You know, I used to have fun looking at celebrity fashion. It was pretty, creative, lovely, fantasy. Is it just me or has all that prettiness, loveliness, creativity, fantasy just completely turned to nakedness, weirdness, shock, do-anything-to-be-different? I barely waste my time anymore as a "candy break" on celebrity award fashion. It's kind of hideous.
I totally agree with you! It seems like a one upsmanship competing with each other who can outdo you. True elegance and style where there were no nude dresses and most were couture and calm, no midriffs, no granny panties under the nude dress look. Leave some mystery rather than putting it all out there. 👍🏼

Why do so few actress have no understanding of the impact of jewelry? There were several gowns that would have benefitted from a wide cuff bracelet. Just a simple gold or silver cuff bracelet 2" wide or so. Small jewelry may look nice close up, in person, but it has no impact in a full-length photograph. It disappears.
I keep getting more and more confused with the invitees on those red carpet events. I'd think for a film festival you'd only invite actors and other people involved in the film industry. And here you have models, insta models, singers, and plain nobodies... 🧐 I think starting to invite "odd" people really launched with Paris Hilton in the mid 2000s who to my knowledge has not starred in a critically acclaimed film. Soon other people of that calibre followed
The security guards were doing their job, as they have done probably for years and years. The celebrities who can’t be bothered to abide by the rules shouldn’t be allowed to come back at all. Especially that woman in the Jesus dress who shoved the guard. It’s like girl you’re definitely not portraying Christ very well with that snotty behavior! It’s embarrassing. I don’t like the pile-on I’m seeing from people online towards that guard. They have rules and if people don’t like the rules, they don’t have to go to the event. Pretty simple fix!
Hi, new subscriber here! It would be great if you could check Cannes outfits of fashion influencer Tamara Kalinic. I liked them very much, but I am interested to hear your opinion. You are so precise and accurate in your comments.
I always love your event focused videos and find them both entertaining and informative, so a second Cannes video would be welcome in my book. As far as the security guard incident ...I think it's pathetic that any event employee should have to step in to make sure that grown men & women do not abuse the rules of the venue. The kind of narcissistic entitlement that makes some individuals believe that they are exempt from event guidelines, and can stop to fuss with their outfits and try to get a photo op out of the deal, makes for a very unflattering impression of them. Security was just doing their job.
Some definite hits and misses there and like you, I'm so over the see through body part flashing gowns, the majority just look borderline tacky. The toddler tantrums on the red carpet steps are deplorable. Aren't these people supposed to be adults or am I missing something 🤔
Beebs, when you make another video about these outfits, can you please put there names on the posts of these celebrities? It would be so helpful to know who they are. Thank you for your hard work, ‘I really love your content and how you present every single video you make. ❤
The actual participants of the film premiere, very famous celebrities and cannes sponsors can take their pictures on the famous stairs. L'Oreal was sponsoring Cannes, so people that were endorsed by L'Oreal, like Heidi Klum, could take their pictures from the stairs. All the others only at the carpet not the stairs. Those that caused havoc this year on the stairs were nobodies, influencers and has beens. You did not see A-listers getting this treatment.
I really enjoy your fashion analyses. I am a short person and as a result, I do not like flounces and big embellishments on myself, but I do not really like these things in general. I enjoy your videos very much.
Cannes is actually not that large (but the swimming in the sea is lovely) and I always try to picture where these events are held. Probably the illusion of television that they are spread out and big while in reality everyone is on each others throats and unfortunately in some cases this seemed literally the case. The couture was both ends of the spectre, some absolutely beautiful frocks and some absolutely not. Bit like the personalities
I think the thoughtless people who break the rules only care for themselves only. Also, it seems to me that elegance in gowns has disappeared for the most part. Funky describes them better, to me.
It may be their jobs, but that woman could've kept her hands to herself. I watched her do this to at least 6 pp,l and she gets handsy first. Use your words, not uour hands. I would be annoyed if someone was actually pushing me
I don’t understand how so many rich people don’t know how to accessorise a dress! It doesn’t require an innate sense of style; it’s mostly a matter of a few basic rules and having eyes in your head. Andie MacDowell’s lovely purple gown clearly needed something to contrast with it: a big chunky bangle or a sparkly brooch on her left shoulder would have done it (silver or clear stones would have matched her hair too). The woman who wore the luscious orange gown got it exactly right; the somewhat unusual (but flattering) hairstyle and the big earrings were just as important as the dress for her overall look. Selena Gomez’s 1940s-style waves went perfectly with her ruffled dress, and leaving her hair down filled in some of the bare space created by the off-the-shoulder design. It’s just geometry. A formal gown should be easier to accessorise than an everyday outfit that has multiple garments involved. Queen of the costume jewellery Coco Chanel would be turning in her grave….
Once again, Beebs, WELL DONE! My exception was Bella Thorne’s look in the orange threw me with the white bra/undergarment that shown through. The next lady looked like she was tilted in that sculptural white dress with the green trim. Maybe that’s the garment and not her? Helen Mirren color choice was gorgeous and I agree about her hair. Agree about Diane Kruger. She’s usually a miss but the dress not so bad but the hair???? She’s a beautiful woman. Rachel’s dress looked like an octopus! Kelly Rowland looked like the jungle and the pink loofah was a NO. The security guard was appropriate considering he has to control the flow of a lot of people. To be so rude as to want a selfie or more than her 30 seconds of fame, she should have done that elsewhere! I’m up for part 2 or 3 of the rest of the looks. Retire the “nude dress” look. It’s dated and boring. No one wants to see it!
