@@UnownDepth I'm loving Rachel's new side for the anime, as the webtoon really cut her off quite a bit to the point we didn't really care about her, but that scene with the hug just made such an impact and I loved it as a webtoon reader
A different thing from the equivalent chapters of the webtoon is that serena and shibisu have more ship scenes .So for those who ship them in the anime , I thought you wanna know that. There is even a scene that anak caught those two going drink together in the middle of the night. But this minor differences in my opinion do not make the anime worse , they just make a different experience, it s nice!

Most of the people you see are those who have already read, reread, reread, reread and then reread some more...... lol It has an almost liberating feeling to hear someone talk about the story in such a fresh way Especially because my understanding and over-analysis has totally clogged my brain lol. SO UH By this I mean to thank you for having an interest in ToG 'xD And thank you more for doing well thought out commentaries on it
It's so hard to watch this videos when I already know what is going to happen haha. Oh boyy, just avoid spoilers. Loved the video btw, I'm remembering what I felt when I read the manhwa.
So like the reason Khun was pretending that he wasn't going to help bam was because he wanted to discourage other people from getting involved to protect them (im pretty sure)
So, the Wizard teacher was late because he was busy being murdered by the Internal Affairs guy. The senior admin didn’t mind the agent trying to eliminate Anaak and get both magic swords back because they’re both trying to preserve the social order. The king set up the Ranker administrators as part of a kick-out-the-ladder strategy to minimize someone repeating his rule-the-tower-to-rule-the-world feat he did.
i very much liked that interaction of Ban and Rachel it gives her a very much human character development the fact that she admits her faults now and is not simply running or hiding it in her room it growth and that being at her lowest point i appreciate that in TOG and yea i don't ship them with Bam i think he sees her more of a big sister type of affection not really romantically at least not yet i think he has a bigger chance to be with Endorsi or Yuri than Rachel by the end or maybe a new girl will pop up that ultimately will be his love interest if they decide to even give him one by the end ^_^
Yeah, honestly was surprised so few people caught on the set up moment from last episode. Glad to see you did. Loved the changes they made this episode in comparison to the webtoon. The funeral felt so much better and the last bit of Khun acting was completely revamped to both save time and make the scene more fluid.
I agree, the funeral scene had waaay more of an impact on me than in the Webtoon. It was so good! I also loved the farewell between Shibisu and Serena- scratch that, ANYTHING with Serena or Shibisu. Some of my favorite characters. I'll miss Serena. ;_; I'm surprised you are OK with the changed Khun scene at the end, as most people seem to really hate it. I personally appreciate that the anime showed that the other members of the cast aren't completely oblivious to Khun's attempts at manipulation, or at least not all the time. ;) It was also surprisingly heartwarming in a way, with the cast being like "Yeah, yeah, Khun. We know what you're trying to do, and you don't need to, we'd support Bam anyway, so drop the act."
@@supremeoverlord0 That's why I preferred it so much more. All of these people have come to like Bam, it doesn't need Khun doing all that acting to convince them. People often dislike these changes not because the changes made it worse, but because they are changes. @@sirmcdust5572 Man, I wish I could make a plaque out of what you said. "People often dislike these changes not because the changes are bad, but because they are changes." Perfect way to put it, and applicable to many other aspects of how people react to changes in their lives.
Serena may be the only one who will affect real change. She made the smart choice by leaving as it seems anybody who wants to make real change climbs the tower.
Rak is the most human khun regains his humanity by being with baam ...... Baam is kind of psychopathic and has to figure out why he does what he does and well Rachel is the bully that crys when you hit back then end up killing you
Anaak couldn't even see Ranker Quant's movements while he was limited as fuck and trying to test her. LPB Ren, a Ranker working for directly for Jahad on the other hand is going for the kill, no restrictions. This can't end well lol
When tower of god came out, 3 weeks in I started to get some explicitly negative video's popping up into my feed. Then Gigguk came out with a video about TOG ushering a new era for anime and how the first season was basically the prologue. After that I broke down and started to read the webtoon, and wow. I have significantly slowed down buy chapter 204, I enjoyed the 2nd arc fully but the 3rd arc...the Hell Train arc. If JoJo has a problem with the beginning of season 2 of Bookworm. He needs to read this webtoon to see if he wants to go on with this series. I haven't seen hour long criticisms like I have seen about Steven Universe, so I assume things Improve after Hell Train. I believe readers say something, indicate that their will be harsh critiques to come. I hope the anime deviates enough from so that dramatic tension and characterization does not suffer in this series. I understand this webtoon is free to read but TOG can easily become the new SAO if fans don't say something!
