on metal also...Keep those videos coming.. love you’re channel.

Every work of yours is amazing. Its an inspiration. Thank you Sir.
I love the style and quality of your videos. I hope this is your full time gig and you get paid well for it, because your work is fantastic.
Haha! Thanks Phil! :)
Is there a better sound than a sharp plane slicing through a piece of dry wood? 👍🇬🇧
Nah!!!! Tis guuuud. :-)
I might be alone on this one but I love the sound of nails on a chalkboard in the morning.
Tom O'Hawk ye a sharp plane that's set up probably that takes thinner shavings
kettle going on?
JRad you fucking terrify me
Ver como unos trozos de madera, hierro, o cualquier material, se transforman en arte, es realmente increíble y placentero.
Admirable.
Gracias! :)
Watched many of your videos and subscribed. I’m shocked you don’t have a million subs. Your work is outstanding and your production values not far behind.
Great hammer! I loved the technique you showed for blackening steel! Keep it up! I'm your big fan!
Thanks mate! :)
Beautiful little hammer.
As always, this particular video is inspirational. Just like the others.

That, my friend is amazing. I loved this video.
Love everything you make. By far my favorite creative director. Love the smaller builds, but would love to see your take on making a power tool, perhaps a lathe? 😮
Thanks Hakeem! :)
Always, always the best videos.
Very nice as always. I had never heard of a plane hammer.

Glad it was helpful Becky! :)
This is a beautiful hammer. You've inspired me to make one. Now I need to find some steel!
Bumblebee Gaming there's a local hardware store I get the steel from but I'll look around for iron. Thank you!
Great stuff mate. I've been meaning to make a dead blow hammer. I think this design slightly bigger will do the trick.
Great job. A real craftsman!
Never heard of a plane hammer, learned something new, thanks
Enjoyed that! I didn't know boiled linseed oil would blacken steel like that.
pretty much the same process of seasoning cast iron pots.
Works with candle wax too. (Paraffin wax in countries that don't have loadshedding)
Aadil Shah This excites me.
It’s called bluing. If you don’t want to heat whatever it is you want to blue (prevents rusting) you can use a solution to just paint it with and it will start a chemical reaction to do the same thing
Allan Martin great informative! Thank you!
Pask strikes again!!
looks hella good!!! Good work sir!
nice job! i like the patina
I like how you blackened the metal.
You make everything seem so simple, small f*ckups included 😜, that even those of us who are new to the craft could make your projects. Though my end results are far more dodgy looking with many many more f*ckups along the way 😂 but I learn so much through the process.

I know it is an old video but thank you for illustrating the hammer head's taper. I would have done it in reverse thinking the taper was for the natural taper of the handle.
I love your channel. Thank you for your work
