I will never understand why sentences for attempted murder doesn’t get the same sentences as murder. Just because the suspect “failed” at the murder, they are just as dangerous as perps who succeeded at killing their victim.
Well probably because in this case it would be impossible to prove he would’ve actually killed her had the brother not intervened - since he could’ve just stopped at any point. Now let’s say her shoots her in the head and she miraculously survives? Then yeah, totally should get the same punishment as if he had succeeded
Attempted murder I’d say is just as deserving of a sentence of life as conspiracy to commit murder Especially when you consider ppl who pay/contract someone/others for murder get sentences of life even if the other person had no intention of following through &/or is an undercover agent
Quite often attempted murder has little chance of succeeding (vide that felon who jumped the lady judge in a full room; here its is in water with people around) so they kind of accept he would love to kill but at the same time it is silly, not fully serious (when attempt is serious the verdict is harsher!)
His equally narcissistic father enables it too. That's why he called back 911 to see if they recorded their conversation. He didn't want to look bad in front of other people.
Absolutely. That guy definitely deserves some serious respect for manning up and standing against his brother (twice, in fact -- both the night of the incident, and then again in court).
I live in Nashville and many years ago we had an attorney, Perry March, whose wife, Janet, went missing and it was suspected that he killed her. To get away from detectives who were asking him questions about his wife, he didn't just leave the state, he left the country! He moved to Mexico. His wife's body was never found but even without her body they had him extradited from Mexico and he was tried here in Nashville and was found guilty, and he has been in prison for a couple of decades now. Her body still had not been found. In this case about Tyler Mook, when he has served his time in prison and is released, his brother had better watch his back. If he was willing to murder Shelley because she "disrespected him" in front of his family, I cannot think that Tyler will let his brother prevent him from murdering a girl he had apparently decided to murder and then even go so far as to testify against him without trying to take some action against his brother. I think it's a very safe bet that he will be looking for a chance to harm his brother. BTW, kudos to the brother for doing the right thing and preventing the bad guy from harming someone even though the bad guy was his brother.
I tend to think he will be more aware and realize if he did anything to his brother he'd be the prime suspect and I also tend to believe he won't have all the anger he had in hime at the time his brother testified. He will have been in prison for at least 6-9 years by time he's released so I think he went through the anger process early in his incarceration. By time he's released I think he will have just accepted it and be glad it's over and just hope that the Tennessee case doesn't pop up in him. I'm sure he won't have contact with his brother but I don't believe he will be "after him" so to speak. Just my opinion. Doesn't mean it's true.
@Nunya Bizness look I've done 9 years in prison and I'm pretty sure you haven't so I can speak from experience on this. The chances are that he's gone through all 're emotions and by the time he's released there's a really good chance he's over it

I am addicted to That Chapter (Mike) I came across your channel and have been binging! Kp up the great work 🤗
Me too! I’m all caught up on Mike’s videos and found Kevin yesterday! Been watching since.
Agreed! Mike is great! I’ve been watching this channel for a little while and it’s great too! A couple of my favorites!
Me too😃
@@shannonigans2220 - me too ! By the way I have a sister named Shannon who says she gets up to 'shannonigans' too !
to be fair, Kevin's JTL is better than Mike's The Chapter.
The brother is a great man. I'm glad he spoke out against his evil Tyler. I hope they find his wife so he can serve time for that too and NEVER gets out. Poor lady
Really interesting story man, seriously you are the most compassionate and detailed crime storytellers right now.
Cheers! Appreciate that
Justice can be so slow. Those 2 girls looked so similar. Praying for justice for shelley
First thing I noticed actually.
The bad boys that women love. It always ends badly.
@@carpediem4512 NOT true tho! I know MANY ex gang members and convicted felons that got with a female that's a "normie" and it worked out. I'm actually one of them!! Been with my wife 17 years now🤘
He definitely had a type. Not just looks either. They both had young daughters
Him calling back 911 and asking what happens on that open line call screams guilt...
I’m enjoying your channel as your presentations are so well discussed and your calm persona is very relaxing. Stay safe & well❣️
Hi Kevin. THANK YOU.
His parents or one of them helped him get rid of Shelley's body. I just hope they find some sort of evidence to put this narcissist in jail for life. If not, he will kill again. I am in awe of his brother being such an upstanding guy in this family.
sometimes one person in a family survives the dysfunction and abuse ....kudos to the brother's enormous courage.
I wonder if he realizes not absweribg questions is essentially an admission of guilt
Mrs.Mook was my 8th grade english teacher. I remember the day prior to her going missing she would come and sit by me and a friend and talk about music, movies etc and mentioned not looking forward to having to go to her ex’s to pick her daughter up. I remember the next day she was out, then the next then the next. A week later they pulled us into the auditorium and told us she was missing. also Harris Middle School is in Shelbyville, not Murfreesboro
she wasnt picking up her kid though...
Insightful, well researched coverage. Thanks Kevin. 💃🙏🤗👌
It amazes me how many women get involved with men like Tyler.
Robins mom “I told you soooo”😂
Another great video. Your channel is definitely one of the best true crime channels.
Binge worthy! So happy I found your channel!
Her angels dialed that 911! It’s amazing
I feel bad for Robin. You can see that she's terrified even to be in the same courtroom as Tyler.
Andrew is the hero here, he did the right thing to testify against his brother.
