Did you hear the new neural link air fresheners? When you think about it, it makes scents.
I would have gotten rid of the dishwasher stand pipe and trap at the wall and attached the dishwasher drain hose to the garbage disposal and run pipe from the disposal trap straight in the wall.
the garbage disposal clogs up and backflows water into the dishwasher I rather have them separate not easy
Can't have too many traps ya know.
@@jason9154 Does that happen often? I feel like more often there will a clog downflow and now you're just spilling water all over inside the cabinet for who knows how long instead of being able to see it inside your sink.
Back seat driver here: I would have taken out the p trap first, installed the new "magic faucet"(neural Link 😊) and then finished the updated rigid draining. Heaving to reach all the way in the back with less obstacles feels easier to me.
I was getting ready to dog you out about the flex pipe.Stuck around until the end. YOU DA MAN.
7:20 that Knipex flip!!! 🤣💕👏👍 nice job handy, especially on the wacky robot faucet 😆
Why not knock out the plug in the disposer and connect the dishwasher hose to that, which it's there for. And you could just have one trap. Having that vertical pipe could be a disaster. If the line is plugged and that pipe fills up that's going to overflow and flood underneath the sink from the dishwasher. You plumb it into the disposer then it fills up to sink.
Two traps better than one!
Can’t beat the hammer flip.. but the bionic channel lock flip was pretty entertaining 😅, nice easy work Handyman!
Sigh, double P-trap, Santee on the standpipe side of a P-trap, wet venting two fixtures improperly…using one P-trap, hate from San Diego.
Should have put dishwasher drain on disposal and an air admittance valve where the DW drain is now. I foresee sewer smell otherwise.
Do they have a slow drain at that sink? I would have put a one way vent on the vertical pipe, and connect the dishwasher drain into the disposer.
The fact that you tell them in the video that your trolling them and don't care and they still comment is hilarious. Liked and commented for better algorithm handy. keep the vids coming.
Thanks for the help
I know making this comment in and of itself is a self fulfilling prophecy of sorts, but I love how you know exactly how to game the YT engagement algo by just tweaking the nipples of as many people as possible in the beginning of the video, ensuring that those comments keep flowing in. Positive or negative, it's all engagement, baby!
Its a thin line to walk. I'm really not this way in person. But its my job to get views. I try to have fun with it with out pissing off to many people.
It's a fun extra layer of humor as far as I'm concerned. And you're damn good at it.
Dunno about your skills on the tools though...
its not gaming, its something all YT's do.
just curious as to why you didnt simply run the dishwasher hose to the garbabe disposal and then go straight out with one trap?
Is installing a double trap and then stating multiple times that you did the plumbing “correctly” another troll move? If not maybe you should leave it to the master plumbers.
You hear him?
I love the whole wonder of modern day plumbing. I just don't like where they put it. On my belly, under an overhang, through a small opening, and working at a distance at the end of my reach? I grunt like this guy.
Couple of 'NOTAPLUMBER' questions here.......
1. Is the trap coming out of the GD necessary, since there's already a trap at the wall connection?
2. At that 'T' connection against the wall, would a 'Y' connection have provided more 'fluidity' (Is that a word?)?
Just when I thought that I've seen it all! 😂
I guess you didn’t add an air gap for aesthetics? Very nice work Handyman.
Why keep two p-traps?
Hahahaha...I saw that.
Guessing i am contributing to the reason. It is obviously wrong (and he knew it wasn’t the best solution) and all comments contribute to getting this video boosted.
BC he’s not a plumber. Guys like this are the real thieves. Just because you can make something work doesnt mean it’s right. When the professional licensed plumber is unable to snake that sink he’s going to have to quote to re plumb the drain properly and then snake it. But the licensed plumber will be accused of being the thief. Stick to what you know Caulk Boy. Leave the trades to the licensed tradesman.
lol Yeah plumb dishwasher to disposal and have one trap. Double trap is not perfect.
@@ryanmcmahon4692 some places don’t allow it by code but the way he did it was incorrect should have put an 1 1/2 wye at minimum and have two seperate traps or just pipe the dishwasher to the garbage disposal
Why 2 P-Traps?
Well shit. I just looked under the twin sink in my kitchen and found two of those flex pipes. Owned the house for 4 yrs with no problems.
I bet the “master plumbers” can’t flip toss a pair of channel locks as smooth as you do!
no need to clean the pipes before gluing?
You're just lucky that trap didn't burn the place to the ground over the weekend.
🤣
What about the hole in the floor?
You need to get some ratcheting pipe cutters. So much faster than the oscillating tool.
Not a master plumber, but isn't a double P-Trap not recommended? I installed my own Garbage Disposal and I used the existing P-Trap as to not double up.
In theory, isn't it possible for the open standpipe to overflow if the drain line gets clogged and someone overfills the sink? (similar to a washing machine drain pipe)
Do you not like PVC cutters? Or just don’t want to carry around an extra tool?
Do you really need 2 p traps? Can you get away with 1, the one in the rear?
Just missed 1st to comment. Nice work!
What happened about the gash in the floor?
Home Depot was going to remedy it i believe
I love how much you troll.
Looks like they pissed in it just before you got there 😂
Simple
Why the two traps handy?
I'm not a master plumber, but I know when a sanitary T is appropriate, and two traps in series just looks wierd. What does code say?
What’s that noise after you added the batteries and there after? Does those units with motion make a constant low hum??
It was just making some clicks. It doesn't make any noise once it started up.
They also sell an adapter, so you don't need to constantly change batteries.
That's a good idea. Thanks for the tip I will pass it along.
It feels like you came with the p trap and just got that 1 in, habitual inertia. 😊
Purge it!
DOUBLE TRAP! LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!! NOO!!!
Going up, down, up, down, up, down
Electric faucets… what an absolute joke
-Your friendly neighborhood electrician
🇺🇸🤘 Heck Yeah Handy Dandy 🤘🇺🇸
It was correct before you can not double p trap any fixture against code
Holy woke WD40 Batman!
👍👍😎✌️🤟
What...... No app for it? 😄😄😄😄
Plumbing reminds me of a Ford vehicle I recently said "goodbye" to...things just seem to be in hard-to-reach places!
Good riddance to the pos faucet made in the PRC!
Job not done unless that rectangle ceiling light comes out.
Great video and excellent explanation of why you did it. No, I am not a professional plumber, but I have taken a few courses in it - looks like you did it right. What is that "hose" coming in the top of the waste line you attached to. Is that the dishwasher?
Remember shit goes down hill 1/4"per foot down to waste
I would have torn down the house and rebuilt.
. .
Fill the sink up with the plug in. Turn on the disposal. Open the drain. Check the disposal does not blow water out the top pipe due to the pressure it creates.
