Ali is the best. The strategies she recommends have given me my life back.
Hard to believe that there are actually people that don't feel high anxiety.
It depends. I, myself, don't get that much anxiety anymore, but that's because I've come a long way, then I did when I first got OCD. I started getting intrusive thoughts when I was a child, got help, etc., but I developed it again a year ago. At first, I didn't know what it was, so I ruminated, had anxiety, did compulsions, etc. up to 10 hours a day. Later on, I got a UA-cam video recommended with Ali in it, and I pressed on it, without knowing it was all OCD. I cried because I finally understood what it was. After getting help, learning about the disorder, so I could/can recognize it, etc., I don't feel as much anxiety as I once did. Actually, there will be days, where I don't feel anxiety at all, because I've learned to recognize OCD, and I don't ruminate that much anymore as I once did. I've gone to 10 hours of OCD a day to 30 minutes to the maximum of 3 hours. This didn't happen over a day, of course, but it is possible.
@@shreksboi2790 same with me brother i had ocd since childhood but now i recognize it my anxiety is very low then before thoughts are still there not giving me much anxiety but they are annoying.
@@badcpy5430 Yep, indeed. I hope you'll one day beat this disorder, as I hope everyone does with OCD.
@@badcpy5430 which type of thought come in ur mind
Absolutely! When I'm on a particular theme the previous one simply doesn't matter!
Yes
Same. I've been through health ocd, harm ocd, counting ocd and not one feels like a real threat when the next one comes.
@@megjohnson7184 same here! Every single time the theme changes, non of the other ones matter or feel like a big deal anymore
I try to remember this when I'm having a hard time. Like "remember that one theme/thought/etc it seemed like the end of the world, worst thing on earth, now it doesn't matter"
I can't stop googling symptoms 😫 I want to stop but I keep thinking but what if something is really wrong with me? But I'm too scared to go to the dr. Its so debilitating.
This is 100% me
just say if i have it it is what it is and just let yourself feel anxious , dont google shit
You deserve nothing except happiness in life!! Thank you so much for making these amazing videos❤
Another great video. Your videos have helped me tremendsouly. Thank you a lot!! :-)
Thank you so much for these videos as they have helped me greatly.
To me tracking how long the ocd feelings last doesn’t make sense because my goal is to get the ocd feelings to be as intense as possible and to last as long as possible because the longer they last, the more exposure I can do, and the less power they will have over me. Also tracking how long they last will lead to me obsess about how long they are *really lasting* if you now what I mean.
Also, timing them puts pressure on me and literally can quickly become my compulsion.
Love you Ali , God will bless you for the help to the human beings you give on a daily basis. Thanks
I needed this today 🤍 I thank God for guiding me to your videos.
Thank you Ali Greymond ..
One of my favourite UA-cam videos. Thank you Ali.
I have a tendency to wait until I'm less anxious to start ruminating and trying to figure it out again and then it still feels real and makes me get super anxious all over again. is that normal for it to still feel real even when the anxiety goes down and I re-check?
Personally, I think so. Cause ocd will go towards anything to get you back into it.
YES YES YES. it 109% can feel real without anxiety, you kind of panic that you aren’t panicking about it
I have gone through this several times, even today, and I would panic when it feels real and I even believe in it. But, when checking again it feels uncertain all over again.
My consequence is just great, I still continue ERP now to free myself entirely... Thanks for all that information, you made me go from hell ❤️!
What tecnique follow if harm toughts coming in night?....i need it
What do..That thought say not to sleep?
@@konjamtrypannuvom5748 Just accept feelings and block more reactions!
@@konjamtrypannuvom5748 Okey I won’t.. I accept this thought as neighbour screaming outside and try my best to sleep(blocking any further reaction)
My ocd thoughts keep getting worse before bed, as soon as I close my eyes I just get loads of images. I’m disregarding them but it’s seriously affecting my sleep. During the day I’m disregarding all the thoughts from ocd
I think it's just because you are more tired, so it's all normal, I'm in your same situation, just, keep going and don't worry about it ✨
same when you wake up too when resting 😣😕
How are you doing now?
CURE FOR HOCD:Therapy and no more porn trust me this is the cure I did it and done within 1 month and even when you recover don’t go back to porn it’ll come back
This works ? 😳 like nothing at all
@@ivory-zv8gd this worked you need hope for yourself
@@dirkthehero6447 you recover buddy ? Even in my hocd i watched porn will i see significant relief after quit porn?
@@badcpy5430 yup you’ll see a change in a week even when you recover don’t ever watch it agin it can ruin your social skills and more and may make HOCD come back worser then ever
@@dirkthehero6447 so brother you are completly recover?
Thanks for the video !!! You’re helping me a lot !
Don’t know where I would be without you ❤
PLEASE! Can you make another video on sleep ocd. I have a fear of not falling asleep or getting enough sleep. It scares me every night and I just can’t get over it. I have to watch ur old videos to help me every day but plz make more please
What video ?...i need that
Im also suffer the same like u bro...if u get any tecnique ..plzz inform
How are you now. I have same thing. Did you get over it.
@@konjamtrypannuvom5748 did you find something that works as I’m going through this too
@@queenofhearts7507 were you able to overcome that? I’m struggling right now
I really needed you. Thank you.
What if someone is not taking any step towards recovery ,just sitting and worrying all day and letting it get worse
it will get worse , but your stronger than thought come on your a human being u wont be bettwn by ocd u got this do the work
@@antiresistance but how to encourage others to take actions when they think I am talking all crap
But it feels so real
The saviour
Guys, is it still OCD if it ask you of kinda obligate yourself to act on the thought? For example, if your probably OCD, let's say, harm ocd, ask you that you actually MUST or that you HAVE (in a obligatory way) to act on the thought, (for example, if it says: "you have to/must commit suicide!") is it still OCD? (Also, sorry for my bad english) :(
Yep, it's all just OCD doesn't matter how a thought is worded it's all the same. I get things like that quite often too
@@silvershadow4437 thank you so much for you response 💕
What if your ocd is based on something real or something someone told you who themselves thinks it’s real? Like religion...
Same here but it's not related to religion
My Gp has asked me to consider TMS therapy. Do you have any thoughts on this treatment?
Thank you sincerely.