I wonder how Andrew relationship with his parents, turned out after that. Because clear his parents defended his evil brother.
"He simply lost his temper" Is that what we calling attempted murder these days
You are a very good storyteller, I love watching your videos…thank you🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️
Just found you and love the way you present cases. Good work.
Hi from the UK, just found your channel and love it.
Welcome!
@@JustThoughtLounge Thanks ❤
Well done to the brother, can’t have been easy to testify against him.
He is a monster…..keep him in jail, else he’ll do this again.
I think they should look at his mom as an accomplice
Wow, Lily is sounding like a really good witness here; you know what they say: Kids don't lie.
Anyhow, have to finish watching the rest of this one tomorrow... it is way past my bedtime! But totally been enjoying your videos!! This is another case I've never heard of. Amazing channel you've got here!
EDIT: I'm back to finish the video. How TH does one butt-dial 911, of all people?!? And thanks for putting up subtitles on that of what you could decipher. I had no idea what they were saying, period.
🎭Thank God that Tylers brother has a soul and prevented the girls drowning...Kudos!! you you young man for doing the right thing...Peace to you and your family...
By far the best channel for this type on content. None of the victim is always=good, murderer is always bad=nonsense, just the facts.
I absolutely love your show. Thank you!
I inadvertently made a butt call to my mum during a violent incident with my ex boyfriend. She immediately phoned me back which I think probably saved me from serious injury.
Tyler just seems so smug…
G'day from Australia, thank you for the always respectful and factual videos. Great channel.
I only found this channel the other day, after it turned up in my feed, and I'm making my way through Kevin's content. The cases he chooses to cover are super interesting.
Thanks Les! Glad you’re enjoying them
I liked how Shelley's mother stood by Robin during the trial!
Great stuff Kevin. What a story that was!😮
Hi Kevin ☺️ Thank you for the great historical case studies and excellent entertainment!
Great job, very sad story. Keep up the great reporting
Thank you Kevin.. Keep up the good job. Keep posting good stories 👍🥰
If you jump into a body of water and continue to push someone under, what do you think he's trying to do? Of course he was trying to kill her!🤷🏻♀️
Still hoping the Seth Techel case is coming 🙂 thanks for another great video to enjoy!
I don’t think you’ll be waiting long to see that one on here 😉
Oh NO, he has not been charged yet regarding the murder of Shelley Mook... this man should never be free again, or he will kill again... as for the 2nd person, and i insist it's only an feeling, but I strongly think it's the dad helping him
Cats.Addict a* feeling
i agree
Very good episode, very informative, learned details, I did not see on dateline 2020 or 48 hrs type of shows or read online..
Great show. Thank you.
I've heard of coddling your kids but these parents are next level!
Thank you for all your work you put into making your videos great , and all your other work you do in put in to get them all ready to uploading .
Thank you for watching
Marrying one’s high school sweetheart, esp if it’s your first love, doesn’t mean he won’t be a cheater. Just speaking from experience.
Thank you for such good work. Your subscriber numbers are gonna grow
When someone refuses to answer certain questions it is now obvious they are hiding information about said questions.
Thank you for taking the Time so we can Watch this Today. JTL are amazing thank you for all that you do. All the videos are great very well put together and easy to watch. One of the Best out there if not thee....
I'm enjoying the video the way you explain them
Glad you’re enjoying it 👍🏻
The biggest mystery in this story is how that face could be loved by any woman.
He looks like that hyper realistic Squidward painting
😂😂😂😂
What is a squidward?
I bet you anything Tyler's father helped him dispose of the body and burn the car. This is one of the worse cases of enabler parents I've seen.
Tyler clearly killed Shelly. He covered his tracks very well.
Kudos to the brother for testifying! He’s definitely guilty for his ex disappearance 😡
The 911 oopsie is the craziest coincidental situation I can imagine. Assuming the call was truly a mistake you have one of two options.
It happened at just the right moment, a billion to one odds, to overhear the incriminating discussion. Or Tyler talks about it non-stop all day everyday and the phone buttdialed and there you have it.
His whole demeanour screams guilty
I've been a murderphile for decades and I really enjoy your videos!! TY for your hard work!!
Thank goodness she was smart enough to press charges against him.
She's very Lucky that his brother saved her. With those facts that were made available to her there is no way in hell she should have ever spoken to him again.
What a mean punk. He definitely killed her. He so brazenly attacked another girlfriend in front of other people! Wonder why he was so arrogant and brazen at this point?? What an evil narcissistic person.
Great video! Love the way you have the information set up! Great footage videos pictures footage excellent job! Thank you for all your hard work! He sure sounded worried after he called 911 operator back! Well a little bit of justice was served so that was good..
You can tell he's guilty just by looking and listening to him!!!
I live in Murfreesboro and idk how I’ve never heard about this. I can tell where many of those photos where taken around town. That breaks my heart
I appreciate your work
Tip: Don't chew gum while being interviewed. Makes you look guilty AF.
Great script and commentary as always
He’s so guilty of murder. He has an arrogant and selfish demeanor, the kind that gives him the right to take a life (in his mind). Psychopathish
I’ve never hated a stranger as much as I do Tyler
Yes the first time I heard about this I was impressed by his brother for doing the right thing and just disgusted but the one question the dirtbag did answer spitefully on the stand was if they did sleep together the night she disappeared