Pre-Hell Train and Early Hell Train are arcs a lot of people don't really enjoy. They are not bad per say but it definitely isn't great. Mid-Late Hell Train are amazing though. They have so many good arcs and 2 arcs that are my personal favorites. Hell Train is also more like a Saga instead of a arc.
I literally say in the video that I don't enjoy reading webtoons, I'll stick with the anime. If the writing is bad that's on the show for not improving in translation, I will stress this: I only watch anime, I do not care about the source.
@@JoJoTalksTooMuch all right I figured since SAO became the wipping boy for a lot of ani-tubers, and that TOG might and I emphasis MIGHT go in that direction that anyone unfamiliar with the property might want a heads up. Adaptations do take liberties and might mistaken and there is nothing to worry about.
well Sarina didn't leave the tower because we know Bam and Rachel are the only 2 that come from out side the tower so I think she will just go to a different place in the tower because we know that not everyone in the tower are climbing the tower but I didn't understand how its wok any way we might see Sarina again maybe not likely
I've had issues with the anime but I'm so glad they added the scene with serena leaving and they did it well Also changing Bam conversation with endorsi to being with Rachael I just wish theyd had him explain to endorsi at another time I wish they hadn't added helping bam will give them a quicker pass and had left it like the WT they take the harder test and go up(Rachael)or dont help him take the easier test and go
I liked the scene with Bam and Rachel but I did not like her being surprised when Bam said he will not abbandon her. She in the webtoon knew full well how much she meant to Bam.
I thought the whole funeral scene was too long, in the WEBTOON it was only like 2 panels. And the explanation if Khuns plan was cut too much, I read the WEBTOON and even I was confused. But overall I thought it was good they can’t fit everything in to a 20 some minute episode. Also the music was dope!
Khun was trying to get them to feel sorry for Bam because his supposed friend/team mate abadenoned him. It actually works in the comic, some still know Khun is acting but many don't and him pretending makes them want to to help Bam.
I find it so interesting how people just prefer different forms of media. For me, I have a completely opposite opinion as compared to you. I love webtoons, light novels and manga, but anime is flat out meh for me. Just different strokes for different folks I guess xD. I still love watching these even without watching the anime :)
Literally a wolf in sheeps clothing. It was already revealed who the administrator is. The episode where Bam made the contract Yuga said that it was the administrators contract. Everyone made the contract with that guy. It wasnt meant to be a twist
I really like this! Listening to people who only watch the anime is so refreshing and I also like your observations. There's just too much toxicity hanging around the anime for webtoon readers because they're disappointed how some scenes were cut off.
YuHanSung is male though, webtoon peeps had been confused bout that for a long time before it was clarified, this was mostly due to character design and mistranslations since there's no voice unlike anime
Spoiler 🚨: I have a question for webtoon readers? So I am reading the webtoon and I’m currently I just finished the name stealing arc, I just have one question? Douse Khun ever receive new abilities or just get stronger in general because I feel like everyone around him is progressively getting stronger like Baam and Ran and many more characters But khuns abilities have stayed stagnant. I know he supposed to be the intelligent one but doesn’t he want to be the new head of his family? Wouldn’t he have to overthrow his father and to do that I think hit me a little bit more than just his brains I’m just kind of worried because he’s one of my favorite characters but I see no power progression.
He will get more powerful soon. He is strong anyways, but his power isn’t really shown off because he’s smart enough to avoid situations where his full strength is required. But yes, he gets stronger, both gaining new powers and strengthening his old ones.
The next arc is the death flloor arc, then you get the hidden floor arc and a lot of bams party gets a HUGE power boost near the end of that arc, and khun is one of them and he gets some really cool ability. plus you learn a lot of a lot of bams pretty during that arc.
Another reason serena leaving is so impactful is because she decides that she doesn’t want to climb the tower if she has to kill the people she cares about
That's not actually what happened- but the anime didn't quite make it clear, so understandable. Khun was going through Hoh's things, I believe, and found the letter. Someone else gave it to Hoh, but Khun found out about it.
Something some people still don’t understand is that theses are still the entry/totorial floors.
This is the vestiges of a wrong statement

Sorry to break it to you, but this episode was original and fantastic.
