@@rickysguitar Thanks so much. I LOVE your channel. It is probably the best channel in how it's simplifying the guitar. Truly fantastic work. For years I've struggled with how to "unlock" the guitar, and your channel is the best resource out there to do that. I'm not trying to be nice saying that, it is just true. GREAT WORK man!

Great reminder Rick, I’m stuck in the same habits of playing full chords.

You know, sometimes I forget how awesome these little voicings are. Especially in a band scenario where you need to leave space for other instruments. I also find these are great for older fingers!

Hi Ricky - I love this lesson! I'm trying to figure out how to "jam" along with songs, and it's pretty confusing. This is a real insight into how to find chords and notes that I never thought of before. Thanks!

Great video! Thank you. You’ve got a new subscriber! Any chance you could do a lesson on the seven chord triads elsewhere on the neck starting from a different shape? Eg. A shape at the fifth fret? Thanks!

Hi Ricky. Love your videos - lot's of character and good fun. With your accent, I can't help but feel that I'm being taught by Pete Shelly (RIP). I just bought your book and I'm finding it very helpful... thanx.
Anyway, I do have one question that's bothering me and perhaps you can shed light on it. Some basic chords have strings that are not played, for example, for the C chord, the top E string is not to be played. Why not? If you look at the triad for C, it's CEG, so, as I understand it, the three main notes of the C chord are CEG... why is it that the top E string is left out of the C chord on the guitar? It's an E, isn't it?
