How to get EVERY pet in Terraria (1.4.4)

- In Terraria you are able to get special items that will summon a pet for you. This can be things like the extremely rare dirt block or caveling gardener, the companion cube pet, and much more! But actually figuring out what all of the pets are and how to get them can be pretty hard since there are over 50 pets in Terraria, which is why I made this video going over EVERY pet in Terraria, and how to get them as well

I still remember the first time playing Terraria, left my dirt house for once to fish in the ocean and got the minotaur pet item. Thought it was going to summon a boss, so I made lots of potions before trying to fight it. Good old times!

When I started playing fishing wasn't added yet. Also moon lord wasn't added yet either.
It's important to clarify that the skeleton merchant only sells the magic lantern at night during full moon

(I’m pretty sure everyone knows this but it’s name is meant to reference what it’s like to wake up with a certain problem)
Mourning is also what you do when you grieve it's just too easy to miss understand
I was playing with 2 friends and one of my friends got the spiffo pet pretty fast at like the third night. then later I explained them how to use the extractanator and my friend got the dino pet after like 30 silt blocks.... I also found a dirtiest dirt and it was just 3 layers below our surface spawn... We all have crazy pet luck and its pretty funny
On Xbox, I got that pet item that drops from pumpkins on the first pumpkin I broke
Im also the legal owner of a dirtiest block, though not too impressive
I just started playing this week and I got spiffo my 2nd day. I didn't know it's a .07% chance to get it. I'm kinda hyped now, I was gonna trade it but not anymore
A few days after watching this video, I had a real surprise in one of my terraria worlds. I was shaking some trees for fun trying to get some fruits, when suddenly, one of the trees dropped the sugar glider! I remembered the rarity of the pet from this video, and I practically went crazy. LOL
Thank you for the link to that Bunny method. I was working on my own personal "Everything World" before Journey Mode became a thing. Over the years, I've stowed at least one of every single thing I've ever acquired in survival in it; and now I can add a little extra goodie to that world. :)
I've watched the "Every Mount" video, and this "Every Pet" video. Now we just need a "Every Summon" video. You may even have already done this one, but I couldn't find it with a basic channel search.

On terraria xbox one, there is an xbox achievement that want you to get every pet in the game, I'm so glad you made this video it helped a lot
My personal favourite is Chester, cos you can use it to save secondary items you dont want to have in your inventory, but I also like honey bee

There was also a suspicious looking apple that gave you a pet worm from the WORMS series. It’s gone now, but I remember it so well

My favorite pet is the Suspicious Looking Eye! I just love how it looks around, can help you see location of ores and treasures.

I was doing a hardcore run on stream the other day (Master mode + Fargos + Calamity) and found a Sugar Glider and A dirt pet. I had never seen the dirt pet before, but the sugar glider was nice. Not even a few moments later though, I died to something really stupid and now I know that I lost some pretty rare pets lol!
Wait but I have two sugar gliders-
They’re easy to get early game but bc u farm less trees late game it becomes rlly rare

I have so many of these rare pets and I'm still on my first playthrough I got the sugar glider squirrel only an hour in I had no idea it was so rare until watching Terraria videos like this

I found a seed that's the first tree you chop down you get the sugar glider its celebration10

I am very new to terraria as I played it once a long time ago and bought it for my ps5 a few days ago and I already got the sugar glider as my first pet and I didn’t even realize for a good bit until I looked at it and then saw the item in my inventory. Wow I can’t believe I got a pretty rare one and I wasn’t even in my world very long.
I never realized how rare some of these are I have at least 3 Monster Meat items (pigman summoning item)

I still remember that Android pet from Terraria pe and the old lady stick which cost 1 platinum hahaha, good old days playing multiplayer terraria with my brother
I remember just farming for dungeon guardian pet by using turtle armor and master ninja gear and keep throwing myself into the dungeon until I dodge the attack and let the turtle armor reflect the damage back. Let's say I die a LOT during that.
Did it actually deal all the damage when you dodged or did it deal…

Dungeon Guardian lost half their health from reflected damage because of its defence. So after the dodge, the armour will reflect again and kill it.
This is before 1.4 though so I don't know if it still work.

My inventory was full of bone keys cuz i found a way to be invincible without any hacks.
You should wear hallowed helmet, turtle mail or the torso part idk, and chlorophyte greaves :)

Right now me and my brothers are trying to collect every item in terraria we are starting with weapons and we are halfway done with pre hardmode
I have all three of the master mode light pets, the mechanical boss pets, and a BUNCH more.
Well I just noticed I have the whales pet in the game now and all my siblings had it thank you little best(:

I got the sugar glider pet without even realizing it about 2 days after starting the game for the first time recently. I must have been half asleep cause I started the game up the next day and I'm like "well what the heck is this?" It was sap that summons my little buddy!
Some random zombie dropped sniffo in my world and i didnt even notice it. I saw it when i came back that way a few minutes later

edit: i was in a server, blood moon event.. i killed a few zombies and boom, i got the spiffo pet. wasn't even actually trying, im surprised that i got it so easily

The orange zapinator with insane luck can one shot the dungeon guardian because of its random chance to deal x10 damage the stacks with consecutive x10 boosts
You forgot some removed pets
in mobile 3ds version there were 5 special pets that dealt 1 to 5 damage to enemies but where removed in 1.3 one of the pets was zombie could have been obtained from zombie
Since spiffo is in the game does that mean the zombies in the game have the Knox infection?

I would say the companion cube is harder to get than rod of discord
The reasoning being rod you can farm traveling merchant you have to wait
