The ifon back eagle army buttons were used from the late 1890's to after WWI then they went gack to solid brass because of the rusting issue
my fav signals lately have been deep jumpy 39-51's, theyve produced multiple silvers with the legend !!
Agreed! A lot of the time they at least end up being an old coin. Mostly Wheaties. But a lot of deep silver has been found digging those VDIs at depth. Thanks for watching!
What settings you running i am a silver sniffer in a area of old coins GL doing well on a new site
The both of us typically find ourselves in park mode. Run 6 tone or pitch depending on target density. No iron filter. Max sensitivity and low recovery say 2-3. That's about what we were running this day.

The 1830 on a Catholic medal isn't the date the piece was made. It's the date a blessed mother had became a saint. The blessed ,other in the catholic church is sister or nun that is like the head teachers of other nuns in a covenant. I dont remember the whole story off hand but its the year someone was made a saint its not mother Mary though. I researched it years back when I noticed that on aluminum pieces and I knew aluminum wasn't used for medals in 1830. Aluminum wasn't used much period back then
Yes I read the story of it I believe it is called a miraculous medal and is a Marian symbol of devotion to mary. I knew it was more modern than 1830, my guess is it's from the 1970s considering this spot holds mostly finds from that decade.

Gold can ring up anywhere from 8-45, Silver anywhere from 30-55. But there are exceptions. A lot of detecting comes down to how good a signal sounds and even then it can be garbage.
