    We are now doing weekly aerial flyovers depending on the support that we get. Our cost range from pilot fees to rental fees of the Cessna 172 that is used for the flyovers over the sites.

    We made a slight edit to trim out 1 line that wasn't necessary, thanks to all that suggested it.

    You guys are the best channel for no nonsense hard data and relevant updates. Is my favorite way to keep track of Starbase progress. Thank you for all you guys/gals do.

    The rocket business surely seems to be mostly a tank and pump business 😋

    In the area of the 4:15 mark, you state the it's weird they are setting up more stand for tower sections. Don't forget Elon has said they plan to increase the length of starship by like 30' to 60' if I remember correctly. I think this new tower will be at least one, if not two sections taller than the original.

    Could those mystery pieces mentioned in this episode at 3:57 be the prototypes for flooring in an HLS Starship? Or perhaps the interior walls of a new payload bay on Starship? They appear to be shaped to fit in a Starship with the holes for the down comer and a notch for the risers on the sides of Starship. 🤔

    I would think an Open C stage zero would be more conducive to launching with less damage to the launch mount.

    3:59 I don't know these things history; but if I had to take a shot in the dark, that looks an awful lot like 2 floors of a human rated, gravity aligned crew cabin. To detract from my idea, though; It is definitely an odd place for prototype Human Lander equipment to be.

    Arent they making the second launch tower taller.

    Curious, how come none of the channels that cover the launches gets a boat? Can you not get close enough on launch day for it to be worth it?

    • @DanielRichards644
      @DanielRichards644 Місяць тому +2

      because there is land just as close as the boats can get.

      The nautical exclusion zone is large. Plus, camera tracking from a boat would be a nightmare.

    It's amazing that SpaceX is not testing landing a booster without launching it to space first. And doing those tests over and over again until perfected. Why delay testing booster landing based upon success of the remainder of the mission's successes?

    • @bryanillenberg
      @bryanillenberg Місяць тому +6

      Time: doing booster landing tests would delay launches

    • @DanielRichards644
      @DanielRichards644 Місяць тому

      you need a starship on top of booster to launch the booster, well that or some nose cone thing and you really don't get any data that you need with sub orbital booster launches if you are talking do the Hops like the ships did, just not worth wasting hardware for that data. You need the re-entry velocities.

    • @dphuntsman
      @dphuntsman Місяць тому +1

      Would slow them down for data they are going to get in due course anyway.

    • @bryanillenberg
      @bryanillenberg Місяць тому

      @@DanielRichards644 by focusing on Super Heavy catches, you risk the launch tower, and the design may change significantly from the catchable vehicle to a launchable vehicle.

    • @Barthhhelona
      @Barthhhelona Місяць тому +1

      They have to use the booster to launch starship any way and they need to launch until starship has its objectives met. They may as well use those tests to also practice booster entry burns and soft water landing. It’s faster and more efficient that way.

    Time to go to a go to a Flame trench system for all launches.
