@@nomada6789 No, the sentence is correct. You cannot use a negative with a negative because it becomes a positive. To say "I can't never understand..." means that you can.
You can either say "I can (will) never understand..."
      Or "I can't understand..."
Not "I can't never understand..." as you suggest.
Anyway, I hope that Isabella did not suffer. This is my prayer. And also, eight years is not long enough. He'll still be a relatively young man when he is released; and will have access to his daughter as well as other unsuspecting women.

@@coriiiiii2558 Isabella's family got royally F'ed over on everything. They lost their daughter, grand-daughter, and don't even get compensation. The killer gets only 8 years, keeps the baby (which the parents will have groomed to love in the time he's in jail) - and when he gets out he'll return as a hero to his daughter just in time to swindle her trust fund. . 8 years only for killing his wife is pathetic
. Leaving the little one with the family of the killer, meaning when he is out he can disappear with her and God knows what he will do to her as she will be worth a lot of money
. Isabella was murdered, it would have made sense to return Amelia with the deceased one

I mean...what the?! I was going to comment separately after watching this, but came across your comment with similar sentiments. I don't understand: 1) why not charge 1st degree murder? There were obvious signs of intentional PLANNING! I don't understand the manslaughter charge. I really don't. 2) So, 8 years is the MAXIMUM sentence for manslaughter? NO WONDER Lewis copped to the charges! My God...8 years is the blink of an eye timewise for what he did...I just can't believe this!!! 3) I can only imagine the prosecution put this deal forward because they didn't think their case was strong, but regardless, it just looks like laziness & lack of motivation to pursue the outright murder of a woman in the prime of her life. 4) The sentence for Lewis is not justice, IMO.
8 years for manslaughter...again...this is the maximum amount of time? No wonder people don't think twice & give in to murderous tendencies with such crappy sentence guidelines. I bet someone could get caught with a pound of pot & get sentenced longer than 8 years. This is just so very wrong!

The judge hadn't put together that this human waste of a person set this woman up, to kill her, to take her assets and to take her from her baby. Poor poor Amelia. What an extremely selfish monster whom she must call Dad, who will be out of jail in no time & will probably change his name & then have more opportunities to do additional sinister things to more unsuspecting women. Unfortunately for them we live in a society where every aspect of a crime is recorded and documented. When that child gets older she will seek out the truth about her mother’s death and whatever manipulation they may try to cover up their son’s disgusting actions will not hold up compared to the documented evidence.

What a piece of garbage. American law is also a wreck. I hope in that time they can get legal custody.

I’m starting to think the main crime channels just bounce the same story off each other.

Another interesting story Kevin. Great storytelling from you and keeping it unbiased too. That’s a feat in itself. Good job

8 years is a pathetically weak sentence, but at least that creep won't be able to get any of her money. He will also have 2nd degree murder on his record, which will prevent him from getting a passport to most countries. And he will have a hard time finding a good job with his prison record.

Most companies don't even verify background for employment lol. If he can do the job he'll be hired. I know this from documentaries murders released from prison live a good life with good paying jobs better than you and I. That is the least of his worries I'm sure.

So, the murderer's parents get custody of the child? The creepster/killer gets only a few years? Justice was not served in this instance.
