💜 To save time we had to cut out the scenes explaining what J-pop is and its origins, as well as the scenes giving information on the songs and the J-pop artists featured. Only a few clips were able to make it in the final edit and were merged into the lyrics reading segment. Here’s the information given to those reacting in full! Welcome to the world of Japanese pop aka J-POP! Japan has had “idol” groups with origins dating back to the 1960s-1970s. Its known peak however, was in the 90s with idol groups such as SMAP, ARASHI, and more which has also greatly influenced other East Asian countries (Most notably South Korea, and Taiwan) and their own idol-group industries. The songs featured today are various songs from the new faces of today’s generation of J-pop. This new era of J-pop is known for targeting a more global market with their music and content by making their music videos, songs, and shows more readily available through digital means such as UA-cam or music streaming services (Which is not as common in the Japanese music market). *Nogizaka46 - Sing Out* - Nogizaka46 is a Japanese female idol group created as the official rival of the group AKB48 produced by Yasushi Akimoto (Creator of 48 & 46 groups). They are the first group from the Sakamichi Series, which also includes sister groups Keyakizaka46, Yoshimotozaka46, and Hinatazaka46. "Sing Out!" is their 23rd single and was released on May 29, 2019. It reached number-one on the weekly Oricon Singles Chart with 1,004,000 copies sold and was also number-one on the Billboard Japan Hot 100. *Reol - THE SIXTH SENSE* - Reol (Pronounced as “Re-oh-ru”) is a Japanese singer, songwriter, record producer, and rapper. She is a former member of J-pop group REOL and is currently a solo artist. The title THE SIXTH SENSE (第六感, Dairokkan) is a wordplay in itself. The song is used for Japan’s BOAT RACE 2020 (Like F1 car racing but for boats), it’s referencing how the races have 6 lanes, and how in racing people bet on who they want to win. The word “Kan” in the title can mean “sense”, and “intuition”- like gambling intuition. Reol mentioned that there are other word plays in the song itself. *SixTONES - Navigator* - SixTONES (pronounced "Stones") is a Japanese idol boy band formed by Johnny & Associates in 2015 (They are labelmates with legendary J-pop groups such as SMAP, and Arashi) they made their official debut 5 years later last January 22, 2020 with the single entitled Imitation Rain which was later followed-up by Navigator, both singles have topped the charts in Japan with the former having 1.7 million sales. Navigator is the opening song to to the anime “The Millionaire Detective Balance: Unlimited” SixTONES together with SnowMan (both debuted simultaneously) are the first J-pop group from Johnny’s & Associates to have a UA-cam channel. Aside from music videos, and dance practices (which are almost never revealed/uploaded online in the J-pop industry), variety show and vlog-like videos have been uploaded with English subtitles.

As a Filipino, I really like JP's music scene. I mean they have a lot of great artists from different genres (ranging from the vocaloid/utaite community, rock, even the idol industry, etc.). Such diversity indeed.

I think almost everyone reacted the same way to Jesse's "pitched up" bcos of how it actually sounds 😂 NAVIGATOR is a great song but the one song that made me a hardcore Team SixTONES is their debut song, Imitation Rain. It's a rock ballad kinda song that showcases the members' beautiful vocals. Their third single, an op song for highly anticipated anime Hanyo no Yashahime is a marriage of modern and traditional Japanese music. Check it out guys, you'll love it.
There are actually sooo many Jpop Filipino fans. Jpop is just not mainstream so people don't notice. 😂 Thank you for reacting to SixTONES! Allow me to recommend Official HIGE DANdism. 😊💗