3:26 Ironically, the aggressive woman with the train appears to have a representation of Jesus Christ on train that she is maybe trying to showcase, but isn’t acting in a very Christ-like manner.
Hmmm I actually disagree. From the video footage, of which I've seen quite a bit (embarrassingly), the security guards gave other celebrities plenty of time to pause and stay in those middle steps for PROLONGED periods of time. There were celebrities who were literally posing on those middle steps for several minutes even playing with their children on the steps! The celebrities who were seen being pushed along were barely given any time to take pictures - like they were literally being shoved up the stairs. The pictures they did take were with the guards arms obscuring the view of the outfit. Now whilst they may have been asking those celebrities to hurry or they'll be late, those celebrities have brands and designers that they need to endorse. In the case of Cara, she walked straight up and posed at the top of the steps, clearly to just take her photos at the top but the security wouldn't even let her do that. Ultimately, I think the security let the earlier celebrities or celebrities that they knew take as much time as they wanted and then rushed the ones who came towards the end, which is unfair since the order of arrival is usually pre-planned or stagnated. So I think the security were very much in the wrong and they were rude. Michelle Willaims who is rather composed, did say the guard was very aggressive and rude to her and touching her without her consent.
Thank you for sharing these photos with us. I must admit I was shocked at the childish and entitled behaviour I saw from some of these so called stars. Wow. Talk about bad manners and showing your true colours. I find myself in total agreement with most of your comments on the various dresses. Really enjoy your videos. Hope to see more soon.
This brings memories of when I was on vacation in Aruba, there was a red carpet do that was for some film event so my husband and I went for a look see. Whilst standing waiting for the “celebs” to arrive, I was approached by a tuxedo wearing guy who asked if I wanted to attend the event and if so to follow him. I walked down the red carpet (hubby trailing along behind) with folk gawping at me wondering who the hell I was😂. Having been escorted to the arena it became apparent they were desperate to put bums on seats and we were just there to make up the numbers. Our outfits for the occasion were shorts and t-shirt for him (M&S) and cotton skirt and blouse for me (no idea of the make). It was hilarious afterwards and we’ve dined out on this story for years😊😂
You just know that the offenders at Cannes, said to the security guards, “Don’t you know who I am???” The security guards were doing their jobs. The long train with Jesus on it?? What would Jesus do?? Not make an add of themselves at Cannes!
The thing about the security guard is that the very same guard was involved in quite a few incidents over a two week period. Just her, every time. That doesn't seem right. A number of women made complaints against her and some of them are suing.

I think starting to invite "odd" people really launched with Paris Hilton in the mid 2000s who to my knowledge has not starred in a critically acclaimed film.
Throwing a hissyfit while sporting a picture of Jesus on your giant train is such a celebrity thing to do 🙄. Embarrassing.
Entitled children having fits in front of the security and the world - nice… 🤨
so pathetic!!
Kelly Rowlands's dress looks like spiralised cucumber salad she's beautiful though
There have always been drama queens, and always will. They are usually the wannabes though
We would love more from Cannes. Thank you.
Hey Beebs. Glad to catch your face and commentary today ❤
I saw that woman and 1. Who even IS she? 2. RUDE
It may be their jobs, but that woman could've kept her hands to herself. I watched her do this to at least 6 pp,l and she gets handsy first. Use your words, not uour hands. I would be annoyed if someone was actually pushing me
14:10 Yellow is your favourite colour and you love floral patterns 😄 I think you are a Featherington at heart ❤️
Security doing its job, bravo, brats not doing as they’re asked, too bad.
What the hell is Kelly Rowland wearing it certainly isn’t a drew it looks like something that should be in a street carnival
❤ I would love to see more of the Cannes red carpet. There were some beautiful gowns and some failures.
Loved the security guard fiasco. lol😂
Damn, looking fresh as ever girl, do you also do make-up tutorial videos?
Thanks & yes I do! I just haven't in a long time 💛
I think Paris Jackson’s dress would have been more appropriate for the MTV awards.
Beebs looks more gorgeous in a t-shirt then any of these so called celebrities
💛
Pretty funny watching the people fighting over their moment in the camera-pathetic
3:26 Ironically, the aggressive woman with the train appears to have a representation of Jesus Christ on train that she is maybe trying to showcase, but isn’t acting in a very Christ-like manner.
7:42 this would have been beautiful at the Met, she looks like an Orchid.
Yes I would love to see more Cannes fashions or any other celebrity fashions…..love your take on the fashions
Paris Jackson Oooh, look. I’ve got legs!
loved Selina's dress, the white fuzzy dress looks like a weird bear rug, Viola's yellow! Some of these reminded me of older times super glamour.
The guards have the responsibility of keeping the event safe and on schedule. Nobody is entitled to pose and hold up the activities.
The sponsors had exclusive rights to stairs pics for their representatives (their celebs/models) part of a whole marketing package deal.
It was hilarious afterwards and we’ve dined out on this story for years😊😂
😂 That's so cool.
You just know that the offenders at Cannes, said to the security guards, “Don’t you know who I am???”
The security guards were doing their jobs.
Maybe she was the only guard willing to do her job?
