Information given to those reacting: *YOASOBI - Racing Into The Night* Information: YOASOBI is a Japanese music duo composed of producer Ayase and vocalist Ikura. The group has released songs based on short stories posted on Monogatary, a website operated by Sony Music Entertainment Japan. The group has also released songs from various novels and book tie-ups. More than five months after its release, the single would top the Billboard Japan Hot 100 on June 1, 2020. The song also topped the year-end chart of Billboard Japan Hot 100, becoming the first song not released on CD to top the year-end chart. *AKB48 - Heavy Rotation* Information: Created by renowned J-pop Idol Producer Yasushi Akimoto in 2005, AKB48 is the first pop group in Japan to have its own theater where performances and fanmeets are held on a daily basis Following his original concept of “idols you can meet.” AKB48 has since then become a global phenomenon breaking multiple sales records in Japan with their hit singles and albums. They now have sister groups around the world including the Philippines (MNL48) recreating AKB48 songs in their native tongue. Heavy Rotation is the group’s 17th single, and most popular song known globally. The song is now available on streaming platforms such as Apple Music and Spotify which is not common even for the newer artists under their label, Johnny’s & Associates.
Incase you wonder BABYMETAL came from JPOP idol school SAKURA GAKUIN compose of Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) , Moa-metal (Moa Kikuchi), Yui-metal (Yui Mizuno)
Thanks for featuring Arashi. I've been a fan of theirs for 13 years and I've been trying to get my Filipino friends to like them. It's funny how one girl said they reminded her of F4... and Jun from Arashi is Domyouji (an F4) in Hana Yori Dango.
I literally teared up with their reactions to Arashi. Definitely raw and fun, it is very heartwarming 🥺❤️ Arashi is really one of the best boy groups out there! 💙💚💛❤️💜
Thank you for the fun reaction. ARASHI’s concerts are one of the bests, but many Japanese say the best in Japan and maybe in the world. You can check ‘Untitled’ and other live videos on their channel. Member Jun Matsumoto is the lead actor of Gokusen 1 and Hana Yori Dango. They are one of the most talented entertainers in Japan. Check their new songs In the Summer, Party Starters and Whenever You Call (produced by Bruno Mars)
When i read ARASHI, I automatically remembered Hana Yori Dango, my first non Filipino asian drama. I googled HYD and i was shocked that it has only 9 eps Because i watched it for months on local tv.
Its so sad that Arashi is now on hiatus, they are one of the most legendary Jpop group (from Johnnys - the most popular Japanese entertainment company in Japan)
I hope they can React also AKB48 Koisuru Fortune Cookie soon. It become so popular in Japan. And thank you for featuring J-Pop because it is the only way to understand more about J-POP where MNL48's Genre influenced.

Trueeee more AKB song like their old songs like Ooge Diamond, River, Fortune Cookie, 10zen Sakura... They deserve! Heavy rotation will really shock new viewers and it will be unfair for them
Thank you for your reaction! It would also be awesome if you react to Arashi throughout the years, since they are still around until now (just in hiatus this 2021). And speaking of F4, one of their members acted as Domyouji Tsukasa (Dao Ming Si) and their group sang the theme songs for the Hana Yori Dango S1, S2 and movie. And if you're curious how we Filipino fans (international) knew them even though they just had their official limited internet presence in 2019, well alam niyo na yun *magic* haha. Maraming salamat mga kabayan!
