I agree the real wood floors are much better but I have noticed on some of these old homes there are gaps between the planks of original wood. I guess it just comes down to cost and preference 🤔

for 50 more grand, i can get a 12 year old condo with a two car garage. newer everything. i am done with the old houses on the side of a hill with no parking.
🥲 yep maybe a bit further away from the city. Definitely not for everyone but old houses can have a charm to them. Of course that means you’ll probably need more reserves for when something needs replaced but there are good and bad things on both sides 😂
It's paint. For that price, make it as colorful as yinz want. After viewing homes with pink and odd colors of green, or older homes with the fashion sense of a billiard table, gray ain't so bad.
Any other place in America and you immediately add another zero to the price. Pittsburgh has incredible real estate deals. And to the haters on this video, your moms basement IS probably pretty nice.
@TimRobertsRE I was a Real Estate agent in the West hills for a bit in the late Eighties. In licensing class I sat next to a lady from California. She was blown away by how much house you could get for your money, but appalled by the price of raw property. I'm now in sw Florida and it's crazy how little you get for biiiig bucks! BTW, this is a nice house for a very nice price!
“If you like a lot of sunlight” 😂 if you like sunlight you won’t be living in Pittsburgh. As an added bonus, those walls are as gray as the Pittsburgh sky.
They painted everything gray except for the only place that should be gray... that basement. Hire better painters... completely unacceptable not to have bright white ceilings.. which makes me believe there was nasty smoke stains everywhere and this was their quick fix.
Yep it is definitely relatively affordable here compared to many places! Especially once you get a little further away from the city there are some huge beautiful homes!
I would never buy into that for 200. Look at that kitchen alone... nope. What about the foundation? The roof new? What's the insulation value? What happens when it rains heavy? Leaks or water anywhere? Narrow as F***. 95K in Pitt, maybe, but go out of the county and boom.. 200K gets you so much more with land. What about the location.?? You don't show the core of the building, just the cosmetics. Not a buyer by any means if you were the agent. Couldn't sell me a house because I know better, know the right questions to ask, and what to look for.
This is relatively a steal compared to just about everywhere else in the country. An Eichler Mid-century Modern home in Northern California, single story and much smaller, starts at $1.5M, and that's for one in near teardown condition. This house is in very good condition, especially for the cost.
When your laundry room is bigger than the master 😂
😂😂 that’s true! Strange layout but I think it’s kinda cool

They painted over that beautiful woodwork. A crime, I tell you!
I swear people do that on instagram just to get more views because no sane person would do that 😂
Right?
I understand updating some parts of old homes, but why erase the small details that gives it charm?
This obviously flipped house has the ol landlord special going on big time. “Paint it gray! Paint it ALL gray!”
lol maybe there was a sale on gray paint
What a disgraced they did to this house! Painting the wood with GREY paint 🤦🏻♀️ horrendous.
how many bud lites did they have in them, when they decided to paint the walls gray..................everywhere.
Probably more than one

I am in shock that anyone would paint the interior grey, grey, and grey. Was there a sale on grey paint?😂
😂 well grey has actually been very trendy the last few years
*gray
Grae
Not anymore. People are sick of it.
Low end rehab in the worst section of town. poor kitchen layout. whos the contractor/designer on this project? 200,000? com'on
Why did they choose the dark gray. A lighter color would appear to open the space more. Still though, nice house!

Summer is decently sunny but yes winter is dark for a long time 🥲
Painted woodwork! And, it looks like the floor plan has been changed. People who do this to old houses have no soul. Disgusting.
It is sad when people cover up or paint over original woodwork 🥲
“Here’s a door. It’s got no handle so you can’t open it” 😂

I’m so over flipped houses done in gray and white with fake flooring. It’s starting to look dated already.
😂 I do think we are nearing the end of the trend. I wonder what will be the next big thing
Definitely looks dated now.
I’m gonna assume since it wasn’t shown, there’s no off street parking. $200,000 is way too much for that heap in Pittsburgh.

Overall not that bad. Cheaper cabinets. I’d say $110-125k at the most!!
I hate the floors. What happened to the real floors? Garage trailer.
This would easily cost over $1M in other parts of the country. I'm surprised the cost is relatively so low in today's housing market.

its probably in a bad neighborhood that might be partly the reason lol

oh, too much gray paint. Gray everywhere :( If you drive at least an hour east, you will find a similar home for $100K less :)
