Jenny, I i love it! Thank you for sharing this with us, especially the what ifs. So cute for a baby . ALWAYS a great job. God bless you.🙏💖🤟🍀🧵🪡✂️🦓 Liz in Northern California
What a quick and easy quilt. I love all the "what ifs." The baby quilt would be a great one to make if you need a baby gift at the last minute. Thanks for another great tutorial.
Amazing how quick and easy communication is today. I live in Rio de Janeiro/Brasil and I am enjoying this vídeo you put out only 32 minutes ago. It is now 2:30 a.m. here. Thank u so much for this tutorial that I plan to follow soon in my next quilt.
I liked the “What if” segment. Natalie did a more detailed flange binding lesson in her Final Stitch series and I have used it a number of times. I usually prefer to turn my bindings by hand just because I think they look so much better with a nice hidden stitch. But when making a baby or small child quilt or a table runner that will probably go in the washer much more often the machine binding is a lot more durable. That flange binding has become my go-to for those situations. That review was a good refresher.
I have a layer cake for Easter that I have been looking at this evening but couldn't find a pattern I wanted to do with it. Totally using this pattern this weekend!
I have to admit that I didn't care for this quilt at first. I almost didn't watch the video, but I'm glad I did. WOW!!! This is gorgeous! Thank you so much for showing us this beautiful quilt! And now I can go out to our garage to care for the injured cat I rescued. He has been to the vet and will be our guest for 2 weeks.
Good Evening Jenny, I love the Colors of these fabrics, so deep and yes, the do make a nice diagonal trail down the quilt. I hope you have an amazing weekend ❣️ 🥰 Chris
Love it. The binding is so cool. Thank you. I want to make all the quilts you show. If I live as long as my mum that gives me 22years, should about do it.😉
"What if moments"are great to watch as it gives us other color pallets & size options to see; since most of us are visual & tactile (touch-y feely) fabric artists. It would be a nice feature for most designs you teach!
I love that you make the flange binding look so easy, it encourages me to give it a try. It is not as easy for me, but because I try, I can and then get better each time until it is easy. Thank You, Jenny, I can't tell you how much I appreciate your tutorials, as a left hand person, they have been a God send. XXOO
Me too. I am left handed and find Jenny's instruction easier to follow. Us lefties get forgotten some times!!! Thank you Linda for your comment and Jenny for being a lefty! ❤️
I love how you explain things and make them easy. You are a natural teacher and creator. Thank you for all you do, I'm goung to make one this weekend for my 1 year old great granddaughter.
I do love a quilt I can finish in a weekend. Awesome tutorial Jenny and MSQC. Thanks for continuing to give patterns for easy patterns with unique looks!
Jenny and friends, I love learning from you! This pattern looks so appealing! Might be really cute with charm packs and 3” (I’m guessing?!) bg squares!
I love using a flange border. It is a great alternative when you don't have enough of a fabric that you hoped to use as your binding plus it adds to the design elements of your quilt.
Jenny!! I tried this a few weeks ago...the flange binding...based on an older tutorial you had. It is actually EASIER to do than a regular one fabric binding as you have the flange to follow sewing the top side. Will only do this style going forward. It adds a punch of style and a flawless finish. Thank you 💕💕
That's amazing thank you Jenny I've been Trying to do this for years didn't think of doing it that way ,you make it so much easier big hugs to you all from sally in UK x
Wow, what a easy block. We're making donation quilts and it's another idea for the project. The 2 colour binding tutorial was so easy to follow. A nice refresher. Thank you so much for your videos!!❤
Amazing video Jenny 🤩 So many possibilities with just one easy to make block 😊 We quilters are so lucky to have you and the Missouri Star team working so hard to bring us these videos 👍 Thank you so much 👏👏🇬🇧
All of your quilts are beautiful. Who would have thought that one simple block would look so different? Jenny Doan did!! Thank you for connecting the blocks for us! Your flang border instruction is so useful! TY Jenny Doan! I appreciate all you do😍👏
Jenny, thank you for showing us how to stitch the flange binding. I really want to try this on a quilt. It really isn't as hard as I thought. Be well to all of you!
Oh I just love how simple a square can make so many beautiful quilts. I love your tutorials they are so easy to follow. I am also left handed so it always looks easy for me to follow. Love Missouri Star. 😍
Love love love the what if quilts. It's what I live about triple play seeing different colorways and placements. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity.
Love this pattern; so simple! What I especially like about this flange binding is, sometimes I have not quite had enough yardage for a binding - Never again! I will just pick a complementary fabric and make a flange binding. Thank you!
Fabulous tutorial! I’ve gotten to a place in time where quick and easy is my “sew jam” and this newest quilt of yours is right up my alley! Thank you for all the time you devote to all of us quilters around the world ❤
I love that you're saving the corners and repurposing them in another part of the quilt. I love doing that even with the tiny ones. Just can't bring myself to toss this little guys.
I was so intimidated by quilt blocks when I started quilting, they all looked so complicated. I'm so glad I started watching your videos! You break the patterns down and make them much easier and less scary. Thanks!!
LOVE each variation!!!! Thinking of your “Eclipse” pattern, I’d like to try yellows, brown and greens and see how much it can resemble sunflowers. THANK YOU🌻🌞🌻🌞🌻
I am a newbie at quilting. Your tutorial was very helpful with the flange and binding. I love the modern quilt patterns and bright colors. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and time.
Another quilt on my to-make list! Thank you, Jenny. As always, you created a quick, beautiful quilt! And the tips and what-ifs were great, too! Have a blessed day!
All those quilts are beautiful!! You make it all look so very easy!! I know your years of quilting factors into that!! Thank you so much for sharing your creativity and talents with us!
And I'm sitting here thinking -- 'what if' I switch to always using a flange binding? So easy, and less anxious for me than single-edge binding. Lots of great ideas in this one, thanks!
This is just great! I love how it incorporates a layer cake (any time I can use pre-cuts is a good time!) and also love the extra triangles in the border and the "what-if" baby quilt. Your very thorough binding tutorial is a really wonderful bonus to this video and makes me eager to try a flange (and machine-finishing in the ditch!) for the first time. Thank you so much, Jenny!
I have a layer cake that is blue flowers. With a red background I think it would be perfect for a Texas quilt! 🧵 Thank you so much for sharing your brainstorming… and that simple can be beautiful as well.
Well who doesn’t love a dressed-up quilt that’s just a little bit fancy?! Thanks for this flange binding tutorial Jenny. All your quilts in this video are great. Pecking order, the “eclipse” version, has been on my “Quilts to Make” list since you put out that tutorial video (yes, I’m a verrrry slow sewist 😉!)
