Thanks for your support Jerome, it means a lot. Ricky
Thanks for sharing very interesting and clearly explained :)
Ricky, man i gotta say i love your videos, so much so i bought your book, not only for myself, but i sent my son one as well, i think you have some of the absoloutly best videos on youtube on these subjects, youre obviously very knowledgeable, and youre a great teacher man, keep up the awesome work brother
Terrific video. Will be great if you can do this also for strings 1-3 , and also for strings 3-5. Thanks much!!!!
Great suggestion!
@@rickysguitar Thanks so much. I LOVE your channel. It is probably the best channel in how it's simplifying the guitar. Truly fantastic work. For years I've struggled with how to "unlock" the guitar, and your channel is the best resource out there to do that. I'm not trying to be nice saying that, it is just true. GREAT WORK man!
You're not wrong Shalom 👍@@shalomshalom735
Thanks Ricky - always refreshing and helpful !
Great reminder Rick, I’m stuck in the same habits of playing full chords.
You know, sometimes I forget how awesome these little voicings are. Especially in a band scenario where you need to leave space for other instruments. I also find these are great for older fingers!
Great lesson Ricky!! Thanks you.
Love these three string triads!!
Cheers Rickster!!!
Subbed. Thanks. This was awesome. Hope your channel has more of this type of stuff.
These videos and the book are so helpful. It would be nice to have the lesson number/page number here so that we could find it easily in the book. Thanks!
Eyup Rick! This lesson isn't in the book. Might be in the next one though!
@@rickysguitarWell, that makes sense. I'll get that next book when it's ready - thanks!
Eyup Ricky, imagine my surprise when I just discovered you on UA-cam! Nice to see you are doing well, all the best.
Hi Ricky - I love this lesson! I'm trying to figure out how to "jam" along with songs, and it's pretty confusing. This is a real insight into how to find chords and notes that I never thought of before. Thanks!
Great lesson as usual...
Thank you Ricky.
Nice one, mate. Cheers
Looking good, Ricky!
Ricky, I really think you're the best guitar teacher on YT. Do you give private lessons?
i order your book Ricky from lulu , thank for your great work .
Well that's great lesson Ricky .......no idea about what it's all about But I sense it's REALLY important.
Got your book and working my way through, and I will catch up 😬soon.
Keep it up, you're a master of communication, love your lessons 👍
I’ll be doing a follow up! Fear not!
Great video! Thank you. You’ve got a new subscriber! Any chance you could do a lesson on the seven chord triads elsewhere on the neck starting from a different shape? Eg. A shape at the fifth fret? Thanks!
Thanks
Best 🎉🎉😊 ever
Do you have a video that highlights the 5 root 3 idea you sometimes discuss? Thanks!
Hi Ricky. Love your videos - lot's of character and good fun. With your accent, I can't help but feel that I'm being taught by Pete Shelly (RIP). I just bought your book and I'm finding it very helpful... thanx.
Anyway, I do have one question that's bothering me and perhaps you can shed light on it. Some basic chords have strings that are not played, for example, for the C chord, the top E string is not to be played. Why not? If you look at the triad for C, it's CEG, so, as I understand it, the three main notes of the C chord are CEG... why is it that the top E string is left out of the C chord on the guitar? It's an E, isn't it?
