- Niagara Falls consists of two waterfalls on the Niagara River, which marks the border between New York and Ontario, Canada.
The Horseshoe Falls is located on the Canadian side and the American Falls located on the American side.
Niagara Falls State Park offers some breathtaking views of the Niagara Falls.
You can reach Goat Island by car or on foot crossing the American Falls pedestrian bridge.
The name comes from John Stedman, an early pioneer who kept a herd of goats on the island. The animals all died in the terrible winter of 1780, but gave the island its name.
Also, Luna Island takes you right to the edge of the falls, offering some spectacular views.
