Finally, a positive representation of what it means to be Catholic. Denigrating the faith has become the cultural norm in the US. My kids are ashamed of their Catholic upbringing and have no idea of the treasure that it is. Thank you so much Mark Wahlburg for this movie-I really loved it.
You know the reason why people are ashamed of the catholicism nowadays? Because of the hypocrisy and multitude of sectarians in the social medias, presenting anti-christianity covered by the catholic blanket, with their weird antisemitism, anti-islam, nationalistic propaganda. It's everywhere, and it's terrible.
@@saintd_ii That would be like saying our own failings are all due to God. Our parents can do their best, and even a perfect Father did His best and His children still rebelled. It's human nature. Saying it's all a parent's fault is cowardly and wrong.
Most younger kids are against Catholicism bc it’s easy to google search all the pedophilia and judgement that comes from the faith. Organized religion as a whole is possibly the biggest scam of all time. Jesus himself was very against capitalizing on the ppl for money and material possessions and always preached outdoors and on mountain tops. You don’t need 4 walls, an offering plate and a man in a robe to have a relationship with God.
@@sharptakes1662 absolutely well said. I’m religious and grew up always being religious and I’ve rebelled a lot from my parents I quite literally thank God for my faith to fix myself but through all of it as you stated, it’s human nature. Everyone (or at least most) people have done this with their parents.
Favorite line in the movie - "We shouldn't pray for an easy life, but for the strength to endure a difficult one. The experience of suffering is the fullest expression of God's love. It is a chance to be closer to Christ." I wept at this.

I can't wait to see this inspiring movie, Father Stu with Mark Walberg here in Australia Bishop Barron!!! I am also glad to see Mel Gibson starring in a movie that is Catholic/ Christian based once again, as well as Jackie Weaver! Both Australian actors starring in this movie that is very rarely seen in Australia, based on the life of a man's conversion to the Catholic faith who becomes a priest!!! I have only seen clips of the movie and so far, I love it!!!
This movie is so moving and I could really relate! 😊 It brought tears to my eyes. 😢 My husband and I lost our 2nd child, 1st boy, newborn baby Zac from placenta abruption when I was going to the hospital to have our baby at 38 weeks pregnant with only somewhat high blood pressure in 2015. Everything else looked good. When he passed after 4 days, we were so devastated and my 2 year old daughter, Natalie, at the time, couldn't really comprehend luckily, but she knows about her sweet Angel brother Zac in heaven. We talk about him often and celebrate his birthdays. Now we have another son, Brady (yes, after Tom Brady of Patriots!! We live in New England! Just like Mark! We still like Tom, even though he's at Tampa Bay😂). Brady was born a few weeks early with a very rare Genetic Syndrome TARP. He wasn't supposed to live past 2. He's now 5 and thriving. We have definitely suffered a lot. I have gotten closer to God. My husband, not so much so I'm hoping this movie will help him. We're both doing great overall. TARP syndrome makes it so Our sweet, happy Brady has Respiratory issues, low muscle tone, can't crawl, we repaired the hole on his heart, he feeds through a Gtube, can't talk yet, but has improved greatly. He loves people, smiles a lot, laughs, rolls, loves tummy time. He only needs the Vent at night now w/o oxygen. He even overcame COVID this past January, we all did and just stayed on Vent more for 3 days. Thank you Mark and everyone for making this Movie!! It's really uplifting and makes you realize Suffering does make you a better person and stronger. Our daughter, now 8, is such a sweetie and more sympathetic then most kids her age.
Very powerful story. Thank you for sharing. May God’s love continue to provide you and little Brady strength. Praying for you and your family. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Saw the movie 4-16-22. It was really good. Mark did a good job as Father Stu. Thanks Mark for bringing a film anyone can relate to. Struggles, temptations, great disappointments, family issues, life changes and suffering. I pray that God blesses this film and Mark Wahlberg and family. All the actors in this film were good.
