My 2 cents: I use a kettlebell. I get in my golf posture and swing it back and forth like a golf swing with my arms going from 9 o'clock to 3 o'clock. It gives you the feeling of how the feet, legs, and hips can be used to propel the upper body in the swing.
clubshaft across glutes is a good-sense drill in feeling a pelvis turn/shoulder turn. Helps in the squat downturn also. Keep axillas tight, and trail elbow in!
Ernie Els said he tries to turn his bellybutton 6 inches to the right on the backswing, reversing on the downswing. I tried it, works like charm. The only thing that I added was to that I feel was I try to keep weight on front foot as I move the bellybutton to the right. I feel this creates more torsion or spring like pressure.
Hey Zach - Really enjoy your coaching - thanks for all the great content. I'm interested in checking out your online courses, could you tell me the difference between the 3 courses you offer? Not sure which one would be best for me. I struggle with lack of lower body movement and lack of rotation so I end up coming over the top, standing up, flipping, and hitting very high short shots with no club shaft forward lean. Thanks.
I purchased the ballstriking blueprint, now it’s free. Should I wait until the posture pod is free? Personally I thought this tip was great manly because my upper body does all the work.
I think you are referring to the "Magic Move" training which is a shorter series we give out for free. The Ballstriking Blueprint is the full program which we sell on the membership site!

That is a great drill for sure. Jack Nicklaus did it every day.
Great advice Coach! Thanks.
You bet!

Be careful with that thought, a lot of times that will cause you to stand up on the downswing.

Excellent- just excellent advice - thanks
Very welcome
@@ZachAllenGolf I can’t find the posture pod link - will it be on your website please / also the blueprint
Just what I needed!
The posture pod needs to have force plates built in, like boditrak or swing catalyst.
Best tip to use ground more

I think this title is a little misleading. You want to turn the shoulders, but from the hips, not from the arms.
Starting with the hips doesn’t work for me. When I do, I tend to turn my shoulders too flat and not get enough tilt. We all have different triggers
