Missha Vita C Plus Spot Correcting & Firming Ampoule is my HOLY GRAIL. I absolutely love love love this formula. I just purchased my third bottle. It's honestly the best vitamin c serum I've ever used.
MISSHA vita C plus is my fav serum forever! I use it in my night routine and cover with cream from the same line. I use it already 6 months and I have to say it works with my pigmentation and brights my skintone! Awesome product! I will purchase it over and over!
Thank you so much! I've been struggeling to find a good K-vitamine C so very happy with this. Will purchase the Missha one as the 23% is not available in Europe.
Wow very informative video! Didnt know that vitamin c effectiveness drops at higher concentration,i thought it would just be as effective (same) as the one at 20 percent
I'm glad to hear it 😊 I think many brands take advantage of the fact that not many people are familiar with the scientific studies on the use of topical vitamin C sadly.
yeah very informative video. i fell for the same myth as well and ive been having a hard time using up a certain very afordable 23% LAA ... it's supersticky, irritated my skin like crazy (worse than AHA irritation), smells like barbequed bacon over metal grills! it's been over 1yr now and im still probly halfway thru. funny enough, the product did not oxidise like what everyone feared.
Just subscribed! Amazing how calming and informative your video is, thank you so much. I just bought the goodal vitamin C will try this one for now. Again, thank you.
Hi, i am a guest for korea... here i saw your video for what i need... Bye the way your's Very Clear and fentastic explanation... And for that i like to give my support as a subscriber for your hard work... Congrats 🎉
This is the best video I've seen on serums. I love❤ the way you have covered every aspect of the product especially the packaging. This was an eye opener for me. Thank you for all your wonderful videos.
Thank you so much for creating such informative content. There is so much information, and misinformation, out there, it's honestly hard to know where to start and who to trust!
Thank you! I absolutely agree, I find that the way some Korean vitamin C products are marketed can be really confusing for consumers... you see these products that claim to contain 95% orange extract and consumers are led to believe that 95% is the vitamin C content of the product, when actually the vitamin C content of natural extract is really low and not as effective as stabilised Ascorbic Acid. So paradoxically, a 5% ascorbic acid serum will perform better than a 95% "orange extract" serum 😂
Hello Odile from Greece.i have bought from Amazon the melano cc vit c 10 days now can you please tell if I have chose the right vit c ...I'm 40 oily skin with fine lines.thank you keep educating us
Can you please do a review or detailed video on sheet masks please. Which one to use and how often to use and the correct before and after routine to follow with sheet masks. There are so many types from a brand and it is really confusing. Thank you ❤
thank you for this very informative video ❤️❤️ i am suffering skin problems due to wearing face mask, at first I really didn't know it suddenly happened until I payed a visit to my dermatologist 😩😩😩
Thank you for watching, I'm glad you found it useful! Many people found themselves in your same situation this year D: maskne is real and it looks like it will stay with us for a long time. If it's of any help, I will do a video on the topic in September with some Korean products that have been recently developed to target maskne.
@@OdileMonodTheMonodist yes please that would be a great help. I've already tried other Korean products like Cosrx they really worked on me. But I've noticed that when I use a certain product for a long period of time, I can't feel or see its effectiveness anymore. Maybe because my skin is already used to with its product contents, I don't know if others experience this. Now I'm having difficulty on trying other Korean products coz I have a sensitive and acne prone skin 😔😔
@@itaouigiuliana6252 All acidic products (including vitamin C) are more effective when used as the first step of a skincare routine, because the environment of the skin is more acidic straight after cleansing so everything else, like a ginseng serum in your case, should be used after that ^^
Yes skin bleaching ingredients are banned in South Korea so you can comfortably use Korean skin brightening products even if you have darker skin. If it helps, I also have a video called "The Truth About Korean Skin Brightening Products" where I explain how this type of products are regulated in Korea and why they're safe for skin of colour.
Hi Odile, I looove your videos! I‘m currently using Missha‘s Vita C serum for my hyperpigmentation but will switch to Iope after seeing this. Also, can I combine it with other treatments within the same routine or should I alternate? I have many problems with my skin (dryness, huge pores that tend to clog, first signs of aging) that I would like to tackle.
They relaunched the product last month in Korea with a new improved formula. They state that they increased the quantity of vitamin C, but they don't want to reveal whether it's the ascorbic acid content that was increased or the vit C derivatives (someone asked them in the Q&A section of their Korean website), so it's unclear what's the concentration of ascorbic acid in the product now 🤔
Absolutely! As I mentioned in the video, vit C is more effective when it's applied in an acidic environment (so straight after cleansing), but you can definitely apply it after your toner/essence/serum. This will make it more gentle (albeit a little less effective), but if your skin is sensitive, sensitised or you're still getting used to vitamin C, it's better to take a gentle approach! Even if it means it’s going to take a little longer to see the desired results. Better play it safe than end up with irritated skin 😅
@@OdileMonodTheMonodist i found your contents really interesting and different from most others... skincare info from a different point of view! and thanks for the reply. I love your video !!! I was using vitamine C after toner so I was doing it wrong I guess !! Does this mean the right steps are: cleansing , vitamine , toner , moisturiser?? Also is it fine to use the vitamine C in the morning at at night ??
Does it contain pure vitamin C (ascorbic acid) or a derivative? In general, clear bottles are not ideal for vitamin C serums, because the formula is exposed to UV light and will oxidise really quickly. However, if the serum contains a low concentration of vitamin C (i.e. the Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop from Klairs or the Goodal serum in this video), it's not as bad because usually these serums contain many other ingredients to stabilise vit C and make it more gentle. Anywhow, if you want to be extra safe, you can wrap the bottle in foil and store it in the fridge 🤞
@@jmooo9787 no worries! I just checked the ingredient list, it contains 100ppm of Ascorbic Acid which is a really low percentage (it's 0.01%), so I wouldn't worry too much 😁
Hi your vids are always so detailed and informative. I was wondering if you’ve used Missha Vita C recently. Has it gone through a reformulation bc it now says that it’s got pure vitamin C in 33% vita C liposome… no idea what that means or what’s the % of ascorbic acid in it. Would appreciate it if you could compare the two versions old vs new if you’ve used both. Thank you!
Thank you! The 33% is the total sum of both Ascorbic Acid and other vitamin C derivatives, it's a very misleading marketing claim. On their Korean website some people asked Missha about the actual quantity of AA in the new reformulation, but so far they've always refused to disclose it citing it's confidential information (the vitamin C complex used in the serum is proprietary). Thank you for your words, an updated vitami C video is already in the works and I'll be discussing the new reformulation of Missha's Vitamin C serum 😊
@seanwilson9918 the concentrate contains 10% Ascorbic Acid in powder form. The powder is kept in a separate compartment that pops open the first time you use the product, to ensure maximum freshness and keep the formula stable for longer. By the way, I just checked their Korean website again and it looks like they finally added the information on the amount of AA contained in the vitamin C Ampoule! In the ingredient list they list it as as 1.001ppb which is a ridiculously low value 😵💫 (0.0000001001%).
@@OdileMonodTheMonodist that’s crazy!!! Almost no point in including AA. Hopefully whatever vit C derivative complex they’re using in the lipisome are worth it.
