I feel like Amy and Tammy have COMPLETELY different attitudes towards weight loss. Amy is focused on everything she’ll gain, such as a baby, better health and longer life. However Tammy was more focused on what she’ll lose, such as the fried food, the sugary foods and not being able to use that damn walker.
I'm really praying for her to get it done, she won't live long like she is, but it is gonna have to be with her wanting to lose weight, the Dr already said she wouldn't live much longer, I don't know how she's still going..

I had a premonition that my mom would die before my dad. Unfortunately that premonition sadly came true. My mom was morbidly obese but she was slightly smaller than Tammy.

I used to be a “hater” - it would honestly upset me to hear amy talk about wanting to have a child, because I considered her having a child at that weight to be child abuse. But I was proven wrong; I think having a child was the driving motivation to lose the weight and it makes me so happy to see it happen. I hope Tammy finds her motivation too.

I also worry about what is put into our foods. My mom grew up in the 60s. She showed me her class pictures. It had to be more than coincidence that in her high school photos there were possibly 2 noticeably overweight students. I looked at both my high school and university group photos and with each additional year there were growing numbers of overweight students. This weight gain trend absolutely must be associated with how our food is genetically changed especially meats.. This trend happened slowly in the passed fifty years. With our foods so heavily processed it is almost impossible to avoid excess sugar, sodium and all the chemicals that animals are fed. There also is an increase in children with food allergies. The connection is terrifying.. I also believe that the huge amounts of sugar and salts are responsible for the massive increase in addictive qualities in our food. We all have to learn how to read labels carefully. Childhood obesity where I live (NYC) is an epidemic. I do not trust all of the fad diets or a vegan way of life, but we should , if possible see a reputable nutritionist before we begin to gain access weight. IMHO all parents should work with the pediatrician or clinic where their children are followed. Much Love & Prayers.

Even when we "fall of the wagon" or have a "slip up", it doesn't mean that we have failed, it just means that we need to get back up & get back on track & GIRL, you have done just that & keep doing it!! Your relationship with food is (of course, you already know this) the problem & its what needs to be changed HOWEVER, it's finding the root of the issues in your brain that is causing it & changing that behavior into something else that you can focus on instead of food. Not starving yourself but learning a whole new way of eating with healthier food & healthier portions & using your "free" time to do something that will keep you busy like starting a craft that maybe you can sell things from maybe start making little necklaces or earrings or sets of the two (I can teach you if you like), learn to crochet, knit or just some craft that would take up time that would help you stay busy, does that make sense? It's not easy, trust me, I know all too well. I'm speaking from experience. Tammy, I BELIEVE IN YOU! YOU CAN DO THIS! YOU CAN LOSE WEIGHT! YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL THE WAY YOU ARE but honey, I WANT TO SEE YOU LIVE MANY MORE YEARS TO COME & that means losing weight. Do it for yourself first!! I'm not even a part of the family when they do 😅. I'm only left with my sister (she's married) and our parents and brother had long passed. Even her 11 year old daughter would sushed my sister if she spoke about school or stuff because as my niece said "let's keep it in the family " . Make time with yours.. I did with mine. Made plans and told them to come when all of us are free... So I cooked and waited... And waited... And waited..... All I got was a text with "sorry, can't come my husband is working "...30 minutes later updates from what'sapp, facebook and instagram of them chilling at the shopping mall. At this point even if I'm dead, she won't even notice... Or even care

Actually it’s most likely due to eating loads of processed foods, not simply carbs and sugars. There are loads of reasons why a person could have issues with their diet, not just a simple one or two things. Also, processed meat has been linked to weight gain.
@@violent_bunny and they are all sugar and carbs. if you cut out carbs, sugar and processed meats with added sugar you will lose weight. I’ve lost 200lbs (no surgery), no longer have Type 2 diabetes and know what I am talking about.

