Easiest Way to Get Infinite Lava in Terraria

This is a quick tutorial about how to get unlimited buckets of lava in Terraria. This works because of an oversight by the devs that basically, a half bucket of lava counts as a full one. This is working as of version 1.3.0.8. If you have questions, don't be afraid to ask them down in the comments section. I reply to almost all comments.

If you have a full hotbar when you collect your lava, it will instead go in to your inventory

Once you get to underworld there's a better way, if you can mine hellstone, you can place it back (in the underworld) and it will still spawn the lava, this works better in expert mode where it spawns a full block instead of a half block, you can speed this up by getting buckets and a magic mirror and making a pre hardmode hellivator with water at the bottom, from there mine the hellstone repeatedly to get infinite lava

there's a way to do it twice as fast (EDIT: added a way to make it even faster than W method, using _|_ multiple layers of reverse T),
OLD: You can make W shape and stand in middle, pour right then left then right then left to have double the speed of generating some good honey ponds and lava ponds!
EDIT Even Better Wayy:
So you make a reverse T shpae, like this
(pour here)
_|_
_|_ _|_
by doing that you can make it super fast. and you can even have 3rd layer with those 4 reverse t,
- FOR SOME: the starting might be tricky so instead of holding the mouse, for first 1-2 seconds you might want to click manually to keep the stream of honey/water going, once the stream is seen to split into half, then on you can just hold your mouse button and see it go.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
- when you pour the water, you can scoop up to half a bucket of water back into full bucket.
- when the water splits into 0.5 + 0.5, which will further break into
0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25
but the game engine might be rounding it up so you get:
0.5 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.5
(now sometimes some stream might get rounded to 0 instead of 0.5 but if you do this enough times with multiple levels, you can make it super fast.)

If you place a bucket of lava in a 6 block wide area pick it up fast you can get 2 lava

Use Water Bolt Make a Box where you can dodge EoW but also being able to bounce some water bolts around
I used jungle armour and 100hp and did it on expert

It goes to your coins area for some reason, it happens to me. Try and fill up your inventory including the coins area
