    Hard to believe that there are actually people that don't feel high anxiety.

    • @shreksboi2790
      @shreksboi2790 3 роки тому +11

      It depends. I, myself, don't get that much anxiety anymore, but that's because I've come a long way, then I did when I first got OCD. I started getting intrusive thoughts when I was a child, got help, etc., but I developed it again a year ago. At first, I didn't know what it was, so I ruminated, had anxiety, did compulsions, etc. up to 10 hours a day. Later on, I got a UA-cam video recommended with Ali in it, and I pressed on it, without knowing it was all OCD. I cried because I finally understood what it was. After getting help, learning about the disorder, so I could/can recognize it, etc., I don't feel as much anxiety as I once did. Actually, there will be days, where I don't feel anxiety at all, because I've learned to recognize OCD, and I don't ruminate that much anymore as I once did. I've gone to 10 hours of OCD a day to 30 minutes to the maximum of 3 hours. This didn't happen over a day, of course, but it is possible.

    Thank you so much for these videos as they have helped me greatly.
    To me tracking how long the ocd feelings last doesn’t make sense because my goal is to get the ocd feelings to be as intense as possible and to last as long as possible because the longer they last, the more exposure I can do, and the less power they will have over me. Also tracking how long they last will lead to me obsess about how long they are *really lasting* if you now what I mean.

      Also, timing them puts pressure on me and literally can quickly become my compulsion.

    I have a tendency to wait until I'm less anxious to start ruminating and trying to figure it out again and then it still feels real and makes me get super anxious all over again. is that normal for it to still feel real even when the anxiety goes down and I re-check?

For example, if your probably OCD, let's say, harm ocd, ask you that you actually MUST or that you HAVE (in a obligatory way) to act on the thought, (for example, if it says: "you have to/must commit suicide!") is it still OCD?