Absolutely wonderful and inspiring movie. Mark did an awesome job getting this movie made, sharing Father Stu with us thru his eyes and inspiring the faith we all need right now in this moment. It is a must see. I cried thru most of the movie. I suffer from depression and this movie reminded me of a lot of messages that GOD sends us everyday. I lack the patience on some days and it’s hard but everyday is a new day. Father STU, while I only learned of him thru this movie, truly sends a message not only to Catholics but to all who suffer so many obstacles and I know it will touch others hearts and minds to and maybe help them carry their troubles (cross). Rest In Peace Father Stu.🙏🏾
So grateful to Mark Wahlberg for bringing this to us. I just saw the movie and was very moved by it. Fr. Stu became so wise through his suffering, so united with Christ, so gracious in pouring himself out. Fr. Stu, pray for us.
You know, what’s interesting is that we’ve all known this about Mark Wahlberg for years. Even without his saying so. You can truly tell the believers from the unbelieving at a glance. That was something crucial to me at a certain point. I sat in my car at college trying to think of a single fellow-atheist (which I was at that time) who didn’t have a bad attitude, a mean sense of humor, or a lack of generosity of spirit that I didn’t admire and didn’t want for my life. I could came up with a list of people who never professed faith or unfaith but whom I would bet were believers of one faith or another and I later researched them and I wasn’t wrong. Now I even notice those who are believers but insecure in their faith, and I take heart. Guys like this who stuck it out in fields where faith is under extreme pressure, I hope they know they really gave me the courage to become a Christian while I was still navigating the academic and extremely discouraging secular world myself. I thank God for such courage because I’d have been a lost soul without them. Bishop Baron is nothing to shake a stick at either ;D
WoW! Watched the movie last night with my wife and I told her that movie was right on point. Most people, myself included, focus on God for help with mortal life, but the truth is that we need help with our spiritual life. Love through Suffering is what Jesus is all about. When you are at the end of your limits, glorify the Lord through your sufferings, whatever that might be.
Please do more movies like Fr. Stu. It revealed how stories in the Bible aren't just in the past. We all can experience divine intervention and guidance with God as our Director, Counselor, and Father. Keep them nonfiction...this world has too much fiction/fake.
"The prayer for you is: Let me be of service so that I may give. For in the end, it is all about simple service. No matter how difficult the journey, no matter how great the mountain is you must walk up, in the end it is all to assume a role that is yours to assume and to play your small but essential part in this Greater Coordination. Here there are no superstars. Forget all that. Here there are no saviors and avatars and masters. Forget all that. In the Great Coordination, this does not matter. There are no heroes to worship. There is only the great Calling going out into the world, especially at this time in planet Earth because God’s New Revelation is here. It is so rare in the universe that a great Revelation can be given to a whole world, for most worlds do not have the freedom to allow anything like that to happen." A quote from *The Great Coordination* - a teaching from *The New Message from God*
@@LauraBeeDannon It's from one of the teachings from The New Message from God. The New Message is a New Revelation from God to humanity, for these times and for the difficult times now coming on the horizon.
@@oneworldonehome Hi Ivan, This message from "the new message from God" is a very strange one. I've looked a bit into Marshall Vian Summers' message and history and he seems to be a false prophet trying to lure people into his madness. He basically tells us this his writings are the biggest revelation that God has given to the world, which we know isn't true! The biggest revelation that God has given to us is his son Jesus, God incarnate. Unlike what Mr. Marshall tells us, Jesus is our savior and master. I suggest that you watch some of the Bishop's other videos to see who God really is, what the true God has to offer is much richer then what Mr. Summers proposes. Save your soul, don't listen to Mr. Summer, his weird and false message might lead you to hell.
If anybody here meets Mark Wahlberg , tell him I loved him in The Other Guys and that he was the 7th best Human character in the Transformers Franchise
I hope many more actors and influential people get the courage to bring people closer to God like you did. God blessed and inspired you Mark. That’s a great gift. Thank you and God bless you and yours my brother in Christ 🥰

So excited for this movie and it couldn't have come at a better time for me personally. A time when I am struggling with my faith. Thank you, Mark Wahlberg. I can't wait to see this movie.