I know I'm late but thank you for reacting to Nogizaka46! They're only second to Keyaki when it comes to my favorite jpop groups. One of the things that I love about them is that their lyrics tend to be very meaningful and relatable. I also really really love the sound of their vocals, like people singing together but there's still one distinct/dominant voice that you'd always hear. It has some magic on me. P.S. My all-time favorite song of them is "You don't have to be strong until dawn" (just english translation of the title bcs the original is kinda long), it's so good!
Thank you for picking up SixTONES ! This is a cool dance and good singing! However, the story is so funny that it makes me laugh. Check out their UA-cam to see it ASAP !
Thank you for reacting to SixTones! Also I agree, being a J-Pop fans in the past is so hard, I want to listen to my favourite idol's music, but finding it online for free is so hard!
I'm a Filipino and I'm so glad my fellow kababayans are discovering jpop haha, jpop is really underrated but once you get into it, it's hard to get out 😂💗
I guess because of the pandemic, Japan Music Industry is now turning their heads toward digital releases... slowly but surely. Since they can’t do mass gatherings like before, physical sales is greatly affected by it.
46g fan here. Getting to know all those members didn't feel so hard thanks to their weekly variety shows but it's so worth it because of their personalities and some are just full on crack
Kung nasali sana dito yung Keyakizaka46, especially yung darker songs nila like yung latest who will ring the bell. It's a total cultural reset talaga. HAHA
sana haha kaso same management parin ata hehe nung nawala sa techi nawala rin ng impact hmmm, kayekitte parin ba name ng show nila ? or end na then magbabago? haha
I first encountered Nogizaka46 when they sang a Naruto Opening. I started to stan them when I saw their Mouse commercial and discovered their godlike visuals, kinda snowballed from there. I started jamming to their songs while taking a shower and cried at senbatsu and everytime a member graduates just like when my oshimen, Nishino, did. I hope they get more recognition, they are definitely a worthy rival for AKB48. They are also funny af, anyone who's interested should check them out in their TV shows as well. And also watch the Live action of Grand Blue,Yuuki will play as Chisa!
Please, please do a FAKY reaction next. They have been releasing BOP after BOP. May I suggest reacting to little more? It's so catchy and their outfits are 🔥
I'm a fan of Johnny's groups for 11 yrs now. Love your reaction! Jpop is always refreshing especially bc there is always a lot of songs/genres to choose from. You just need to know where to find them tho which might be difficult at first but you actually get the hang of it 😉
omg sixtones yawaaaaaa jesse bebe ko may bago sila ngayon eh! emeygeeeeddd I really love sixtones and I discover them in FKB unlimited dahil sa OP song navigator tas yung part ni jesse PITCHED up! asdfghjjkl😍😍😍💕💕
Peace ✌😁
To be a honest, I have a lot of old songs of Namie Amuro, w-inds, Perfume, Koda Kumi, etc.
I know the song navigator by sixtones through the recent anime detective millionaire: balance unlimited😍. But I haven't seen the MV so I'll watch it now😅.
You for showing an OT5 Pic of BIGBANG at 18:03
Just in case someone's wondering... Nogizaka46 and other 46 groups don't have 46 members just like how AKB48 and other 48 groups don't have 48 members. The numbers on the groups' name means something, not the number of members, just like NCT 127 and Seventeen.
The reason behind AKB "48", it refers to the name of the group's President's office; "office48". While in Nogizaka46 Yasushi Akimoto (Aki-P) , "46" was named in the sense of "the will not lose even if the number of people is less than AKB48".
I hope you could react next to GENERATIONS FROM EXILE TRIBE, SEXY ZONE, Faky (👈 All those 3 groups ay may Filipino-Japanese members), SKE48, HKT48 AND KEYAKIZAKA46 or Hinatazaka46 Thanks El for this ☺️
I really enjoyed this so much, I like that they first watched the video and then read the lyrics to really understand the meaning. One of the dozens of reasons I like Jpop so much is the meaning in the lyrics, how deep they can get to be that they just hit you hard, also what the guy said in 8:28, is like they´re telling a story. With their dancing 12:57, Jpop indeed is not as strict but they dances are really good and I see them more like artistic, beautiful and harmonious, of course this differs from group to group. AND!!! 13:24, I just love how rock influences their music, you could have the cutest idol group and they would still have a badass rock song or a cute rock song. Jpop has so much variety, it could be awesome to listen a little bit of everything: *Singers like Kenshi Yonezou, Gen Hoshino, Sanari, Taichi Mukai, Sakurashimeji, SHACHI. *Idols like Magic Prince, Super Dragon, Flowback, One N´Only, Madkid, Super Fantasy, Exil Tribe groups (not really idols). *Anti-idols like BiSH, Momoiro Clover Z. *Rock bands like The Brown Beat, Super Beaver, Spyair, Man with a mission, Sekai no Owari, Bump of Chicken, Official HigedanDism. *Visual Kei bands (a whole new world of rock bands) DaizyStripper, Royz, DIV, Alice Nine, Antic Café, Codomo Dragon, D=Out, UNiTE., Leetspeak monsters, Zero[Hz]. *Utaites like Amatsuki, MafuMafu, Piko, Soraru, Eve, Luz. *Odorites groups turn into idols (I feel they have a different vibe from the normal idols) Mesemoa/Musumen, *ChocoLate Bomb!!, PandaDragon, Share Lock Homes. ONE THING: It would be good to explain how the jpop idol groups work, for example the center position concept.
Wow! As a Filipino, J-pop is surprisingly nice to listen to and It's my first time to hear all of that songs. By the way, I love the Demon Slayer soundtrack Kimetsu no Yaiba. I always play that on my phone. Anyways, I will gonna rewatch the SixTONES MV again. Ciao!

OMG SixTONES!! Thank you so much for reacting their song!!!
Thank you for picking up SixTONES !
This is a cool dance and good singing!
However, the story is so funny that it makes me laugh.
Check out their UA-cam to see it ASAP !

