Mothership Zeta wasn't that bad, right?
Never played it. Was the only DLC I missed. lol
The final battle prep thing glitched so I couldn’t finish it 😢
it had issues but i liked the DLC
I found it fun inside the game but honestly I'm not a fan of aliens being significant in fallout lore wise, I'd rather they'd stay an easter egg.
I really liked it, I love aliens and the whole concept was fun. My only complaint would be the final battle which is underwhelming at best
I just love how much hidden lore can be found in the fallout world
My personal greatest wish, aside from FNV 2, would be a mod that makes it so you listen to notes/emails/etc.. through your Pipboy without having to pause and read. Maybe use a text to speech software, or better yet have someone read it all out. But that's probably too much to ask. Would make it so much more enjoyable for me though, I love that the lore exists, but I just can't be bothered to read it all. Watching videos like this will do.
That's probably the one thing Bethesda definitively beats Obsidian at IMO, that and the world space is usually more interesting to explore. New Vegas great but the world space being designed as one linear path on the beginning hurts the quality a bit, and fewer locations exist just for the player to explore and instead are mostly related to quests a lot of times.
@@toxicKorgi That’s probably because fallout new Vegas has a ton more quests than fallout 3 tbh. And you’re wrong about there being fewer locations in new Vegas. There are more locations in new Vegas than fallout 3 in base games.
But, the Capitol Wasteland is more fun to play in than new Vegas so that’s probably why people have that perception.
@@treswolves5512 I don't mean locations as in the number. There's fewer locations in NV that are just for exploration as most are tied to quests in some way. Which while cool to have them tied to it leaves less room to explore and find random things.
There are only two types of people, those who hate Mothership Zeta, and those who love it.
I was to young to understand what i was doing in mothership zeta fallout 3, i might have to play it again.
And those that think it’s okay. Those that don’t have an opinion on it. Those that never played it. Those that don’t care. And on and on.
I just finished Fallout 3 with the DLCs Broken Steel, Mothership Zeta and Point Lookout. All I’m going to say on Mothership Zeta is that I will always love the feeling of isolation and the sense of loneliness they put you in… for all of five minutes before they give you the Frozen Fools. The DLC’s exploration of what the Zetans were capable of was cool, but they’d be doing the people of Earth a favor by destroying them all with a death beam.

I played mothership zeta back in 2010 and me being the naive child I was had nightmares about aliens keeping me prisoner with samurai and cowboys Trying to explain this to my dad definitely raised a few eyebrows
I love how the aliens inadvertently disapproved themselves on accident by jacking the safe.
New theory. Following the events of Fallout 3, the Lone Wander and their followers returned to the Zetan ship and used it to travel to their homeworld to hit the little bastards where they lived.

Just breaks the narrative for me. I always do it last, because if I have an alien mother ship, then why the hell would I be on the ground with raiders around? I mean if I hadn’t already, I’d immediately level Paradise Falls’ slavers
The main weapons of the ship might be too powerful, from what we see it destroys a whole zipcode of canada/us in a single shot.

I have a suggestion for a future video:
Since there are so few people that extensively played Fallout 76, there are therefor a lot of people who have missed out one of the best questlines in that game: Mary's little Lamb. This is about the Sheepsquatch and the cryptid hunters the "Truth Seekers". The last holotape before the climax is just great!
It’s not that they missed the quest line is it, they didn’t play the game in the first place.

Synonymous May I suggest a video on the various mythical creatures of fallout 76? The mothman is extremely interesting due to its nature of being wise and hostile depending on the encounter.
That would just be a cryptozoology video instead of a fallout video.
Morley is the brand of cigarettes from the X-Files, likely to the refrence to the man who smokes them and is a member of the alien conspiracy. "The Smoking Gun" is likely a tounge-in-cheek to the Smoking Gunmen, side characters in X-Files.

