      Agree 100% It was a very good interview, and I think Mark W sold short his imitation. It wasn't bad at all.
      Also, thank you Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior and God and King, for bringing me into Your one, holy, Catholic and Apostolic church. It's the most wonderful thing that ever happened to me and I am ETERNALLY grateful!

      The only one thing was the imitation.
      That would have hit a nerve, personally, but no hard feelings, he just added: I’m used to it, see you later and at the same time kinda looked away.
      That is all that would have been awkward, but yes, very good interview, short and sweet.
      Also Mark didn’t mean it to come off mean spirited and even bought it up in the end, apologizing for the bad accent.
      Looking forward to watching!

We can’t expect that every faithful Catholic is prepared to launch into a deep dive on theology or spill their guts on how grace works in their lives. Most Catholics don’t have words for our experience even when we have good prayer habits, remain close to the sacraments, and cultivate a closeness to our Lord. We are out here living our lives in a secular world so it’s not a muscle we flex as often as professional podcasters and apologists. The questions were good and the answers felt sincere. I think this was just a long day of interviews and media he did back to back (hence why it is so short). Hard to be enthusiastic like that but I would like to see him more joyful for sure

    Praise God! I loved this. I can relate. I love my Catholic faith too and it's refreshing to hear an actor attribute the good things that have happened to him to God and his faith. He's so right, God is just waiting for each of us to turn back to Him.

    As a former journalist, I honestly don't think you were awkward at all. I interviewed Aretha Franklin once and could barely get a word out. After 8 minutes exactly, she said "I'm done with this interview" and hung up. ahahahahha. Humbling.

    • @CassaundraBabe
      @CassaundraBabe 2 роки тому +5

      @@deliamcmahon4603 I did, Delia. It was via phone. She wasn't nice. And I was horribly nervous. So it was a terrible combination. I ended up writing a column about how awkward I was. It got a lot of laughs and sold tickets to her show. But she lost me as a fan. (I'm sure she was devastated. hahahaha)

    Mark and Matt, if you are checking in(lol)-
    Two great subjects to follow up for upcoming Catholic themed movies based on real characters:
    The life of NYPD police officer Steven McDonald. Shot and paralyzed from the neck down, forgiving his assailant and turning the rest of his life to a mission of forgiveness.
    Another great subject of forgiveness, the story of Imaculee Ilibagiza and her survival in Rwanda and the forgiveness she showed to those who killed her family and friends.
    Will be praying that those with the influence and the talent to make these sort of stories come to life will do so.
    Can't wait to see Father Stu!