The first song by YAOSOBI is entitled "Running Into the Night". It is a song about suicide. Plot: Deep down the man wanted to kill himself, then his desire took form of a beautiful girl. She doesn't exist, but exist on his mind as temptation. Slowly over time, death sounded enticing to both of them. The girl also wanted to kill herself, which prompted the man to commit suicide, then leads to a double suicide. The story is dark Af #ThanatosTemptation
I became a JPOP fan first before KPOP. My ichiban (bias) group is Hey!Say!JUMP which is under Johnny's Entertainment agency, same as Arashi. They may look infamous but they actually have fan bases from different parts of the world despite of having almost no social media interactions. They only opened their artists in social media last 2019 if I am not mistaken when lolo Johnny (Johnny Kitagawa) died and JE got a new CEO. I remember the hard times of watching these groups. You can mostly found videos, especially with subtitles from live journal. 😂
UWAHH THANK YOU FOR INCLUDING "ARASHI" 💜💛💙💚❤ they've been active for 21 Years and Is currently on Hiatus T•T Also the group won the Guiness World Record "Best Selling Album" Last 2019 even without International promotion! All of the members are Actors, and Tv host. Also Check out their Concerts CAUSE IT'S TRULY GOD-TIER AND THE MOST HIGH TECHNOLOGY ESPECIALLY "THE DIGITALIAN" TOUR AND "JAPONISM" TOUR. THEY ARE FLYING AROUND THE DOME AND ARENA IN ZIPLINES
Hmmm if only the "The First Take" version is played of Racing into the night was shown.... I want to see their reaction 😂😂😂 And Yung Temptation of Thanatos kung saan base ang racing into the night na song
I SEE ARASHI... I CLICK!! And didn’t regret!! First of all, thank you for reacting to the “Evolution of Jpop”. It is a great reaction video which you guys saw how the evolution of Jpop music evolve throughout the years.. I like what EL said that “they were not influenced much by the Western music” because it is true. They know their music and they know how to deliver it to their audience!! ARASHI means storm in Japanese.. so it is like “we will bring storm to the world” and yes they did brought a storm to the world.. Also, it is funny how they mentioned F4 in Arashi’s MV cus MatsuJun is literally “Tsukasa Doumyouji” of Hana Yori Dango. The kids at the back are trainees in the same company which is many of them already debuted by this time.. and YESS they start VERY early.. see or react to Hey! Say! JUMP for more info. Recommendation to react: Love so Sweet - ARASHI Again - YUI Marigold - Aimyon Pretender - HIGE DANdism
that "paved the way" comment is such a kpop fan thing to say. i say this as an arashi fan, no fans of them think that it was them who "paved the way". There are more to Jpop. It is more than just about idols. Hope you can check out other artists, groups, bands, etc, too. :) anyways, two of arashi's concerts are available in youtube, please watch them and be amazed at their awesomeness LOL =D
Can't help to laugh when it was AKB48's turn 🤣 Please po sana magkaroon ng content na Filipino reaction sa kahit isa or dalawang song ng AKB na ginawa din ng MNL.. like ipapakita muna yung original (AKB48) then after the whole song, yung MNL48 version naman. I hope di nagmumukhang nag-iimpose o ano man yung pagka-construct ko 😅
Lol the most controversial akb48 MV, even in Japanese standards. The director of the MV is actually a woman and aki-p gave her full creative freedom. She somehow convinced the girls to wear lingerie. Her reasoning to the girls is kinda questionable but hey, it worked haha. Btw, how about make them react to quirky japanese MVs but actually good songs. Songs that comes to my mind are Papapa by Shuka Saito, Flyers by Bradio or any song by Kyaru pamyu pamyu just to name a few. Or react to the recent animated mv trend in japanese, like songs similar to Yoasobi. Ex. Yorushika, Zutomayo and Minami.
@@blogginsriverbymnl48isabop86 They weren’t desperate. Heavy Rotation wasn’t their peaked song but Aitakatta. Heavy Rotation was their most controversial MV tho. The Beginner and River are too
Loved your reactions to Arashi! And one of the girls was spot on about F4, though! Jun Matsumoto played Domyouji, the leader of the Japanese F4! 😆 Hope you react to more of their stuff in the future! Maybe their songs for Hana Yori Dango like "Love So Sweet" and "One Love". Also their more recent stuff are pretty good, too. 😊
Im glad that they're Filipino that are open to listening to Jpop becoz i feel alone kapag nakikinig ako nito at feeling ko minomock ng ibang tao yung hilig ko dito dahil di naiintindihan. Sinasabihan ako na baliw something like that
You can peek at Arashi's recent live performances here in their official channel at UA-cam too, especially their online concerts na wala pang ibanv nakakagawa tulad ng ginawa nila 😊 mapapareact kayo doon promise!
