A couple of things made this game powerfully involving. It raises adrenaline quite well. One was the AI of the xenomorph. When u realise its different to the other in-game AI and its actually working to systematically hunt u down. The other for me was when a xenomorph stands in front of u - u realise actually how massive they are from the first person perspective. Oh and like any good movie it uses sound very very well
Xenos have some of the most confusing life cycles I’ve ever heard of. So they can come directly from this black goo being ingested by a human male who mates with a human female and impregnates her with a trilobite that grows to full size before impregnating an engineer through face hug to become a deacon. They can also come from alien plants that release spores that goes into a human ear canal and becomes a back burster. They can also come from an alien egg sac directly that produces a horse shoe face hugger that directly implants a chest burster into any organism. Who designed this shit?
This game is so good. I remember being terrified in the beginning with literally nothing. As the story unfolds and more and more tools become available to the player, suddenly every xenomorph see you are going "Get away from here you, bitch" mode. The game simulates how Ripley felt throughout the movies well.

In Aliens 3, it stated a face hugger snuck into the ship when she escaped with Newt and Bishop and marine boy. When she crashed on the prison planet, her pod was already broken into and she was impregnated by the face hugger.
Here's the story: Amanda's mother, Ellen Ripley, receives signals from a mysterious planet and goes to investigate. She encounters dangerous aliens but manages to escape and is rescued by a team. Later, at Gateway Station near Earth, she warns against using the aliens for biological warfare, but her pleas are ignored. She ends up in jail and eventually sacrifices herself on Fiora 161. Just finished my second playthrough ever since its release year and I’ve cranked the all the graphics settings to max and got a constant 120fps, yet I couldn’t get the same graphics quality as your footage, as mine seems to have a more grainy texture and less color contrast. Great video by the way :)
so... David created the xenomorphs? because i keep reading that this was not the case. yet here, David is told to have created the facehuggers and the first xeno. where is David? i wanna have a chat with him xd
Isolation takes place in the Sevastopol, a space station similar to the Nostromo ship model. Think of these space stations like a car series lol. It's only in the DLC that you explore the original Nostromo.
They find the black box of the ship Not the ship itself. A black box is something that holds information and placed on a placed that would make it unlikely to be destroyed, so that in worst case scenario, at least some information about what happened continues to exist. This isn't a alien concept, its a general scifi concept.
I don’t know. Yes, Alien Resurrection was the weakest of the films, but you can definitely see the germinating ideas Whedon was playing with that ended up blossoming with Firefly and Serenity.
In the timeline, is this before or after the events of Alien: Out of the Shadows when Ellen Ripley wakes up the first time? Since that novel also is set between Alien and Aliens, I'm not sure which happens first chronologically.
I bought this game because everyone said it was so good. Im a few missions in and I kinda never wanna play it again. Not because its “terrifying” as some would say, but its literally not scary at all. The droids aren’t even good in the story and have are so annoying. The “atmosphere” that everyone says is soooo cool is literally not….. everything seems the same. Its a confusing maze with no help to get to where you need to go at all in the game. Such a confusing letdown of $30.
Each to their own I guess. It's a slow burner for the first couple of hours but then it kicks off and it gets incredible. You'll only really get to enjoy it fully if you watched the films before hand, because it's such a faithful recreation in terms of how everything looks and sounds. Exactly like the movies. That's the atmosphere people refer to. Also, you say you aren't scared, but just wait until you're hiding from the Alien in a vent, only to realise it's crawling up behind you inside the vent. You'll see...

Just finished my second playthrough ever since its release year and I’ve cranked the all the graphics settings to max and got a constant 120fps, yet I couldn’t get the same graphics quality as your footage, as mine seems to have a more grainy texture and less color contrast.
Great video by the way :)
Thanks! Yeah the game runs real smooth. I used the AMD Radeon Capture Software. Runs super nice and captures crystal clear footage 👍🏻
Probably one of the best horror games of all time!
This and Dead Space.
People really should watch prometheus and alien covenant
That's not the first facehugger and that's not a xenomorph. The eggs already existed before david
I like to think the black goo comes from face huggers.
hell yeah, I love aliens content!
i love this, ive played all level, from easy to hell mode... 1 thing i don't like is the ending. could've been better
I've never found aliens very scary, but this game is dope
What an amazing episode! Thank you ;D
dude this video is awesome - so much detail
The Number One Horror Survival Game.
Great vid! Subscribed!
Knowing weyland-yutani, they probably gave her cancer just out of spite for ruining their chance at servastapole
Fantastic explanation!
so... David created the xenomorphs? because i keep reading that this was not the case. yet here, David is told to have created the facehuggers and the first xeno. where is David? i wanna have a chat with him xd
One of the GREATEST and scariest games' ever created.
The Xenomorph in Prometheus can't be apart of the original Xenomorph within universe as they existed before the events in AVP
come here after alien romulus trailer drop still amazing Alien-Side Story !!
Would kill for a movie about this.
great summary of the timeline
Wait, didn’t the Nostromo get destroyed in Alien? So why is it in Alien: Isolation
You get to replay the events of alien as a DLC
Isolation takes place in the Sevastopol, a space station similar to the Nostromo ship model. Think of these space stations like a car series lol. It's only in the DLC that you explore the original Nostromo.
They find the black box of the ship
Not the ship itself.
A black box is something that holds information and placed on a placed that would make it unlikely to be destroyed, so that in worst case scenario, at least some information about what happened continues to exist. This isn't a alien concept, its a general scifi concept.
a drone becomes a queen when it is alone
I was going to watch the whole playthrough but it is like 8 hours long 😂 this is better
I don’t know. Yes, Alien Resurrection was the weakest of the films, but you can definitely see the germinating ideas Whedon was playing with that ended up blossoming with Firefly and Serenity.
Isolation explanation ends at 5:12
PLEASE make a sequel!!!
Actually most of the intro is wrong, Alien lore is much different that the deacon being a "Xenomorph"....
In the timeline, is this before or after the events of Alien: Out of the Shadows when Ellen Ripley wakes up the first time? Since that novel also is set between Alien and Aliens, I'm not sure which happens first chronologically.
In d time line AOOTS comes 22 yrs later AI n 20 yrs b4 Ripley (mother) shuttle Narcissus been found in 2179 where Aliens begins.
It took 15 min to explain the story.
It took 15 hours to finish the game.
One thing that puzzles me is how the androids got into the Marshal's bureau if the door was locked?
They’re controlled by APOLLO so they can access pretty much everything
@@GamingHarryYT except of lockers
Me, 7 minutes in. “Oh that’s nice it’s a short video. Wait, there’s more…uh oh”
great explanation, a bit to quick. thanks for tying this into the movies
a queen xenomorph came from eggmorphing
Can you do the entire series of five night at freddys story explain ?