I personally think a person should do their own research on their diet, even consult professionals if need be.
@@MissArtsyDeee sugar/carbs are addictive and in continued large amounts will cause insulin resistance/metabolic syndrome and cravings for more and more. Healthy fats and protein are very satiating and without added carbs and sugars break the craving cycle. Cruciferous veggies add some fiber.
I genuinely feel close to Amy & Tammy. Watching their story & their everyday life I always pray for them.. they are both amazing women. I just hope Tammy finds the strength to pull through yes it’s hard and I couldn’t even imagine food is my kryptonite too! You got this Tammy! Please never give up! Tammy idk if you'll see this comment but from an emotional eater to another it's a tough journey but it feels so much better when you put in the extra effort and watch the weight come off. It's definitely been difficult during this pandemic but watching you guys progress has been helpful to so many people in their own struggles with weight. She was presented with the same opportunities as you, and given how serious she was at the end of last season, she was ten pounds away from making a difference! She could have had the surgery too. I don't know what went wrong, but hopefully, we will see what happened this season. It's a real shame that Tammy had been that close and now seems to have gained it all back plus more. Amy, please don't let your sister drag you down! You seem to understand that this was life and death and beat it. I'm not a fan of Tammy's attitude. Amy tried so hard to get her sister to meet her goals, but in the end Tammy didn't want it enough.

I do not trust all of the fad diets or a vegan way of life, but we should , if possible see a reputable nutritionist before we begin to gain access weight. IMHO all parents should work with the pediatrician or clinic where their children are followed. Much Love & Prayers.

Amy, Girl, I am SOOOOOO PROUD of your progress that you done thus far! Each step in the right direction is a positive step!! Even when we "fall of the wagon" or have a "slip up", it doesn't mean that we have failed, it just means that we need to get back up & get back on track & GIRL, you have done just that & keep doing it!! That alone deserves soooooo many awards!!!! YOU CAN & WILL GET TO YOUR GOAL WEIGHT! I believe in YOU!! Tammy, Sweetheart, I don't believe for one minute that you are happy in your body. I see someone that is hiding her true self through her weight & the only way to cope or the only way you know how to cope with things is to eat. Your relationship with food is (of course, you already know this) the problem & its what needs to be changed HOWEVER, it's finding the root of the issues in your brain that is causing it & changing that behavior into something else that you can focus on instead of food. Not starving yourself but learning a whole new way of eating with healthier food & healthier portions & using your "free" time to do something that will keep you busy like starting a craft that maybe you can sell things from maybe start making little necklaces or earrings or sets of the two (I can teach you if you like), learn to crochet, knit or just some craft that would take up time that would help you stay busy, does that make sense? It's not easy, trust me, I know all too well. I'm speaking from experience. Tammy, I BELIEVE IN YOU! YOU CAN DO THIS! YOU CAN LOSE WEIGHT! YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL THE WAY YOU ARE but honey, I WANT TO SEE YOU LIVE MANY MORE YEARS TO COME & that means losing weight. Do it for yourself first!! All I got was a text with "sorry, can't come my husband is working "...30 minutes later updates from what'sapp, facebook and instagram of them chilling at the shopping mall. At this point even if I'm dead, she won't even notice... Or even care

Sugar and carbs ARE the culprits, NOT the meat.
Actually it’s most likely due to eating loads of processed foods, not simply carbs and sugars. There are loads of reasons why a person could have issues with their diet, not just a simple one or two things. Also, processed meat has been linked to weight gain.
@@violent_bunny and they are all sugar and carbs. if you cut out carbs, sugar and processed meats with added sugar you will lose weight. I’ve lost 200lbs (no surgery), no longer have Type 2 diabetes and know what I am talking about.

@@MissArtsyDeee sugar/carbs are addictive and in continued large amounts will cause insulin resistance/metabolic syndrome and cravings for more and more. Healthy fats and protein are very satiating and without added carbs and sugars break the craving cycle. Cruciferous veggies add some fiber.
I genuinely feel close to Amy & Tammy. Watching their story & their everyday life I always pray for them.. they are both amazing women. I am loving your family! They all seem to have the same sense of humor and love as you do and I can't wait until it drops. All though it sucks to see Tammy like this, it's also hard to feel sorry. She was presented with the same opportunities as you, and given how serious she was at the end of last season, she was ten pounds away from making a difference! She could have had the surgery too. I don't know what went wrong, but hopefully, we will see what happened this season. It's a real shame that Tammy had been that close and now seems to have gained it all back plus more. Amy, please don't let your sister drag you down! You seem to understand that this was life and death and beat it. No amount of plea will help someone this far down the rabbit hole, they have to learn to climb themselves out eventually. Stay safe!
