I enjoy hearing your analysis of the characters based on their designs. When I was reading these early chapters, even though the art was quite rough, I found the character designs to shine through as unique and eye-catching. As someone that read the Webtoon for years, this episode is not just fast, it is hyperloop with a rocket engine fast. The pacing felt off to me. Things happened so fast that I feel like it confused people more than it should. The webtoon shows yuri’s point of view briefly, which I feel adds to the scene. There was also some dialogue cut. I kind of understand why they made cuts, and it makes sense sometimes for an anime. When Khun appears, the voice says "Honor and Pride?" and when Rak appears it says that "Or something that transcends all things?" Which could tell us what their desires are. (Tho I will say that I don't really know if that is what they want but it's just my theory) Also yeah Bam x Khun is probably gonna be my ship for this show XD

Suddenly all that steel grit and I gotta get this done to move forward gone.
One thing I appreciate about the fact that webtoon is a medium for what feels like an older demographic than manga is that things aren't awkwardly sexualised. This is a very much adult or at least teen show, but it something I can watch in rooms with other people. Like for example princess Yuri, is the big sister character and you know 100% she would have huge tits if this was based off a manga. Or the spirit of black march, she's flirty but in an almost gentle sisterly way that doesn't come across as fan service
Ohhhh a fellow fudanshi, i see you will be another member of the dark ship sect in tog, interesting.Talking about his design, quick fact, his name bam in korean means night, and chestnut
I don't know if you've seen the translation of the lyrics for the op, but it matches Bam's character and overall struggle of the show to a T. I was also a bit on the fence before I looked into the lyrics.
Despite popular belief, I actually didn't love the first episode. It was good, yes, but it didn't really grab me like I expected it to from all the hype. I like the art style though and plan on still watching it Again though, I plan on continuing it. I am aware some stories take a while to build up...though those types of stories are typically reserved for books since that's where that medium shines
Will Gomes Well there is a lot of exposition thrown at you in the beginning of ToG even though the anime toned that down a bit. Some people have had trouble getting into the series because of the huge amount of information, lore and world building in the first season. But it’s really important groundwork for future twists (there are a lot) and progression.
It’s understandable that non readers had inflated expectations, this series is more of a slow, expansive simmer. The first ep isn’t supposed to be sensational like one punch man or demon slayer.
Actually since the beginning we, readers we we recommend TOG to others we always say to get up to the 7-8 chapter to start really to get into the story. That 0-6 Chapters are mostly what makes the 1st episode, so it's not really wierd if it didn't grab you yet, the good stuff starts after that.
If you don't have someone to curate your comments for spoilers I suggest you avoid them for this series, even mild hints might spoil this amazing story for you. Regarding the OP ive seen many other people agree that it looks so weird because they are trying very hard to avoid the aforementioned spoilers by showing characters/tests/floors/etc that would probably give too much by simply being shown too early and most likely than not the OP will evolve with the story progression.
I was expecting the animation will be in between of 2D and 3D quality. I mean the quality of the character drawing. I was expecting like Darwin's Game or Hero Academia level or maybe I just used to the quality of the manhwa.
Too bad the anime cut a lot from the webtoon, a lot . Tower of God have always been good at dropping foreshadows, hint and clues in the story and it is sad to see the anime completely cuts them away. If you like the anime should check the webtoon .

The opening visuals are probably gonna change after certain characters are introduced.
The same with the ED's message
How to pronounce Aguero is (Uh-grair-oh). Hope that helped.
I'll try to work on it, thank you! ^_^
Oh there will definitely be more characters next episode
Despite popular belief, I actually didn't love the first episode. It was good, yes, but it didn't really grab me like I expected it to from all the hype. I like the art style though and plan on still watching it
Again though, I plan on continuing it.
I mean, people don't hype up a series based on the content of the first few chapters, it's usually the things that happen later on
It’s understandable that non readers had inflated expectations, this series is more of a slow, expansive simmer.
@@parkjiminismylight6441 👍
I liked episode 2 a lot better, actually
In order for u to understand the connection between the song and the video for the op u would have to read it
Our Favorite Turtles are coming together next episode🙏😁😍
Aguero is a reference to Sergio Aguero the Argentinian football player.
SIU does that a lot.
This is me interacting for the algorithm.
you should read lumine! :0
i looking forward see your opinions(only person that i know that make good analysis and is going blind)
20+ minute video............yay!!
Special occasions call for to return of 20+ minute videos! :D
The 1st episode is just too rushed IMHO. Some deails weren overlooked and ToG is about the details if you want to understand the world they live in.
one reason you watch is to fulfill your inner fujoyshi? you will love this show then!
Stevonnie Jenkins is there anything to “fulfill your inner fujoshi” at all in this anime?
@@reena591 mainly the relationship between Bam and Khun, but also some really cute characters later in the webtoon
You love colors hm? Like a black turtle and a blue turtle? I also hope you love turtles.
when i see baam and khun i see gon and killua
As a webtoon reader, I too despises what they done with the OP. Mainly because how they portray Bam. Way off the mark!
We won’t find out about his history for several seasons
Bam is blacker than you ever think, he's often compared to black hole. (It's not a spoiler)... 😅
How does he know Kuhn and raks names in episode 1
You should review an episode of BNA: Brand New Animal
A video on BNA is dropping today! :)
KhuBam is life!
The character names are inspired from Football/soccer... the author is a fan of man United
Yup, if you glance at the comments you'll see that's been said a number of times now! :)
I didn't like the OP but since there's no spoilers on it I approve it.
I was expecting the animation will be in between of 2D and 3D quality. I mean the quality of the character drawing. I was expecting like Darwin's Game or Hero Academia level or maybe I just used to the quality of the manhwa.
Ah u will very quickly learn to hate Rachel my friend
Too bad the anime cut a lot from the webtoon, a lot . Tower of God have always been good at dropping foreshadows, hint and clues in the story and it is sad to see the anime completely cuts them away. If you like the anime should check the webtoon .
I feel like the opening credits might go
why is Raks clothes coloring makes it so much awkward xD 13:14
