I bought a hot pink maxi dress a few years ago and my daughter told me that I looked like a pink highlighter 😏lol. Get well soon! I know that a lot of people don't agree with wearing a face mask but I faithfully wear a mask when I am out in public because I have too much to do to be sick. Plus I really despise getting ill. So far my me made Olson masks have worked for me.

I enjoy you showing us the places and the fabric places that you visit. I'm an American that is in Norway and it seems like everywhere there are knitting shops and people knitting shops, some fabric but not so much and the colors they have are just what is in style for the coming seasons. This yesr is seems to be golds and mustard colors for the more part so far, and I'm very fair so these colors don't do a thing for me, so I end up doing most of my fabric shopping online. I hope you feel better soon!

I made a super cute pink/white gingham shift dress a month before the Barbie movie. So now I feel embarrassed to wear it in case people think i made it in honor of the Barbie movie! I did play with Barbies with my sisters growing up. Wonderful memories!

To make matters worse, my parents called me Barby as soon as I was born (short for Barbara) and the doll came out when I was about 6. I never really liked her because all of a sudden, people were calling me Barbie Doll and I was here first! 😂
Take it easy, Karina, you need to look after your health first, it's the most important asset you have! The video was lovely, I am a great fan of "fabric tourism" too! Then every time I wear a garment I remember where I bought the fabric, and it gives it an extra dimension 😊 The pink fabric is gorgeous, wear it with pride, never mind what other people may be doing or saying, you can't let them control your life or your wardrobe choices! Karina we have had a dreadful sunless summer so far. It's been so overcast and dank we have mushrooms growing all over the lawn. I've bought loads of fabric to cheer myself up. 6 metres of this is pink. I'm going to buy orange lenz glasses to mimic the sun. It worked when I was a kid. ❤

My sewing journey began with sewing outfits for my Barbie doll ! I had a little metal Brother machine and mom gave me her fabric scraps. She sewed/smocked all the dresses for my sis and me. So funny about the pink. No burning desire to see the movie. Take care and feel better soon!

Pink has been my favorite (single) color for ever. Single color meaning as a stand alone color. Pink and white, pink and green, and pink and black are favorite combos. I also like reds with white. Never heard of the Barbie movie since I do not care to waste brain energy and time on such silly things. I will be showcasing some of my makes in a few weeks at a farmers market event and the outfit I made a few months back is pink and black. Recently purchased fabric for the boyfriend cardigan that is black with pink flowers, lol. Surprisingly though, I have very little pink in my wardrobe. That means I need more. Oh and btw Karina, get yourself some local honey and fresh ginger. Shred the ginger into the honey and cook until simmering. Put into a jar and use as an anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial elixir. One teaspoon a day keeps the bad bacterial bugs away.

I laughed out loud several times and my son had to come investigate what was so funny! Got my LN Feature Friday with the link. I'm thinking that the lining shorts from the Tinley pattern would do nicely under a shorter version of Ravinia. I ususally make all of my skirts midi length because knee length and above just make me feel like I'll show something if the wind catches my skirt. But if I added the Tinley lining that would probably be perfect (but a project for a later date). Hope you feel better soon!💕

The music is in a very small percentage of the whole video. I lower the volume carefully while I edit and check it before uploading it too. I think you are the second to have a comment about it over the last 6 years. It's impossible to please every one and I've lowered the volume more and more over the years.
That Barbie thing is beyond moronic. It has killed pink for me for the time being. I didn't have Barbie for my daughter either and she is about your age. I don't think either of you missed anything. To make matters worse, then Ken doll came along and he was actually Barbie's brother and we all know that is not how that doll was perceived. So I hope the whole Barbie nonsense passes us by soon. My sewing journey began with sewing outfits for my Barbie doll ! I had a little metal Brother machine and mom gave me her fabric scraps. She sewed/smocked all the dresses for my sis and me. So funny about the pink. No burning desire to see the movie. Take care and feel better soon!

Pink has been my favorite (single) color for ever. Single color meaning as a stand alone color. Pink and white, pink and green, and pink and black are favorite combos. I also like reds with white. Never heard of the Barbie movie since I do not care to waste brain energy and time on such silly things. I will be showcasing some of my makes in a few weeks at a farmers market event and the outfit I made a few months back is pink and black. Recently purchased fabric for the boyfriend cardigan that is black with pink flowers, lol. Surprisingly though, I have very little pink in my wardrobe. That means I need more. Oh and btw Karina, get yourself some local honey and fresh ginger. Shred the ginger into the honey and cook until simmering. Put into a jar and use as an anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial elixir. One teaspoon a day keeps the bad bacterial bugs away.

Got my LN Feature Friday with the link. I'm thinking that the lining shorts from the Tinley pattern would do nicely under a shorter version of Ravinia. I ususally make all of my skirts midi length because knee length and above just make me feel like I'll show something if the wind catches my skirt. But if I added the Tinley lining that would probably be perfect (but a project for a later date).

I hope we can go up north one day. The beaches look fantastic! The other room is a guest room now and it’s also a “sick isolation” room 🤪…. Not a studio anymore.

Great video today.I did not realize you were from Portugal. I am visiting with a friend next April for a horse riding adventure I will also have 3 days to enjoy Lisbon. Do you have any suggestions for fabric stores or types of fabric for me to make my trip extra special? I am also trying to learn some Portuguese before I visit.

I totally agree with your Barbie rant. I understand little girls wanting to dress in pink and being very excited about the movie but when I see adults acting that way it seems so childish. I'm not wearing pink for a while either lol

The music is in a very small percentage of the whole video. I lower the volume carefully while I edit and check it before uploading it too. I think you are the second to have a comment about it over the last 6 years. It's impossible to please every one and I've lowered the volume more and more over the years.

I’ve suffered so much taking covid tests, they hurt me so. I won’t take one unless I absolutely have to. I was vaccinated recently too.

That Barbie thing is beyond moronic. It has killed pink for me for the time being. I didn't have Barbie for my daughter either and she is about your age. I don't think either of you missed anything. To make matters worse, then Ken doll came along and he was actually Barbie's brother and we all know that is not how that doll was perceived. So I hope the whole Barbie nonsense passes us by soon. I am sorry you are feeling ill. It will pass and I am sure everyone will be here when you get back.
