Finally a video showing why anime is not just for kids. It's not because of the sensless brutality and gore (which in my opinion just makes it more childish), but because of the story, the emotions and the exploration of deep real life concepts. Really well made video, I salute you.
I know right? Like, yes, gore just proves that it's visually not for kids, but what about everything else? anime is about feelings. The pain, the beauty, all the life lessons, and the epiphanies. It's about all of that, and how it can change your life in significant ways, not just traumatize the fuck out of you with gore. Depending on what anime you show a kid, they could grow up to be very mature, romantic, sensitive, and understanding. Not everything will be black and white, and that's how you'd want someone to be, right? When someone uploads a video with only gore anime scenes to prove anime is not for kids, they just show the world that they are incredibly immature, and further prove their point.
I replayed it a lotta times but every time I hear "Nejiii" or "Sorry Sasuke But this is it" I get Goosebumps:and an immense wave of sadness"I guess. I don't know what to call this feeling anymore. Also how is BSD fandom so normal after watching Oda die like that.
I try to persuade all my friends to try out anime but they say no. They won't try it because they think it's childish and weird. But all they are doing is limiting them selves to our reality instead of stepping into countless realities full of amazing wonders. People can just be weird tbh
An 6 year old can watch this video. based on how mature the kid is. I am very mature and i am 10 years old. I can watch a rated r movie whit no probleme.
I think in "anime is for kids" lies also the ideology that to be fantasizing about being anime characters, being in their situations or lamenting over things that happen in anime is kid's thing to do and not a fully grown man that simply cannot "feel" the plot. They are kinda right and kinda not right because they usually say that without giving anime a chance. it just seems and sounds lame or certain specimens saying those things are unable to get any spark out of them. Old farts that don't give an actual opinion with pluses and minuses but just throw in between the lines "anime is for kids" as if it was an argument to their resolve
Anime isn’t cartoons, cartoons are for kids and it’s a TYPE of animation. Anime IS animation and animation is for teens and adults. Remember animation is CINEMA!!