React to Kenshi Yonezu songs, he has a pretty interesting songs and interesting story, ill recommend Kanden, Flamingo, Loser, Try Aimyon too shes one of my favourites too try Harunohi, Marigold, Kimi wa rokku na kakikanai, naked heart so much more honestly, And lastly try Hige DANdism ill recommend all because all of it so good, but my top 3 is, 115 million kilometer film, Pretender, I love, hope u react to some of these
AKB48's music video I believe is a strategy to attract more viewers and to cater to their fans which mostly are men. And this was an old music video of AKB and this was not the first time where they showed a lot of skin in their music video. Let them react to more AKB48 mv please haha! My top pick would be Love Trip!
nabasa ko sa comments ng official MV ng "Heavy Rotation" na during that time, AKB48 was not really successful and on the brink of disbandment, and the director who is a woman decided to go for that SPG-ish route to attract male listeners/viewers and it worked!!! that song topped the charts in JAPAN and sold millions during that time. thankfully they did not go back to that mv style. lmao. and the fans for that era stayed until they made more comebacks. Heavy Rotation was really the turning point of AKB48's career. HAHAHAHA grabe.
Nobody knows the story of racing through the night so I will post the explanation from someone. The video is a short story called " the temptation of thanatos" basically A man living alone in an apartment working for a ‘black company’ (a Japanese term referring to a job exploiting its workers) gets a LINE message from a woman who is his friend implying that she’s going to kill herself. He rushes home and finds her on the top of the building, standing on the edge ready to jump. He stops her and reveals this is the fourth time she’s tried this. She’s seemingly obsessed with death and constantly talking about the Grim Reaper. the narrator mentions that the Grim Reaper appears to be extremely attractive to the person thinking about them or death. Unable to take this situation, he seemingly breaks down and reveals he wants to end it all…which prompts the woman to smile. Turns out, she’s the personification of death for him. They hold hands, and appear to jump together.
The guy died at the end. The girl herself is his grim reaper. In the audio drama, after they jumped together, she told his dead body, "It is my duty to bring you to death." That was shown in the last part of the MV when she was about to kiss him. When you already know the story, the song and the mv will make more sense 😄 this song hurt me for a month 😂 ps: the audio drama is available at spotify
Would be cool to show them some alternative idol groups like BiSH, Wagamama Rakia and Lyrical School, since they're very different from your typical idol groups.
Japanese Pop is popilar in 70s and 80s with their City Pop and late 80s is the birth of J-Pop from SMAP! (1988) until 2000 and from 2000 Japan close their music industry from outside Japan (Global) to prevent 'piracy' because Japan really strict about it. thatls why J-Pop 'diseppear' but not in Japan it self. J-Pop not only kawaii concept they have many kind of pop music maybe you should take a look Bananalemon, Faky, FEMM, Happiness, Perfume, Reol, Amuro Namie... but some are already disbanned or retire.
I don't know who picked up those songs, because they came from various genre and times. Those combination is quite unique but loved these selections. Good Job!!😀
That was an interesting watch. It is always cool to watch non-jpop fans to react to JPOP because it reminds you of when you are starting to listen and follow JPOP groups/ artist. They have so many good songs. @El's Planet can you review SZ (Sexy Zone) Right Next to You and LET'S MUSIC Music videos, you can find it on Top J Records UA-cam Channel 🙏 Please we want to hear non-fans react to it too ^_^ Thanks!
Here is the AKB48's Heavy Rotation MV story because people think it was really sexual and doesn't match to the song. AKB48 experienced having low popularity on Japan before that is why they adapted the what you called "sexual things" (i don't want to call it hentai inspired haha) which is really popular in japan and to get people's attention the company and the director made it like more sexy. The girls like wearing under garments, kissing and something you really see on japanese porns even though the song is rock with bubblegum pop. This song made AKB48 more popular after River not because of the MV, it because of the song and its dance. Sorry my grammar is really off hahaha i hope u get my point.
