Fun fact: NY on average contributes more revenue to the federal government through taxation than it receives in financial assistance. Refusing federal funding to NY would only result in the state refusing to pay taxes to the federal government and a net federal loss. MTG's home state of Georgia however receives far more from the federal government than it contributes. If she and/or her constituents are so concerned about the allocation of federal funds, perhaps they should pull themselves up by their boot straps and get off of federal government assistance.

I was gonna point this out too. States like CA and NY and IL and also Michigan are donor states. That means they pay more in taxes and thus provide the federal government with more dollars and receive less federal funding than most of the states in the south like Mississippi Arkansas and Louisiana. @christal2641 oh weird.. in Canada we have cart returns at multiple spots in the parking lots.. the ones super close to the store are for the disabled but there's usually a few more further back

When I joined ROTC at Portland State, I had to have a Secret clearance. When I dropped out of college and enlisted in 1988 into the Signal Corps, my chosen profession required a Top Secret clearance. It was a long, arduous process that started when I was still in basic training. If I had Trump's background, there is no way I would have got that clearance. Apparently, politicians don't have to go through a background check.
I’ve actually been part of that process as just being a neighbor to someone needing top secret clearance. It’s no joke how long I was questioned. Glad my husband was also in the army so I knew what to expect. But trump goes ahead and plays fast and loose with top secret documents and it’s no big deal to his cultists (some of whom I see wearing the maga hat while on post, not in uniform obviously, but just irritates me).

For every tax dollar paid to Washington, the state received $1.06 in return - a favorable per capita balance of payments of $1,076. This is the third year in a row that New York has had a positive balance of payments, after a long history of sending more to Washington than it receives."

Returning a shopping cart was literally the first chore my kids learned. Especially from handicapped parking
I don’t like returning shopping carts either, so my solution is to park next to or as close as I can to a cart corral as I enter the parking lot. They are easy to see and then returning the cart isn’t much of a bother.

According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), abductions by strangers are the rarest type, making up approximately 1% of all missing children cases reported.
