Generally, the Canadian side has a greater variety of things to do, and the views of all of the falls tend to be slightly better from there. However, the American side has some unique attractions and beautiful views of the Canadian side. All that said, Niagara Falls is a wonderful place that every person should see at least once in their lifetime.

There are evening cruises and you see the fireworks. If you head over the the maid of the mist website, they list the last cruise of the day but also the firework cruise options. We did the fireworks cruise last time and it’s a little longer time in the boat but also a little colder so bring Layers! (We went in August!)

Haha you can bring your own raincoat but everyone gets given the same raincoat for the ride. You don't have to wear it though, it is just an option because you do get pretty wet!

I have lived in Niagara falls NY almost my whole life. I warn you, Don't enter Niagara falls. It is very dangerous. Stay to the falls or if you want to shop. Go to Military rd. The outlet mall. and Walmart. That part is outside of city and is safe.

It depends on activities but you can take young children on the maid of the mist! You can book the boat ride when there or online
