- In this video you will see MY 3 year update on having the #Sawgrass #SG800 #sublimation printer. Overall it is a great printer with vivid colors. Not for beginners but with practice and some helpful advice you will be fine. In 3 years I have been using cheap ink and paper and its still working well! I am making sublimation transfers for an old business partner. I will also show you the settings that I use for this printer. Disclaimer - I do not use CREATIVE STUDIO! I use photoshop to create.

@@aliciagonzalez1268 Yes , it worked fine. You may need to do a few print head cleanings and nozzle checks but it should be fine
Hello how do make the ink work? My printer is not recognizing the ink cartridge. Please help!
I just placed mine in the printer- make sure they are pushed all the way in. I’ve used and replaced a few times with no problem. Even purchased the ink disposal cartridge from the same company- all worked fine

Not yet! I got to plug mines back up- been in the moving process again and stuff is eevvvvvverywhere

Still working strong 4 years later! It does tend to run out KINDA fast (100 prints) but it’s well worth it
i can get my printer to print but it wont print green after the update with off market ink

My sawgrass is out of warranty now and need to get cheaper ink. How hard is it to switch to the non-sawgrass ink? Do I need to do anything besides installing the new ink cartridges?
not at all...just pop the new inks in there🥰mines is still working well

Thanks for the info on the video. Looking at changing my cartridges from OEM to another brand, but having trouble finding a reputable company in The Netherlands. Is this brand only available in America or can they ship worldwide?

Hey. I see your using another brand of ink. Do you have any problems with your prints because of that? Like imperfections or lines on the prints? I notice that it didn’t say “none sawgrass ink. Do you want to continue .”
I am using a different ink with the sublijet chips because I don’t want the printer to start trashing my prints because I’m using a different brand of ink.

I have been using the same cheap inks for 3 years. Works great for me with rich dark prints and no issues! I hope that helps
I use this ink in my sg800. The print looks great but after I pressed it on the shirt it looks faded...have you had this issue?

I press mines 400* at 50 seconds
I'm a little new to this printer. Are you using sawgrass print manager software with this cheaper ink? If so is your Sawgrass Print Manager the updated version.
I use photoshop to design and print manager to print. I never update because and if I’m forced to do it, I do it and it somehow still works for me. I feel as if creative studio is a problem for most people. I NEVER use that

Hey bro, I'm having an issue with my mac sending the info to my SG400 but wi not print. Any suggestions?
Do you use creative studio? Is your art dpi set to 300? Let me know because usually if its set any higher than 300dpi then it can be slower (300dpi is standard for the size paper being used) if you use creative studio for some reason it can be slow as well

check this video out...I have not found the correct color profile to print directly from photoshop. I print directly from print manager from artwork created in Photoshop ( I hate Creative Studio) and my colors come out great.
@@shastylesdesign Okay thanks I'll give creative studio another chance. I did notice my colors were off when I printed from Capture one.

Hello my printer is not reading the replacement ink? Do you know what I can do?
My bypass tray won’t grab the paper or just darn jams. Please help me. I don’t know what to do. I bought a roll of paper and cutting off and I have the single 13x19 sheets.
I probably cant help much because I dont buy rolls of paper. I buy the cheapest 120g sheets of 13x19 pre cut paper from amazon. I hope that helps
What paper do you use?
At least 120 gsm sublimation paper… any off market brand works well but the weight is what matters