I thought I remembered their newspaper being called the smoking gun as well, it's actually the lone gunman. Still, 3 guys writing a newspaper about a government coverup, the Morley reference, and other similarities say it probably is x-files
Kinda makes you wonder how they developed laser weaponry. Maybe that place that didn't exist had a prototype laser weapon also derived from zatan tech that was never recovered by Quaere Verum. I mean they have giant death rays similar to a laser on the mother ship, perhaps the smaller one's that have a habit of crashing into the planet have smaller defensive laser weapons attached to them and the government recovered and revers engineered them. Just an idea.
Well the laser itself was invented in 1958 if that helps your frame of reference I don't see why they couldn't have done the same thing in fallout the technology hadn't diverged that much from the timelines split at that point
Dr. Morley's name might be a well hidden Easter egg for the X-Files.
The Cigarette Smoking Man always smoked a pack of Morleys
(Side note: Morley's is a fictional brand used in several shows and movies as a stand in for Marlbourgh due to tobacco advertising laws)
So dr morley was probably the mole based of that alone lol

Destroy All Humans and Fallout have the alien design common in the 50s, so they naturally look very similar.

God I wish I could play fallout 3 again..... I mean yeah Bethesda at Long fucking last removed GFW from the steam version but on Windows 10 and 11 the game is still an absolute brain aneurysm to get running.....
I gave up cause I couldn't even start the game......
Yeah, I only haven't replayed Fallout 3 because I am sick of spending hours upon hours getting Bethesda games to playable states, then still having to deal with all the bugs not even community patches can fix. I honestly think Fallout 3 isn't good enough to bother getting running. The sheer amount of garbage you need to skip, not to mention it's Vanilla ending being completely unsatisfying garbage.
It works almost perfectly with TTW, apparently porting it to new Vegas made it run better somehow

As far as dlc fr9m that time period is concerned I think zeta along with all of the fallout 3 dlc is tip top 10 outta 10 bb
Zeta was my least favorite DLC. I just don't need aliens in this universe. If they're just studying Earth, that's fine, but eh.
Aliens appeared on Fallout 1, potentially giving you the Physic Nullifier, reappearing in FNV.
@@insomniagobrrr5542 True. People always call this dlc too goofy when Fallout 1 had the tardis and godzilla along with South park references, and 2 literally had ghosts and talking radscorpions playing chess. Fallout has always been dumb fun mixed with serious stuff.

I kind of find it funny, you open the safe, only to find what to you is just a slightly different version of the plasma pistols that you had so commonly found throughout the wasteland, not really concerned about the history behind this particular plasma pistol, as much as you are concerned about surviving your current situation.

I just started my fallout 3 playthrough on Steam Deck. Man it's been a good 10 years since I played fallout 3.
If you are interested in it, then I have some video concept for you:
First, the fallout 76 mole miners, but maybe pointless, quite similar to the tunnelers, but more human like creatures. Or the mole miners the pre version tunnelers?
The other thing is: Fallout tactics story, and some interesting factions what my favorite, the ravens, and the hole game story. Ok i know not cannon, but i think you made a great videos, so this is not a problem for you.
The third is the pitt f3 version and f76 version.

Weird how I enjoyed mothership zeta the most, spetially because it took me 4 hours of continuous crashes to make the dlc start, wish it lasted more, disappointed they only did a small cameo in fallout 4.

Okay so the Enclaves plan was to travel in space and colonize mars.. How sick would it be if the lone wnaderer was roaming mars killing alien's and enclave and vault-tec and shittt
NOTE : Vault-tec is in space as we speak in f76, the craters space station that crashed has vault tec skeletons in the shuttles, we ever only see vault tec skeletons in vaults and Vault-Tec Rep guy, so seeing them in their means somethings..
@@enclavelieutenant8614 doesn't necessarily mean they are in space. They could have sent some people up, then something failed causing the crash.

The idea and setting was fun, but replays are a chore cause the dlc is just a rail shooter that doesn’t hold up my attention once the novelty wears off. It’s almost as bad as Operation Anchorage in that regard.
Well at least anchorage is really short and give u access to really nice gear early on(you can go there just after leaving the vault) meanwhile zeta .... There is no point playing It ever again
