When you consider how long the concert was and the last day and the last song, working man was perfect in every way. And they weren't spring chicken's, awesome.
In Los Angeles? Wow, I guess you're right. But technically, when Geddy and Alex played at the Taylor Hawkins tribute recently, they were still considered "Rush." But yeah, that was the last thing they formally did together as the trio everyone considers to be the band.
When you consider just how great this show was and how many incredible songs they played it creates a little perspective because there are so many other awesome songs that didn’t get played.
It's been such a long time since I've watched Rio, I forgot just how amazing this concert DVD is! This set list is premium Rush...including the newer material.
watching them do this live and how 3 separate parts diverge then come back is awesome. Alex always brought it heavy on this song and Geddy just has fun. Neil, this not being one that he helped write, still kills it and embellishes all at right time.
Just started watching, and already know this will awesome. [EDIT] Yeh, it smoked. Ged's wicked rundown solo right into the pocket with Neil, priceless. 🤘😜
It reminds me of Iron Maiden, the Trooper, always has, 30 years ago I heard it. Listen to the beginning of The Trooper, then come back to this, crazy really.
Not this concert of course but the last song they every played live and the song that broke them. It will always be up there as one of my favorites. When they were asked how they decided on their last song if I remember right they said there was only one song they could play. Working Man.
Almost missed this. Totally bitchin' version. You've heard of Room 335 (Larry Carlton). Alex turned that place into Room 345. Godlike playing and tone. His solo in this song not only held up over the decades, it got better and better. Loved Neil's Deen Castronovo fills during the solo and elsewhere. Neil was Deen's favorite, so full circle. Send 'em home happy - exactly what they did. Rippin'.
Yeah and again that’s why I’m pissed that the 40th Anniversary set of Signals does not include a full show from that tour! My memory of that is they played everything of it except for Losing It and Countdown for obvious reasons! No Ben Mink to play violin 🎻 on Losing It and Countdown too big of a production at that point in their career
I agree. I'd like to buy it despite the prohibitive cost, but I'm hesitating because of a lack of a live recording. I'll still probably end up buying it because I adore the album so much.
Very cool to follow your "odyssey" through the show! At that time Geddy's voice still allowed to sing this song in the right key. In the last years of the band his voice declined a lot. Regrettably...
Geddy hammering away and he had tendonitis in one of those fingers. Warrior!
The song that started it all……it never gets old.🔥🤘🏻
Been a very long time since ive heard/watched this concert, so thank you for that! Very happy with Ged's voice during this show as well.

Can't think of a better way to close out a Rush concert. Pure 🔥🔥🔥. Thank you Justin
Working Man was the last song that Rush played live at the very last gig, in August 1, 2015. Then you start to hear this song differently

Perfect song to bring this show to a close.
Such an awesome event that show was. Sadly, they never went back but that will be cherished forever....
They played Rio (though not this stadium) on the Time Machine Tour in 2010
@@LeviRamsey Yikes. My Rush knowledge is pretty solid but that escaped me. Thnx for the correction!

The DVD menu transitions are some of the best for any DVD (movie or music). Kudos to that DVD production team, and the concept

Working Man and Vital Signs excellent songs all the time everytime!
Loved this!! What an excellent concert!! Be well and God bless.. from Texas!!!
So this really looks like it's lining up for Snakes and Arrows to start on May 1st the day it was released in 2007. Nice work there Justin🤘
Signals is my favorite Rush album, it would be nice if they did Subdivisions.
i've heard people say that this is Geddy's favorite song to play live. and it shows!
Just started watching, and already know this will awesome. [EDIT] Yeh, it smoked. Ged's wicked rundown solo right into the pocket with Neil, priceless. 🤘😜
Justin says Yeah Gary’s right: 74-82 is SUPERIOR!!!
Justin (NEIL ON THOSE DOUBLE PEDALS ) Panariello!
Neil Peart says: I’m not John Rutsey so I WILL ADD FLOURISHES TO THIS DRUM 🥁 PART 😛😛😛😜😜😜😝😝😝🤪🤪🤪😎😎😎🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Can't wait for Justin's reaction to Black Sabbath. That first album is one of my all time favorites.

EPIC version, but my fave version from ATWAS. Alex always has monster tone on this song.
Wait until you do R30. It's even better imo. And this was awesome
…AND OF COURSE IM INTO CINDERELLA MAN BECAUSE ITS THE GREATEST SONG IN THE UNIVERSE 😝😝😝🤪🤪🤪😜😜😜😛😛😛😎😎😎🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Mega gig has ended 😢
RUSH THE NEW BLACK SABBATH???? NOPE!😛😛😛😜😜😜😝😝😝🤪🤪🤪
Surprised you don't really like that first album, it all sounds a lot like Working Man, straightforward rock