WEBTOON READERS LIKE ME PLZ DON'T SPOIL IN COMMENT SECTION AT ALL PLZZZZ
As a webtoon reader i'm 100% with you on this, the anime do some stuff way better than the webtoon while maybe cutting stuff feels bad, i'll gladly take that if they add more stuff like serena sendoff
Yup was better. Rachel is an sweetheart. We all know this. Can't wait to see her growth
@@pabloalejandro06 haha I'm glad at least someone agrees with me 😂
@@UnownDepth I'm loving Rachel's new side for the anime, as the webtoon really cut her off quite a bit to the point we didn't really care about her, but that scene with the hug just made such an impact and I loved it as a webtoon reader
@@hawake5786 couldn't agree more.
Paracule, the strongest regular
A different thing from the equivalent chapters of the webtoon is that serena and shibisu have more ship scenes .So for those who ship them in the anime , I thought you wanna know that. There is even a scene that anak caught those two going drink together in the middle of the night. But this minor differences in my opinion do not make the anime worse , they just make a different experience, it s nice!
I've really wanted to hear the commentary of an anime-only for a looong time
Its really interesting for me to hear the fresh perspective of someone who hasn't read ToG. Most of the people you see are those who have already read, reread, reread, reread and then reread some more...... lol
It has an almost liberating feeling to hear someone talk about the story in such a fresh way
Especially because my understanding and over-analysis has totally clogged my brain lol.
SO UH
By this I mean to thank you for having an interest in ToG 'xD
And thank you more for doing well thought out commentaries on it
It's so hard to watch this videos when I already know what is going to happen haha. Oh boyy, just avoid spoilers. Loved the video btw, I'm remembering what I felt when I read the manhwa.
So like the reason Khun was pretending that he wasn't going to help bam was because he wanted to discourage other people from getting involved to protect them (im pretty sure)
That graveyard scene is chilling 😨
"Dune creatures"
Nice reference, damn
Chibi Rak out here looking like Agumon's uncle
YES tiny Rak is thing of pure beauty
So, the Wizard teacher was late because he was busy being murdered by the Internal Affairs guy. The senior admin didn’t mind the agent trying to eliminate Anaak and get both magic swords back because they’re both trying to preserve the social order. The king set up the Ranker administrators as part of a kick-out-the-ladder strategy to minimize someone repeating his rule-the-tower-to-rule-the-world feat he did.
Basically
i very much liked that interaction of Ban and Rachel it gives her a very much human character development the fact that she admits her faults now and is not simply running or hiding it in her room it growth and that being at her lowest point i appreciate that in TOG and yea i don't ship them with Bam i think he sees her more of a big sister type of affection not really romantically at least not yet i think he has a bigger chance to be with Endorsi or Yuri than Rachel by the end or maybe a new girl will pop up that ultimately will be his love interest if they decide to even give him one by the end ^_^
oh man no end question :( I wouldn't mind if these vids were longer really :3 and I also really like how the graves reflect the sky when it darkens...
My guy mentioned Dune. You sir get a like
Yeah, honestly was surprised so few people caught on the set up moment from last episode.
I don't like that elitist thinking and rather look if it fit into the overall tone of the anime and it very much did.
@@sirmcdust5572 Man, I wish I could make a plaque out of what you said. "People often dislike these changes not because the changes are bad, but because they are changes." Perfect way to put it, and applicable to many other aspects of how people react to changes in their lives.
You sir gets a subscribe from me when you explained the relationship between Bam and Rachel.
Serena may be the only one who will affect real change. She made the smart choice by leaving as it seems anybody who wants to make real change climbs the tower.
Rachel is "the dark side part of a human"
Bam is "a good child" to "mother duck" Rachel
.
Khun is the most human one in the trio.
"Ill forgive Rachael if she doesnt pull anymore shit" ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I recommend to take a look at Aninews explanation about every skipped content in tog. Some even change completely. Anyway, great review as always👌
I personally don't care much about skipped content, but Aninews is an awesome resource for those who might be interested in that sort of thing!
Love your long vids.
I really wish he would call Hansung, Hansung insyead of Yu lol sounds sooooo weird after reading just Hansung for like 8 years lol
nah
@@JoJoTalksTooMuch :D love ya!