If Saul can become Paul..... all of us can be better people; even Mark & Mel. At least, they are trying to promote something positive, even if they know that people will start attacking their past and how they are not currently perfect people. No one is perfect; so folks should stop saying that imperfect people should not try to ask everyone to try to be better. ALL of us could and should.
So beautiful pointing out different ways God used different components to chart a path for life. Agree with other comments here I love Bishops conversations and biblical application to teach.

Yeah he's he's scumbag sorry to burst your bubble. He's responsible in blinding an elderly Asian man in his screwed up days. Seriously that's unforgivable. He doesn't really do much to talk about life.
Saw the movie last night and loved it! Thank you and bless you, Mark W, for doing the Lord’s will in this and so many other ways!
Thank you so much for sharing your story! ❤️ I'm so grateful for it - will keep you all as a family (especially young Brady!) in my prayers 🙏🏻
Very powerful story. Thank you for sharing. May God’s love continue to provide you and little Brady strength. Praying for you and your family. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
I will support you, Mark. Thank you for doing this. I saw the movie, and I thought it was very moving, and had brought me closer to God.
Great example of God's love for all of mankind and that He can help save anyone that will trust and love Him with all of self! Great movie of an inspiring story and life! Thank you Mark Wahlberg for bringing it to us and RIP Fr Stu and thank you for your life of inspiration
Father Stu is outstanding. Thanks so much Mark. God bless you bishop Barron, and Mark and all!
Very inspiring testimony on how he starts his day with prayers!!!!
And the mass the center of his faith!
Praise Hod for such a testimony.
Gif bless you Mark Wahlberg
Mr. Walberg and this movie will do much more for the Glory of God than many bishops have done! May God continue to use His Word to guide His people home ❤🙏
I see almost no new movies because they are consistently of poor quality, but this one is a gem and I will be seeing it again. And, again. Mark and Mel were excellent
Well done Mark Whalberg! 👏 Every once in a while we get to do something to highlight the path. Thanks for shining!
It was a wonderful film! I had the good fortune of giving Communion to Mark a few years back when he was in Palm Springs for the Film Festival.
Thanks Father 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Amazing! Looking forward to this film! Kind of reminds me of Fr Calloway's conversion story as well
Thank you for sharing this amazing interview between you Biship Barron and Mark Wahlberg.
So grateful to Mark Wahlberg for bringing this to us. I just saw the movie and was very moved by it. Fr. Stu became so wise through his suffering, so united with Christ, so gracious in pouring himself out. Fr. Stu, pray for us.
Will watch it down under over this weekend god bless ❤️🇦🇺🇺🇸🥰
WENT LAST NIGHT AND WE ALL LOVED IT!!!!!👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🕯🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Saw the movie last night. Everybody needs to see it!
Awesome to see Marky Mark and Bishop talking movies and faith.
Two of my favorite people 🙏🙏🙏🙏 can’t wait🙋🏻♀️
Dear God please bless two faithful gentlemen
Just saw the movie today EXCELLENT
Brilliant. Would be buzzing to see Gibson next!
Boston girl here Mark , thank you for this needed undertaking. Realistic , very moving.
Bishop … feel my love .
God bless both of you, amen 🙏🙏🙏
I did not know Mark Walberg's mother had passed away when making that remarkable movie. May his mother's name be blessed.
Everyone support these non-Disney types of movies, self funded, and go see Father Stu. 🙏❤️🙏
It was so worth the money!
I saw it and I thought it was a fantastic movie... definitely a must-see!
I saw it twice! Once with my boyfriend and then with my parents, everyone loved it!
I intend on doing just that.
Excellent movie.
Thank you for sharing!
Pessimism, sarcasm, vanity, self love are common traits I see in atheists and strong unbelievers.
Thank you for sharing your experience and insights.
