OCD thoughts can be recognised easily because it uses similar tricks . The problem is not really the thought it is the underlying fear and the crippling anxiety
@@chaitalithakurr OCD is an anxiety disorder, the only way to get rid of OCD is to learn how to cope with the anxiety which is really the problem here… false memories or whatever type of OCD those are just symptoms…. You must stop focusing on the symptoms and deal with the real problem behind those symptoms which is the anxiety the moment you try to figure out the memory or thought that’s where OCD raises questions like what if and the best way is to not answer those questions and it will go away
That's the essence of it managing that anxiety curve what goes up must come down. Sometimes it only goes up to two out of ten sometimes to nine and maxes out at ten but it does go down. Me personally I pray and I swear God takes it away so much so that later on I think what was I worried about, that triggers the thought/feeling again but faith keeps me grounded. I believe God has led me to Ali Greymond.
Hi, great to hear you're a Christian, I dont say this to judge or condemn but as a brother in Christ :) Jesus told us not to swear so please dont swear 😄😄❤
Medication!!! In this case talking to a doctor will help you to feel more alive! And so you can start to recover! Really, i do that and it helps me a lot. Go see a doctor
Ali Greemond you are the reason I am recovering! Every video is a breathe of fresh air that keeps me pressing on. Does extreme anxiety associated with minor imperfections in my house sound like OCD? Even if its small like walls that are perfectly smooth or making sure everything looks perfect. There is millions of things that harass me every moment and the urgency to fix or make it perfect is exhausting.
Can you do a video explaining why sometimes you don’t want the OCD thought to go away? Sometimes I find myself scared that it will go away becuase I find it important, even though I hate it and it makes me miserable. So confusing.
Same! I feel like if my OCD thoughts go away I will get infected by something or loose someone that I love etc. and I feel like my OCD thoughts are protecting me from those dangerous situations so I do not want them to go away.
Hey if you need any help let me know I am there to help you out. I was in the same phase but now I am completely recovered. Don't worry you will recover, I promise that
First of all don't worry, I know it's actually next to impossible to not worry when you have ocd but remember it has a cure and I assure you will also recover , no matter what your current situation is
What if it is my true self, I had a terrible thought that was like I wanted to have those intrusive thoughts in my dreams and have them or enjoy them without guilt. The fuck, it felt like my true self. It's like I want that
I REALLY wanna know how one can stop oneself from ending up in the "rumination trap" by "normal everyday worries" such as about income, bills, unemployedness, health stuff, relationship struggles and so on and so on. All these things are "normal" to get worried about and the normal way of dealing with them seems to be the CBT approach which means like "solving them" you know? Writing lists and thinking about pros and cons and so on and so on, but in my case, these actions ALWAYS just leads me to more worrying and more rumination and I never seem to be able to shake things off, even after I have tried to solve them. They keep on worrying me. So I feel like this might be OCD's way of bringing me back to my compulsion, e.g rumination. What do you think about that and what should a person with OCD who also intermittently has the typical "scary OCD" thoughts, do about these ordinary thoughts that still worry you too much?
hey can anyone answer this.. I am on almost no rumination from last 5-6 days .. how long before the general anxiety feeling goes away. the sadness. I am asking here since I have stopped googling and reading about ocd online..
@@freedomfighter9976 yes. It sure works. Had 2 short setbacks but working smarter and harder now. It’s the only way. The loud ocd thoughts have become quieter. Something I can reject easier now. This will surely work. Get on it.
Maybe different for everyone,, you know..possibly it may go away also possibly it may last long or longer but I'm sure it would eventually have to stop anxiety at some point I guess it's like they said " the more value you give it the more iits gonna bother you"
i can disregard , but if my thinking stay the same and i still think its true so i will be stuck with the problem all my life, i cant just repress all my life and live like this i dont think in my opinion that its good solution to the long term without change my thinking and understand what is true and what not and why

I have ocd statements using the “I” like “im not a girl.” It’s pretty scary and it feels real, but I know it’s not!
What to do when ocd turns into depression..like you have zero energy and you're kind of starting to lose hope
Same we have to go against what it wants us to do it’s a bully stand up to it

@@freedomfighter9976 totally agree! It's just a symptom. Doing the complete opposite of what it says is key. It's just a trap like Ali says!

Do these thoughts often come in multiple ways? Like a thought and a sensation, or a sensation and an idea?
Edit: *come in together at the same time
But, how do you know if you have ocd?