Love ya too! xD
Adaptations do take liberties and might mistaken and there is nothing to worry about.
well Sarina didn't leave the tower because we know Bam and Rachel are the only 2 that come from out side the tower so I think she will just go to a different place in the tower because we know that not everyone in the tower are climbing the tower but I didn't understand how its wok
any way we might see Sarina again maybe not likely
Cant wait till he finds out
I've had issues with the anime but I'm so glad they added the scene with serena leaving and they did it well
Also changing Bam conversation with endorsi to being with Rachael
I just wish theyd had him explain to endorsi at another time
I wish they hadn't added helping bam will give them a quicker pass and had left it like the WT they take the harder test and go up(Rachael)or dont help him take the easier test and go
love your videos !!
We are in endgame. Next episodes are going to be caos!
I liked the scene with Bam and Rachel but I did not like her being surprised when Bam said he will not abbandon her. She in the webtoon knew full well how much she meant to Bam.
yeah we knew who the administrator is from the moment when Bam signed his contract. Also the administrator test is such bullshit :D
Remember, till now they haven't left the second floor.
The knight actually passed the test lol in the webtoon lmao
I loved this episode!
The tower of god is all about sea and water, so they are not dune worms, they are more like kraken, giant fish and eel things.
They burst out of the ground like dune worms
@@JoJoTalksTooMuch Yes, totally look like a giant desert worm move, I just feel the need to point this fishy business. Love your videos :*
Nothing about Zahard is a irregular?
Didn't care enough to mention it, neat I guess, but I don't know the guy so idc.
can´t wait for his next videos of TOG XD
I'm loving the anime so far. You ready for the 3 part finale?
I thought Rachel had died until I saw her in the wheelchair.
I'm dying listening to you. 😭😭😭😭😭😩
I still don't get how Khun's 'acting' was supposed help convince the squad to help Baam. Doesn't mean I didn't enjoy that lil Khun moment tho XD
Khun was trying to get them to feel sorry for Bam because his supposed friend/team mate abadenoned him. It actually works in the comic, some still know Khun is acting but many don't and him pretending makes them want to to help Bam.
bam the simp god
What chapters does this ep cover in the web toon
I find it so interesting how people just prefer different forms of media. For me, I have a completely opposite opinion as compared to you. I love webtoons, light novels and manga, but anime is flat out meh for me. Just different strokes for different folks I guess xD. I still love watching these even without watching the anime :)
this man is gana lose it by ep 12
Hi, webtoon readers. 7:29
Now that I remember why does Rachel have cat like pupils
Have you read the webtoon of tog?
I have not! I'm not a big webtoon fan tbh, nor a manga or light novel fan, I'm just an anime guy! ^^;
Literally a wolf in sheeps clothing.
It was already revealed who the administrator is. The episode where Bam made the contract Yuga said that it was the administrators contract. Everyone made the contract with that guy. It wasnt meant to be a twist
So he did kill the spear bearer just to intimidate others?
He didn' t kill him
the only thing ive read is the solo levelling web toon i've tried reading manga and other stuff but it just isnt the same as in anime form
I really like this! Listening to people who only watch the anime is so refreshing and I also like your observations. There's just too much toxicity hanging around the anime for webtoon readers because they're disappointed how some scenes were cut off.
In the manhua it was supposed that Shibisu was smashin' Serena
Rachel...
Can't wait see more heart warming moments with Bamchel. Yu will make an cute wife.
YuHanSung is male though, webtoon peeps had been confused bout that for a long time before it was clarified, this was mostly due to character design and mistranslations since there's no voice unlike anime
@@meow2251 not when done with him. All jokes aside. He seem he be woman in the relationship
Spoiler 🚨: I have a question for webtoon readers? So I am reading the webtoon
and I’m currently I just finished the name stealing arc, I just have one question?
The next arc is the death flloor arc, then you get the hidden floor arc and a lot of bams party gets a HUGE power boost near the end of that arc, and khun is one of them and he gets some really cool ability. plus you learn a lot of a lot of bams pretty during that arc.
kyle duty THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
Cory Z THANKS 😊
mahdi rahimi thank you!!!
the scenes are so disconected it is like i am watching a heavily edited version
I didn't notice this at all, but cool I guess.
Rachel growing as a character?
cool thnx
Another reason serena leaving is so impactful is because she decides that she doesn’t want to climb the tower if she has to kill the people she cares about
You sure JoJo (:?
this was the most click bait thing ive ever seen
"Possibly forgive Rachel?" & " Grow as a character ".... You poor misguided fool
cool thnx
What'd you think of Khun's betrayal of Hoh? He was behind the letter- I think.
That's not actually what happened- but the anime didn't quite make it clear, so understandable. Khun was going through Hoh's things, I believe, and found the letter. Someone else gave it to Hoh, but Khun found out about it.
