I agree. Rufus was the godson of Taylor. He posted how heartbroken he was and that Taylor had been his idol and biggest influence. He would be the only replacement for the Foos that would understand the grief of losing Taylor. I think Dave could accept this replacement.

I love this band, their music, their personalities. Taylor Hawkins will be missed. My heartfelt condolences to the Band, his friends and most importantly his family
It's so cool seeing the spirit of Freddie take over other musicians when they perform his music. It's like he visits any time someone plays his music live and gives like 10% percent of his energy to help them out.

Try playing drums or sing any of Queen songs in a proper way, rather than just screaming lyrics in your bedroom when no one is listening.

I was at a foo fighters Show a few years ago and dave had a really sore voice, he probably got a flu and his voice just gave up so they improvised and Taylor took over on vocals for some foo fighters songs with Dave playing drums and it ended up being an amazing show, even without Dave's vocals. Taylor was truly an amazing Musician, rest in Peace.
I was there and flew in from Boston a few days before. It was very cold in New Orleans that week and especially that night. One of the best nights of my life
Ughh, cold weather..a sound tech's nightmare (and the guitar, piano, and drum tuner's too..) mixing sound in cold weather is a challenge, it totally changes how it's done, especially with stage monitors (I did stage monitors for several name bands, and changing temperatures in our outdoor venues made it challenging to avoid "ringing" and feedback...)

They did this last night, in Billings. Dave on drums. funny thing, is, Taylor was wearing a Cats shirt, last night. A member of the audience was wearing an ABBA shirt. They called him out on it. It was quite awesome.

That is Rufus Taylor, the son of Roger Taylor, Queen's drummer. He does look a lot like he could be related to Taylor! He is basically his godson though. A mentor since he was born.
His son played the drums well at the tribute concert.
Tragic loss today. But Taylor's music lives on.