@@kfresne3011 there is nothing lazier and simple as pessimism. Having been there often myself.
Well done Mark and Bishop Barron, you're blessed with the Holy Spirit and an example to all sinners giving them hope .
Just saw it today! It was phenomenal. It has everything from making you laugh to my eyes were watering and everything in-between. Easily a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ movie
Yes! We laughed and cried through the film…. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😇😇😇 LOVED IT!
Bishop Baron is such a professional, love it.
Looking forward to the movie 🍿
great interview; Mark's brother had a wonderful interview recently on The Journey Home on the EWTN network ~ worth the watch
More so than ever 🙏 live in UK not here yet, beyond excited. Don't know where I'd be without God ❤
Saw the movie and it was great. Tears! Such a peace when you hand your life to Christ. Take the wheel!!
Excellent movie 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟planning to see again! All of the Actors are awesome
Saw the movie Fr Stu last night. I ADORED it! The story, the script and acting was stellar
YESSSSSSS 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Please do more movies like Fr. Stu. It revealed how stories in the Bible aren't just in the past. We all can experience divine intervention and guidance with God as our Director, Counselor, and Father. Keep them nonfiction...this world has too much fiction/fake.
Watch The Chosen on UA-cam. it's amazing 👏 🙏
It is so rare in the universe that a great Revelation can be given to a whole world, for most worlds do not have the freedom to allow anything like that to happen."
A quote from *The Great Coordination* - a teaching from *The New Message from God*
Where did you read this?
@@LauraBeeDannon It's from one of the teachings from The New Message from God. The New Message is a New Revelation from God to humanity, for these times and for the difficult times now coming on the horizon.
@@oneworldonehome Hi Ivan,
This message from "the new message from God" is a very strange one.
Thank you, Ivan.
Profound!
Thank you, Bishop Barron, for this insightful interview with Mark Wahlberg. I look forward to seeing this movie soon.
If anybody here meets Mark Wahlberg , tell him I loved him in The Other Guys and that he was the 7th best Human character in the Transformers Franchise
Oh, man. You completely forgot "Invincible". What a great portrayal of Vince Papale.
This made me chuckle.
I hope many more actors and influential people get the courage to bring people closer to God like you did. God blessed and inspired you Mark. That’s a great gift. Thank you and God bless you and yours my brother in Christ 🥰
Watched the movie on Netflix. What a beautiful story!
The scene at the bar with Jesus. I watched it a couple of times to make sure I understood. Was struck by how normal it seemed on the surface, but there's so much going on!
God Bless the makers, cast, Fr. Stu and his family.
Honestly, my two favorite people in their fields… just wonder! As I remind my family, Mark and I have the same name, the same birthday, and have wives that have the same birth day!
😲 Amazing 🏴
Great conversation. Thanks for this discussion.
I only saw the trailer for this today, so I'm late to the party. Bishop loves his movies, and it's an interesting choice for Mark, so this should be a fun one.
Bishop Barron should have a movie made about to him. He’s my rock star.
Good interview!
Thank you both! It is so inspiring to see the change God has brought unto Mark’s life ♥️ Bless you both and your families 🙏🥰
This is amazing. May we all be able to find our path in life through the faith of God
This I think, is gonna be a really good film.
👌👏🏴
I loved the movie. Met a new friend sitting by me named Mary. Two Catholic women named Mary.. What are the odds???
So beautiful pointing out different ways God used different components to chart a path for life.
Agree with other comments here I love Bishops conversations and biblical application to teach.
So awesome to see two of my favorite people in conversation with one another! So cool! Looking forward to seeing this movie!
Saw this a couple of days ago, LOVED IT. Such a great movie. ❤️
Thank you, I really love the movie Father Stu.
Very moving.🙏🏼🕊
Thanks for the interview. Looking forward to the movie.
This is great.God bless you Bishop Barron and Mark 🙏 💕
Thanks Mark for not hiding your light
God bless you
Can't wait to see this😍🙏🏾
