- 2021 VW Atlas, what's new? In this video I compared the older model to the new 2021 VW Atlas to find out if they are any different.

I like the older box design. More rugged and stands out in the busy SUV/CUV crowd.

The older model does the same thing when using cruise control. It will maintain distance from car in front and slow down and lane assist keeps you in your lane. This was first available in the 2019 model. You mentioned in your video that it did not come in the 2020 model but it does 🤷🏽♀️
Good video. Just a few things to clarify: 2021 does have fog lights, they are integrated, new lights are awesome cuz of the LED IQ tech. Infotainment is different in the 2021.5, it has MIB3 chip which enables wireless android auto. 2.0 turbo actually has more acceleration power and better mileage, if towing a lot, then VR6 (not really a V6) would be a more suitable option, VW should really come out with a VR6 Turbo charged option. I love adaptative cruise control in traffic jams, just set it up and I'll move by itself and stop with traffic
Hey Sam and thanks for your review, it was very informative. But my question to you is how come you did not mention the difference between the two as far as when it comes to no fog lights on the 2021. I understand that the new headlights are adaptive and they turn and move when the car turns and moves. But they are still not fog lights. I drive and sometimes in very foggy conditions and I need my lights position lower than the headlights. Also can you tell me how can I install fog lights to a 2021 Volkswagen Atlas. How would you compare this new 2021 Teramont with Hyundai Palisade?

I prefer the 2.0L Turbo Engine over the 3.6L V6. The acceleration is much better and it’s way more fuel efficient. Plus it comes with AWD in the 2021 model.

@@SamCarLegion ya they made a slightly newer version of the 2021 released 1 month ago in Canada they call it 2021.5. has slight improvement in the infotanment is my understanding...also for u personally did u enjoy the Telluride or atlas better

The only atlas for 2020 is atlas sport which is 5 seaters only.

Coz here in toronto dealership they dont have 2020 atlas with 3rd row. ONLY 2020 atlas sport which is 5 seaters only.No 3rd row.. NO fog lights anymore for 2020 atlas they updated likewise the 2021 atlas.Thanks
Atlas Crossport is 5 seater, the standard Atlas is 3 Row in Canada and USA

Sorry, I was listening/watching and did not want to comment but after quite a few errors I could not hold myself back.
1-Lane keeps assist is what is looking at the lines on the payment, not the cruise control. and...
2-Its the adaptive cruise control that keeps the distance between you and the car in front when you drive, not the lane assist. Here, I feel better now.
Overall review is great, however, you need to re-watch what you record after you record it. Some of your quotes " Somehow the performance is the same in both vehicles" Well.. they use the same engine so... yeah, it will be the same. Things like that.

Best comments on my 2021 Racine green atlas. I love the look very much. It has the sleek style of European cars. But the interiors hard plastic is a bummer. But I didn’t pay a fortune so I can live with it.

6:14 - a glitch in the Matrix
They needed to update the engine more than anything. That V6 is the slowest in it’s class.
You are so right. I have a 2021, and am baffled by the chipmunk engine Volkswagen decided to use. It’s way too much mass for a 2.0 litre.
They made the newer one look like a Audi.
This model is not vw because its made in usa

Have you driven one? Cause I drove a 2021 with 24 inch custom rims and that was as smooth as my 2017 GLE.

@@gardenst4398 You’d be surprised on how far budget/low level luxury cars have come as far as ride quality and noise suppression. Excuse my mistake in my last response, meant “GLE”. And just to let you know, after also test driving the Hyundai Palisade & KIA Telluride, they are both just as quiet and smooth as a base GLE...least a slightly older GLE.
@@j_hakann I cannot agree that Atlas & GLE are equal in comfort. All I know is cos of horrible ride of Atlas, I will return my Atlas end of lease period & never again a VW.
@@gardenst4398 who goes through with the purchase of a car without liking the ride quality? And I’m not “comparing” the entire GLE, just the ride quality.
