11:50 they are assuming that you still have the original lights so you can reuse the light socket from the reflector housings.
Also you probably already did it but make sure that it is sealed up very very well. Water was probably getting in through that hole with the wires and causing the light failure.

And you’re the first person I know of who agrees with me about the C6 being the best corvette. C7’s were nice, but too conforming to the trending European design language. And as glad as I am that the C8 is finally Mid-engine, the design didn’t tug on my heartstrings like the ‘09 Blue Devil. Which to this day is still my dream car.
Yeah. I thought the C8 would grow on my but it still looks as ugly as when it was released. The rear nearly just looks like a Camaro.
None of the lines flow on it either. C5 and C6 is prime corvette age and price wise.
@@nuddin99 Yeah I was on the livestream of the C8’s reveal lol. I wouldn’t call it ugly, just similarly to the C7 it’s too form-fitting and forgettable (almost rental car like). But I wasn’t too disappointed knowing the platform has plenty of potential in future remodels.
I agree the C5 was “the most” corvette of corvettes lol. Then the C6 finally gave it the athletic look to match its performance. I just hope Corvette Racing tries recapturing and improving the look that made corvettes the icon that they are, and not keep giving in to the styling cues that are trending at the time..

Also, I'd love to see all these European cars with hard lines like the C7 in the 2014...because, you know, Europe is fairly large and consists of quite a few countries that manufacture A LOT of different cars. Maybe be a wee bit more specific.
@@rustler08 I think your head would pop off if you visited a comment section of a limited edition Ferrari. Believe it or not people have opinions of a design they like, but not (yet) owned.
And if you really need me to spell out the European styling cues of 2014, I’m capable of doing so for you. Just I’d expect someone this invested in car design and my comment would understand the jist of what I’m referring to (not agree, but understand). The C7 was a great looking car, but there was no denying it’s European influence, and it’s departure from the traditional corvette design language.

The laugh when inspecting the carnage was priceless! I've been there with so many guys after helping with performance upgrades on D-max's for truck pulls and drag strips but the light hearted chuckling at inspection time after something grenades NEVER gets old! I think the problem was caused by Rich ditching the custom tag (GMEOVER) for a standard one. The C6 didn't appreciate that.

I didn't even realize until the very end that he decided to go for his drive before he bothered to put the other new headlight or the bumper back on. Who _does_ that? Well, obviously Rich does, but I mean, come on. Do the soldering on the other headlight assembly while you've got the soldering iron set up anyway.
(I've got wicked ADHD, but I'm also compulsive almost to the point of disorder. I could leave the work half finished until the next day, as long as I wasn't going to drive the car. Driving it with only one headlight is just... not an option.)

Oracle is definitively a bad LED lighting company. Lol everything I ever bought from them burned out very quickly and I had expensive replacement problems like you have had!

Remember when LED's were supposed to last 10+ years? Did the Big Bulb industry introduce defects to make them die sooner
@@Chris-rg6nm Part of the problem is that LED bulbs are made up of more than one element: but you need to replace the whole unit at once.
So even if the MTBF is 10 years for each individual LED: when you have 20 of them, one may burn out prematurely.

LEDs are made on a big wafer and the center ones are the expensive and long lasting ones. The outer ones are complete crap. That’s why many corporations will buy the cheaper outer ones that fail (saves costs).

They are very rare and prices are high. And to top that, we have almost the highest fuel prices in the world... But I still want one! I wonder how much miles per gallon it does, realistically

The Hummer H2 was the biggest and absolute worst POS I ever drove in! Of course one will end up on Rich Rebuilds. LOL! And yeah, the C6 Z06 was the best GM product I ever drove on a track and I too would never part with it. It's the definition of true classic Corvette DNA. Not the C8 no matter how great it is an engineering win. Rich didn't disappoint, proving he's the biggest idiot behind a steering wheel.

I recently purchased an atomic ZOd myself... I'm in love and won't ever sell either.
I went with the morimoto tails, red with black center from trs (4th of July sale)...I opted to get the morimoto side markers too because they look more like an OEM reflector when off.
Reason your connector didn't work is because you needed the bulb socket from your original side marker, only thing you don't reuse is the bulb itself