Please check out these Jpop groups with their recent songs: (i promise you won't regret checking them out 🙏) ATARASHII GAKKO! - Freak FAKY - 99 (one of the members of FAKY, Taki, is half-Filipino btw and was an actress in PH) Ballistik Boys - Animals They're really cool too❤️
Funny how they said it sounded an anime song haha. Anime songs are so vast that it has all the genre. I wonder if they said its sounded anime cuz its japanese haha
I want to quote EL.. "it was just nice to know that there is this part of the world that has a type of music that hasn't very influence by west" - that's the reason why I'm more into JPOP than KPOP. No offence to all the KPOP fan's. It's just that almost all of the KPOP song sounds like western that they just called it KPOP because the lyrics is Korean language.
I’m sorry but y’all are so off the mark with Yoasobi’s song. Their songs are based off of novels. The lyrics are from the dude’s perspective. The girl is suppose to represent a grimreaper who leads that guy to his own death 😭

AKB48's music video I believe is a strategy to attract more viewers and to cater to their fans which mostly are men. And this was an old music video of AKB and this was not the first time where they showed a lot of skin in their music video. Let them react to more AKB48 mv please haha! My top pick would be Love Trip!
not necessarily aimed at male audiences, it just so happened that a large demographic of their fans are male fans.
@@minatoaudiph7883 uhm that's what I'm pointing out. They're catering to their fans which mostly are men.
Yass....the wholesome AKB48 song!!!
@@Qwertyuiop-ul3xb In short it's for fan service.
If there's a part 3, pls react to FAKY and E-girls 😊
nabasa ko sa comments ng official MV ng "Heavy Rotation" na during that time, AKB48 was not really successful and on the brink of disbandment, and the director who is a woman decided to go for that SPG-ish route to attract male listeners/viewers and it worked!!! that song topped the charts in JAPAN and sold millions during that time. thankfully they did not go back to that mv style. lmao. and the fans for that era stayed until they made more comebacks. Heavy Rotation was really the turning point of AKB48's career. HAHAHAHA grabe.
This should be titled "FILIPINO KPOP FANS REACT TO JPOP" 😅😌😅 same El zaka46 ota here 🥰
When she say lakas maka f4, I'm like. Well, domyoji's there, the JP version. 😂😂
I prefer you guys to react to kenshi yonezu, Official Hige Dandism, Yoasobi, Yorushika and RADWIMPS. They are all popular artists in Japan
Yesssss, I was looking for this comment
The guy died at the end. The girl herself is his grim reaper. In the audio drama, after they jumped together, she told his dead body, "It is my duty to bring you to death." That was shown in the last part of the MV when she was about to kiss him.
When you already know the story, the song and the mv will make more sense 😄 this song hurt me for a month 😂
ps: the audio drama is available at spotify
I'd love to see them react to bokutachi wa tatakawanai, it's such an odd mv but the lyrics is bomb af
EY YOW ARASHI FAN HERE MY BIAS IS MJ THE HANA YORI DANGO BAD BOY😍❤️✊
*YOASOBI*: **exists in the thumbnail**
🖱️**clicks**
Please also have a reaction to the songs like Koisuru Fortune Cookie and river in different 48G MVs
2nd part na sana agad haha
Keyakizaka46 naman sana next
Pero yun nga, nakakatawa reactions nila nung nasa AKB na haha
Silent Majority sana huhu fave ko yun
TUYU, ZUTOMAYO, YORUSHIKA next
Upvote nyo
GOGOGO GOOD PICKS
E ve, Aimer, LiSA, Ado, and other JPop artists too.
Serious question folks, why is it when western/westernized women do sexy stuff it's "empowering", but when it's not it's "unsettling".
Conflict of culture, stereotype?
please more reaction to jpop, here's some jpop group they can react, these groups are popular nowadays:
- NANIWA DANSHI
- SNOW MAN
- KING & PRINCE
When I saw ARASHI.. I cried.... 😭😭😭😭 I miss them so much..
I hope you can make reaction videos for Sakamichi Groups too, in the future! esp Keyakizaka/Sakurazaka46♥️
Bakit walang nakakaalam na si MatsuJun from Arashi is bida sa Hana Yori Dango 😂
binasa dapat nila yung temptation of thanatos para mas maintindihan nila yung meaning ng racing into the night
I became a jpop fan because of pd48 and mnl48.
