I had the opportunity to tour a studio apartment in New York City that is outfitted with Bumblebee smart technology. So what's so special about this place? The bed and storage units are attached to the ceiling and are lowered electronically by the tap of a finger on an app. Pretty ingenious if you live in a small apartment!
Find out how much it all costs in the video.
This video is not sponsored--we just thought it was a mind-blowing way to live in a tiny city space and wanted to share it with our viewers.
If you're wondering, this apartment rents for $3,500/month.
Enjoy!

Yea Boss, I'm running late to work. My drop ceiling storage container jammed and I can't get my underwear and pants down.
Thanks for the chuckle. 😂
I do love it..
Sooo.what happens in a black out?
You can't go to bed... lol.
@@williambyrdson6159 Dam..🤣🤣
That’s super cool! Remove some of the bells and whistles and sell the set for $10k. It would do fantastic!
$30k!? This would be awesome for the guy on TikTok that has "New York's Smallest Apartment". I am sure he'd love it, lol
Brilliant. $30,000 is a lot, but you are getting an extra room!
This falls under the category of....tech is great right up until the moment it's not. With all these bells and whistles it just makes more things to break and glitch. I'm thinking that this made getting into your jammies ....bed...then getting up and dressed...too complicated.
Great video and tour - this is very clever and well executed. I'd love to hear an update after someone has lived in this space for a while to get a sense of what it'd be like in practice! The drawer cam is a really nice touch as well :)
$30,000 waaaaaayyyyyy overpriced!
put the phone in the box, then press the button, you‘re f‘ed
What button? The button on the phone?
@@pennPi put the phone in the box, activate the mechanism, the phone is gone, it's in the ceiling
@@pennPi lol
@@reichhopprivatwatch1406 Still doesn’t make sense because you activate via the phone. Put the phone in the box, but then you have to take the phone out to activate the mechanism. Comprendez?
@@pennPi dude while it is going up with the phone inside lol - you get it?
What if the power goes out?!
Love it thanks for sharing 👍 🥰
As always very cool video and you look fantastic!
I think this is a great idea. Imagine this room with a bed in it. That's all there would be and thats all you would see. This has brought space saving to a new level !
Fantastic! :)
Not trying to be gross or weird here, but I’d be very concerned about engaging in “recreation” with my girlfriend in that bed. If you break one of the legs or something, or someone unthinkingly pulls one of the cords a bit too hard, that’s a $30,000 piece of tech you’ve broken. Also I’m assuming you have to make the bed everyday to send it up, which I’m bad about.
Bumblebee Spaces!!
Wow! Reminds me of the film Fifth Element. Not suitable for drunk people though :)
Cool concept but 30k is a bit much. I also thought of a few cons like what if the power goes out or what if the bed or entire modular falls on someone underneath it?
Very future!
Lmao $30,000 😆 guys from Mexico can make that for 2300 to 3300
Powerout cause winter time 😂 no sleep no bed no car keys or wallet bad idea
Come on 30K that's ridiculous I see $300 in materials
Powers out cant go to bed.
I could get a car for that amount of $
Name of the company

How is this supported from the ceiling and does it have a low profile for a low ceiling. Aesthetically it looks a bit cumbersome and bulky hanging from a ceiling. It needs to be more recessed. The cameraman did a poor job trying to disguise what a discerning eye would otherwise call a deal breaker. Great concept but I've seen a much better design of multipurpose furniture.
with the 30k couldn't you just get a bigger apartment?
I would buy a vehicle with a bed and drive away. So sad when we have poverty and homelessness as an issue....and others can afford a $30,000 bed.