Welcome to the community 😍😍
Thank you for reacting to SixTones! Also I agree, being a J-Pop fans in the past is so hard, I want to listen to my favourite idol's music, but finding it online for free is so hard!
As someone who loves Japanese culture~ I’m so happy~ It’s weeb time!
I love SixTONES🥰
I'm a Filipino and I'm so glad my fellow kababayans are discovering jpop haha, jpop is really underrated but once you get into it, it's hard to get out 😂💗
This is the best Filipino Jpop reaction. Because in general they are just hating on it.
From a Filipino Jpop fan.
I guess because of the pandemic, Japan Music Industry is now turning their heads toward digital releases... slowly but surely. Since they can’t do mass gatherings like before, physical sales is greatly affected by it.
Considering SnowMan's latest single that sold almost a million for the first week, I don't think physical sales is in decline YET.
1:40 she is the center ("Asuka Saito") so that she is always in the center hehe
AKB48 belongs to 48G and Nogizaka46 goes to 46G.
Slow clap to 48g and 46g stans out there, imagine stanning a group composed of 1k members bruh!😆
46g fan here. Getting to know all those members didn't feel so hard thanks to their weekly variety shows but it's so worth it because of their personalities and some are just full on crack
as nogiwota and team SixTONES... thankyou !!! the video help to promote them ❤️👍
I'M IMAGINING DAISUKE WALKING WITH MONEY FALLING! WHILE HEARING NAVIGATOR
Thank you for introducing Japan (J-POP) to foreigners!😭❤️

Gracias por reaccionar a SixTONES 💎
Kung nasali sana dito yung Keyakizaka46, especially yung darker songs nila like yung latest who will ring the bell. It's a total cultural reset talaga. HAHA
Silent Majority sanaaaa.. not a big fan of keyaki pero yon at yung Kuroi Hitsuji just hits
I am the girl fangirling over Hokuto when I first found out about them. Thank you for this 💕
I first encountered Nogizaka46 when they sang a Naruto Opening.
Rather watch Eizouken over Grandblue
@@halyup why not both
@@aimar2122 i dont like Yoda
I prefer Mizuki , Shiori , Ume , Momo , Renka and Tamami
@@halyup fair enough, It's your preference. I myself have no one i dislike in the group, just a bunch of favorites
You just need to know where to find them tho which might be difficult at first but you actually get the hang of it 😉
ARASHI

SixTONES!!!!!!
When I heard Navigator being played in the video, my mind drifted to Fugou Keiji Balance: UNLIMITED and I imagine the anime opening 😂
1:17 yep lahat yan members, di pa kasama ung mga members na grumaduate from the group throughout 2011 ~ 2019
thank you ! I love SixTONES.
SixTONES😭❤️
Please react to "little more" by FAKY, the song is really good!
PS: Taki (one of the members) grew up and was an actress in the Philippines
You guys need to react to SixTONES latest single NEW ERA, thank you 🤗
Peace ✌😁
To be a honest, I have a lot of old songs of Namie Amuro, w-inds, Perfume, Koda Kumi, etc.
I'm simple girl I see sixtones I click 😂💓
Thank you for appreciating Jpop. More power with your channel!
Not really a Jpop but I hope you listen to “Hakujitsu” or “白日” by King Gnu~ It’s really a good song
By the way, the number in the name doesn’t always represent the number of members. This is me after watching AKB48 in Asia Song Festival.
oooh, thanks for clarifying!
I know the song navigator by sixtones through the recent anime detective millionaire: balance unlimited😍. But I haven't seen the MV so I'll watch it now😅.
Im into jpop this days. Alot of japanese song are really good❤️❤️❤️
Official fanclub member here 👋
Edit: BTW Thank You for showing an OT5 Pic of BIGBANG at 18:03
To ate gurl that was thirsting over Hokuto, I feel you 😂
Just in case someone's wondering...
While in Nogizaka46 Yasushi Akimoto (Aki-P) , "46" was named in the sense of "the will not lose even if the number of people is less than AKB48".
what you guys think abt SixTONES voice members
SixTONES〜🥰🥰
Thank you for reactinh SixTONES, after navigator they will realese new single called new era
OMG YOU GUYS REACTED TO SING OUT😭😭😭 THANK YOU
I hope you could react next to GENERATIONS FROM EXILE TRIBE, SEXY ZONE, Faky (👈 All those 3 groups ay may Filipino-Japanese members), SKE48, HKT48 AND KEYAKIZAKA46 or Hinatazaka46 Thanks El for this ☺️
9:58 The Sixsense was used in the commercial about boat race☺️
Fun fact: the slope of the Nogizaka's triangle logo slants at an angle of 46 degrees
SixTONES🥺♡♡
Jpop has so much variety, it could be awesome to listen a little bit of everything:
*Singers like Kenshi Yonezou, Gen Hoshino, Sanari, Taichi Mukai, Sakurashimeji, SHACHI.
Ciao!