HEAVY ROTATION MASTERPIECE 🔥
can't deny HEAVY ROTATION IS CATCHYYYY
FYI Faky and Atarashii Gakko! have a lot of Filipino fans
I'm fan of Faky also because of Taki.. And Atarashii fun and entertainment especially Suzuka
@@astromon11 im a firm believer in Suzuka Supremacy
Would be cool to show them some alternative idol groups like BiSH, Wagamama Rakia and Lyrical School, since they're very different from your typical idol groups.
I see arashi, I click
omg try letting them react to all 48 sister groups!!!!!
I applaud the bravery. Not everyone is brave enough to stand infront of japanese copyright haha
I knew it they would react like that in Heavy Rotation.
日本も1つ間違えば 英語が公用語に成って居た、と思うと「ゾッと」しますね。
Love Arashi!
Japanese Pop is popilar in 70s and 80s with their City Pop and late 80s is the birth of J-Pop from SMAP! (1988) until 2000
and from 2000 Japan close their music industry from outside Japan (Global) to prevent 'piracy' because Japan really strict about it.
thatls why J-Pop 'diseppear' but not in Japan it self. J-Pop not only kawaii concept they have many kind of pop music maybe you should
take a look Bananalemon, Faky, FEMM, Happiness, Perfume, Reol, Amuro Namie... but some are already disbanned or retire.
The second song is about a boy saving a suicidal girl
That's ARASHI for the world..
I don't know who picked up those songs, because they came from various genre and times. Those combination is quite unique but loved these selections. Good Job!!😀
Now if you can watch their latest videos for the part two.
Sabi ko na eh. Magugulat sila sa heavy rotation mv. Hahahahahahahaha. I love their reaction anyways.
This why ilke Els Planet.... More JPOP I hope you can react also to EXILE TRIBE....
I can’t with their reaction to heavy rotation MV.
凄く新鮮な気持ちで見てて楽しかったです!Ado、女王蜂、マキシマム ザ ホルモン聴いたらどんな反応するか興味があります😄
Let them react to other AKB MV's cause they need to redeem themselves😭
OM YES! but finakly found my twin!
Jusko....Kuya El pa-react mo naman yung Teacher Teacher ng AKB48😏😁😁 or Sustainable 😍😘 or the full of wholesomeness,Love Trip MV...💖💖
Please check out these Jpop groups with their recent songs: (i promise you won't regret checking them out 🙏)
ATARASHII GAKKO! - Freak
FAKY - 99
(one of the members of FAKY, Taki, is half-Filipino btw and was an actress in PH)
Ballistik Boys - Animals
They're really cool too❤️
FAKY and ATARASHII GAKKO are girl groups btw.. and their music is not the usual music you hear in other gg in Japan..
try Ado's Usseewa, Yoasobi's Yashashii Suisei and Minami's Crying for rain. Akb48's Bokutachi wa tatakanai for a story like MV.
Funny how they said it sounded an anime song haha. Anime songs are so vast that it has all the genre. I wonder if they said its sounded anime cuz its japanese haha
I love all Arashi songs
I want to quote EL..
"it was just nice to know that there is this part of the world that has a type of music that hasn't very influence by west"
- that's the reason why I'm more into JPOP than KPOP. No offence to all the KPOP fan's. It's just that almost all of the KPOP song sounds like western that they just called it KPOP because the lyrics is Korean language.
Here for ARASHI and AKB48
tiana & clara look so good 🥺🤍🤍 loved the vid!!!
FILIPINOS REACT TO MNL48'S ALL MUSIC VIDEOS! I THINK THAT IS FUN!
love this kind of video.
Omg the opening songggg it my fav now. I’ve memorized it na. It’s good beat with dark message lol
Hello, can you made them react from the scene "Ang sa iyo ay akin #WarOfTheCentury "
I’m sorry but y’all are so off the mark with Yoasobi’s song. Their songs are based off of novels. The lyrics are from the dude’s perspective. The girl is suppose to represent a grimreaper who leads that guy to his own death 😭
